You're right, Amor. I'm an all-natural mommy; no intervention without medical neccessity. I'm birthing with a midwife rather than a doctor for exactly that reason. Where I live, the one and only hospital has banned VBACs, so I'd have a repeat c-section if I went to a doctor. I'm avoiding it like...well, like unneccessary surgery.

Daddy and I have been gettin our swerve on, and I've been walking a lot, using evening primrose oil, raspberry leaf tea, and accupressure (which does work, but it stops when you stop stimulating the pressure points unless the baby is ready). I haven't done anything more inductive than that. Just keeping a close eye on the little guy for signs that his placenta is degenerating, of which there are none. The waiting is nearly over, though. I think he's finally decided on a birthday, either tonight or tomorrow. It's getting pretty intense.

hey everyone, for those wondering and not on my fb, here's my little man. he's now almost 2 months old.

voxmystic - I wish you all the luck that the little one will come out tonight or tomorrow.. you're a strong woman <3 Can't wait to hear the news it has all happened so we know you will be at rest. Ah man it sounds full on. All the power to ya! <3

L2R - Your bubba melts my heart !!!! <3

Much <3, voxmystic! A Solstice babe would be wonderful!

DFRS and samadhi, you landed quality dudes for sure. Many happy days ahead.

Lefty, your little one couldn't be any cuter!

I'm still having premonition-type thoughts that I will concieve at 33, 2 years from now. I am still too much of a flake, but I think I will be a good Mom when the time is right. I've been spending a lot of time around little ones. They inspire me. :)

Hey L2R! I wondered how it went with you. Your baby boy is so handsome! Congrats to you all!

Axe Allen was born last night after about 9 hours of active labor, and 2 or 3 pushes. No complications, no interventions. Could not have asked for a better birth!

Natural birth is this wild stew of pain and panic and endorphines. The spaces between pains are REALLY spacey! Then, when you realize that a human head is emerging from your body, and nothing can stop it, there is this moment of oh-my-god-what-the-fuck-was-I-thinking........then he's out, and the relief is tremendous, and the chemicals are insane!

I'm awed today, by my baby, my body, the sheer miracle! I couldn't sleep after he was born. Still haven't slept. He's been sleeping just fine. I just looked at him all night.

I'm chewing on some realities, too. Like, I'll never be pregnant, or birth a child, again. That part of my life is past. Like, that bump turned into a real boy, and I'm responsible for escorting him from infancy to adulthood. What a day! What a trip!

^awesome congratulations! sounds like a great birth :D

also congratulations to four, well done! nice photo.

my boy was due may 1st, but came 6 days early on anzac day (ensuring a public holiday every bday, the little smartarse). on top of this it was the night after a big easter lunch and drinks at my folk's place, and i was 2 hours into a 3 hour live george clinton/parliament concert up the road when i got the text. ran home (5 mins) and it was on. the kid was in a rush, but the epidural chilled him out a bit. early the next morning after 2 HOURS of pushing, he arrived and it was as magical (if not more) than everyone says. big guy, 3.85kgs at birth. lucky for wifey he came early!

he cracked his first proper laugh and smiles on day 13.

vox that is truly inspiring. Congratulations hun!! I am in awe of YOU! <3

L2R your bub is absolutely adorable, I can't wait to meet him!! <3

Great news! Congratulations on your baby boy. Can't wait to see pics. I also couldn't sleep after I gave birth, and my labor was over 19 hours long. Couldn't stop thinking about my healthy baby boy. Get some rest and have a splendid "baby-moon" :)

Mrs. Doors walked in tonight with an ultrasound photograph. There are three heartbeats, two in one gestational sac, one in another. My life has changed forever. Never in a million years did I think I'd ever be the father of triplets. I'm a real mix of weird emotions right now.

WHOA, DUDE!!!!!!! That's just gotta be freaky!! Wow! I can't imagine! I've always been scared I'd have twins! Congratulations times three, Doors!!!

holy crap, 3!? i can only imagine the shock you're in. those babes are definitely in good hands though :)
