37 weeks, 4 days -- As I was pouring coffee for my husband yesterday morning, my little boy went "clunk", right into my pelvis -- he's in the chute! Breathing just got a LOT easier! My bladder has the capacity of a thimble, though, so it all evens out. And now, when he squirms, he pushes on the nerves that run down my legs, and it feels kinda like the sensation you get when you smack your funny-bone. I've gained 29lbs, and my gait is definitely resembling a waddle. This is the home stretch!
My house is filling up with baby gifts faster than I can make space for them all -- we'll be lucky if he can wear every outfit once before it's outgrown! I probably spend an hour every day talking my mom out of stuff I don't need -- a stroller (no pavement), a swing (I'm a "constant physical contact" mommy), a crib (we co-sleep)....I told her she could buy us a California-king size BeautyRest, but I guess she didn't hear.......
We're all SO excited! Every other sententence out of my little girl's mouth starts with "When my little brother gets born..." SOOO adorable! She's gonna be an awesome big sister! I'm hoping my son is as smart and healthy and beautiful, with as sweet a disposition as his sis -- that's not too much to ask, right?
I'm (slowly) packing today to move to Ketchikan for a couple of weeks to await my little man's big debut. Can't wait to see him!
