The Big & Dandy Volumetric Liquid Measurement thread

You could do this. Please make sure your original amount is actually 250mg... I've received anywhere from 150 to 450mg of a chemical from a vendor when I ordered 250mg. I mean, usually it's quite close anyway, but sometimes they are just plain wrong.

If you have an oral syringe or some other means of measuring milliliters, you can easily measure the 25mg doses once it's dissolved. Then you can put it out to evaporate. But keep in mind that it will be left as a crystally residue on whatever it's evaporated on, not as full crystals like what you received. They'll be stuck to the surface sort of like a film, evenly coated. It will probably be hard to get it all off. However, depending on what surface you've evaporated it on, you would probably be able to scrape/lick it all off. I wouldn't coiunt on being able to scrape 100% of it off though. Maybe if you have a perfectky flat glass surface and use a razor blade and are very thorough.

Do you have any access to even small amounts of alcohol, like just tip a little over from a bottle you have somewhere? If so, you can dissolve the 250mg in 15mL of distilled water + 10mL of some sort of alcohol, or even 20mL and 5mL, for a combined solution of 10mg/mL, and then if you buy a graduated oral syringe with tick marks at every fifth of a mL (I found one for $1 at Walgreens), you can measure out 10mg/mL, or 2mg/tick mark. And you'll have alcohol in your solution, enough to prevent bacterial growth and stuff.
Oh yea I could get a small amount of alcohol out of my parents liquor cabinet of course, haha. And maybe something like foil would be a good surface to let the water evaporate on? I imagine it wouldnt be too hard to scape the residue off of it.

Hm I'll see. I don't really like this idea too much, but it's better than eyeballing. If I can get enough donations from a site I run, I may be able to purchase a gempro250 scale. I guess I'll have to wait and see how things go.

I would definitely not use foil... I'm thinking some sort of flat glass surface. Foil would tear and not remain flat.

Of course, a scale is the best idea, if at all possible.

If you can get a little alcohol, you can certainly use liquid storage and measurement as I desfribed, and just keep it in that form, in a dry, cold place. I guess if you live with your parents, some of this might not be possible.

Eh I do live with my parents, but I'm sure I could easily keep it stored/hidden.

If I were to do the liquid measurement (which is looking like my only option currently, seeing as a reliable scale is going to run me $300), how long could I store 2c-i for? I'm thinking I would keep it in a mason jar, mixed with distilled water and alcohol.

With at least 20% alcohol in the solution, and stored in the fridge, it would last for years probably... I had 2C-I stored in solution for well over a year once and it was fine. Frozen it would last practically forever I think. At room temperature it would even last for some time, although it would certain start to degrade much faster. 2C-Xs are quite stable molecules.

I may soon have 1 gram of 2c-c. I don't want to store it in alcohol because I may want to use rectal admin. What is the best way to store my substance? I plan on doing 500 ML of distilled water, so 2mg=1ml. Also, this may be for a different thread but I will just toss it in there, if i decide I want a 30mg trip rectally, would 15ml of water be to much for me to squirt up there?

One more thing, do large amounts of the substance stay in the syringe or out? should i flush and drink/administer a couple times to get it all?

^ 15ml is a bit too much liquid to administer rectally, so I'd recommend a more concentrated solution, at least 6 mg/ml.

You do not need to worry about the miniscule amounts of substance that might stick to the syringe, so multiple flushing and administering is not neccessary.

Would 10mg=1ml be to much to dissolve into a solution for a beginner? Sorry for so many Question! I just dont want to mess up my product that Im paying $$$ for and also just dont want to dose to high or not know my dosage amount. :( Happened before with 2c-e and holy crap that was the worst ever.

Hmm, I don't know the solubility of 2C-C, but 10 mg/ml should probably be fine. If you can't get it into solution you can always apply a little heat, add a bit of acid, or add more water to get it all to dissolve. Also, you need an accurate enough syringe to use for dosing, but for 2C-C it doesn't matter as much I suppose as it would for 2C-E, for example.

Does anyone have any anecdotal information about medium evaporation? Imagine if someone uses pretty high a concentration of drug in liquid and/or a quite high ethanol concentration stored over a longer period while opening the container every now and then...
...well you'd expect the solution to get stronger over time.

Is there any advice to be heeded or a sort of guideline how to avoid such a thing happening?
By the way for me personally I think the factors are kept at a safe point.

Something like: If you want to store something for > 1 year don't let the concentrations go over (...)

Just an idea

Thank you! One last question.....

Can I put in a food dye? So if someone does stumble upon it they will know it is something of value because I Dyed it rather than just Water in a jar? Or will it create more of a chance to contaminate it/ ruin the compound?

^ Why don't you just properly label the jar? "2C-C, 10 mg/ml, do not consume!" Or something like that.

Not sure about food dye, never thought of using it, I would assume it's safe to use but I have no way to be certain.

Yea I will defiantly do that, I just wanted to make it look all unique %)

Couple dumbass questions:

What should I buy to put my 125mg of 2ce (like what kind of container)?

Does the 2c-e automatically dissolve perfectly even in a container of water? I mean isn't there a risk that one mL of water will have more 2ce than other mL of water.

Really not a chemist so sorry if this is kind of a stupid question.

Solutions: Solubility & Stability Mega-Thread. How's that reading list going? ;)

My 2C-E is kept it a bog-standard plastic baggie in a cool place and 2C-E is water soluble so will be distributed evenly throughout the water and/or alcohol solution you dissolve it in :)

Also, many thanks for researching and asking in the relevant threads - many don't bother but it's always better to research more to avoid problems :)

Damn I'm really worried I'm gonna fuck this water mixing thing up...

More of an English/History major type guy hahaha.

Thanks for the help.

Honestly man... you should be fine. Just measure the water correctly, and if you don't have a scale... start with a supposed 5mg dose. Your total weight could accidentally have been 250 or even 500mg by mistake...

Im sure you will be fine.

As to what to store it in... I like the little energy shot bottles... They hold up to 60ml and when you remove the label you can write 2C-E 5mg/ml TOXIC! DO NOT CONSUME! (Presuming that's your concentration.

You're talking about the 5 hour energy things?

Will any leftover stuff from that mess with the 2ce?

Yeah... or even like a redbull energy shot..

Nothing should be left over if you rinse it several times... Besides, the 5-hour energy things really are just a blend of B-vitamins with a bit of caffeine.

I REALLY suck at math and those kinds of things, can someone spell out in baby talk how this works?

So, I've got 125 mg of 2ce... I want to store it in a container of liquid that will allow me to measure exactly how much I take... Will this work?:

1. Buy say, a 500mL container (from walmart or whatever).
2. Fill it with 500mL of tap water.
3. Throw in my 125 mg of 2ce.
4. Stir with a spoon.
5. Use syringe to take out say, 60mL of the water mixed with the 2ce (if I want a 15mg dose) and put it into a cup.
6. Drink.

Is that right?

Will the 2c-e evenly distribute itself perfectly in tap water and not undissolve over time? Would that container of water+2ce then have exactly 1 mg of 2c-e in every 4mL of water?

Thanks guys. Appreciate it.

Oh and can I just store this stuff in a fridge?
Are syringes the best (most accurate) way to take out some of the solution for a dose?
