I have heard not to put it in foil, but also the opposite, no clear answer, but I was taught by people I respect that foil is the way to go. I'm always down for smashing some conventional wisdom, though, if you have some reasoning as to why not?
 
One question that I have never been able to answer for years is the following (concerning LSD handling): it is often said that LSD fluoresces when exposed to near-UV rays (blacklight). While this is in fact true, my question is: does the exposure itself (let's assume, say around 30 seconds exposure length) not cause significant degradation of the LSD into the lumi-LSD form? Or is lumi-LSD due to addition of water across the alkene bond--thus, exposure to light in just (low-humidity) air would not cause significant damage?
 
i dunno if this has already been disscused but i got some acid on a sugar cube how long will it stay good if its in a dark cold airtight place

i just wanted to randomly post here & say that i've found a nice way to store liquid LSD...

drop the dose or doses onto a piece of a teabag, let it dry, then roll it up & put it in a gel/veggie cap. :] works very well.

If it is sealed up tight, it will last many years in the freezer. I've eaten some that a guy had kept for ~5 years like that, and it was fine. I wasn't around to try it before storage, so I can't comment on any changes (not that I'd be able to accurately w/ a 5 year gap anyway...), but it was still plenty potent.
 
If acid is kept in between sticky paper, will it cause the lsd to come off the paper or only if there is an absorbant solution such as alcohol, water, etc?
 
does anybody use silica gel (in an enclosed packet) to prolong stored LSD from degrading? This seems like a good idea according to the chemistry but does anybody have personal antecdotes or use this method?

Thats a safe assumption, yeah. It might remove some of the surface of the blotter too. Don't store it between sticky paper?

Yeah, I keep all my chemicals like that, except for a few that I never really get into. I do it more to keep moisture from making things tacky and all that than a fear of degredration in the freezer though. I use oxygen absorber packets when I have them around as well, but I don't go out of my way to get them.

Ive had some stored in a baggie for awhile and it has kept fine in a drawer

its pretty stable

that said, I think the best bet is to just extract a gram or so at a time so you never have a bunch extra laying around (its probably more stable stored in the bark, in an airtight container in the freezer)
 
While DMT will probably keep just fine in a drawer out of light for a while, it's best if kept in the freezer and out of light.
 
What is the best way to store mushrooms? I was thinking putting them in foil and then in an airtight baggie in an airtight container in the fridge. I want to store them for approximately 2 months? Any personal antecdotes?
 
Just get a glass jar with an airtight lid or a rubber stopper. Then put them in there with a silica packet or other dessicant, and put them in the refrigerator away from the light.
 
where can one get silica gel packets i know i find them in shoes and coats but what kind of store sells dessicant i have only come across it once in an art supply store and it was prohibitively expensive, office supply stores?
