so wait is wrapping tabs in foil bad? Can someone tell me exactly what the best method for storing tabs is? I don't have any vials or anything like that but plenty of the film box thingos. what if I take out one of those moisture absorbant thingos that come in pill bottles and put em in with the tabs, is that good?

Sounds like a plan. Pop it in the freezer if you can. Make sure to wait for it to reach room temp before opening it to avoid condensation inside the canister.
 
Interestingly, I had some 4-AcO-DMT stored in tap water (yes I know) and didn't end up using it as quickly as I planned and now its turned bluish. It also has what appear to be a few fluffy snowflakes in it, which I presume is mold. I'll be tossing it (the same thing happened before with some 4-AcO-DMT), but I wonder if it may be 4-HO-DMT?
 
A quick question.

Is it a bad idea to store psychedelic powders outside? I don't need to worry about water or snow etc, but I'm just curious as to the constant temperature fluctuation. Some days its -10C, then it goes up to -5, then 0 and +5, back to -10 etc.

Would it be better to store inside at room temperature (constant)?
 
Temperature changes shouldn't matter, its the average temperature thats important. Since its much colder outside than inside stuff would last longer outside. Weather the difference would be important or not depends on the chemical. Whats wrong with the freezer?
 
storing gel caps

I filled a bunch of gel caps with 4-AcO-DMT but didn't wind up using them, and now probably won't use them for many months. Can I just put the filled gel caps in an amber vial in the freezer, or would it be better to empty the powder out of the caps directly into a vial for long term storage?

Is it bad to wrap up LSD tabs in tin foil, or is it better to use plastic wrap? How long should one wait to open LSD, once it is taken out of the freezer after being stored for a month or so?

They are fine in the gelcaps. Just make sure the container and contents have completely returned to room temperature before opening so that water does not condense on them and make them stick together (be patient. if not sure, set it out and go do something else).

I wouldn't empty them unless you were going to change the dose anyway, you are just going to lose more drug in the transfers.

A packet of dessicant would not hurt, if you have one.

I had about 20 gel tabs that I kept in an amber-tinted vial for exactly 1 year. I kept this vial in a dark place at room temp for the entire year. To my complete surprise, these gel tabs lost little, if any, potency!! I was expecting to have at least some sort of loss in potency after that long of a time without being in a freezer. But sure enough, they were just fine at room temp :)

In summary, the key is to keep your hits in a completely air-tight and light-free environment, and to open your container as little as possible to avoid any unnecessary exposure to oxygen. I am a big fan of keeping my lucy in amber vials, because they allow for more light-free and air-tight storage than, say, a ziplock bag and/or foil.

I'm not sure if gel tab LSD is inherently more stable than blotter paper LSD, but I think that perhaps it is. This, of course, is just speculation on my behalf.

I wrapped my acid (blotter) hits in a piece of paper (normal paper), tinfoil, and then plastic wrap, then into an airtight bag. Should it be good for a while?
 
^ sounds pretty good

my method:

blotter wrapped in cellophane wrapped in tinfoil wrapped in cellophane wrapped in tinfoil placed in prescription bottle with a pack of dessicant wrapped in tinfoil placed in freezer

it's like christmas morning when you finally wanna trip :) and keeps your doses pretty strong
