☛ Official ☚ The Big & Dandy Mescaline Extraction thread

if you pourred the tea into a glass pie dish u could prob evaporate in the pie dish n then scrape up the powder

im sure u could boil it down to a small sludgy amount of liquid but it will be quite time consuming (not to say that the pie dish evaporation wont cuz it will too)

but yea i would recommend the pie dish evaporation over the simmering until there is only a small bit of liquid but both should work n its really more about ur personal preference

awesome. thanks. (btw, i think i just experienced a shroom flashback in the shower a couple minutes ago.... wierd shit just happened in a period of 4 seconds.. never happened before. haha)

I have a question about the food grade limonene extraction tek. I have ordered all the materials exept for the food dehydrator. Its kinda pricey and Im wondering if anybody knows any alternative methods of dehydrating/ evaporating the vinegar in the last phase to produce mescaline acetate crystals ?

Thanks man, that helps. Any idea how much longer that would take ? I think even with the dehydrator its about 2 dayz. And what about an oven ? Id have to find out what the melting point of mescaline is (I think its on erowid) so I dont destroy any of it

I'd avoid the oven. If you put it in a wide bottomed pan (increasing surface area) it will dry quickly enough. If you have a fan, put it on low and it will dry even faster.

No point in possibly destroying the mescaline.

With a fan a few hundred mls will dissolve in about a day. If you really want to speed it up you could put it on a hot plate or the burner of your stove at a low heat setting.

starting my extraction this week !
I tried a few grams of my dried PT last week (maybe 15 grams)
Of course it didn't do a lot, but I felt the peace of it.
Fell asleep and woke up with orgasmic feelings...
Want to do a full on experience now

Good to go with a d-limonene extraction. I'll let you know !

No need for the ridiculous subterfuge, MrFlibble. Feeding drugs to monkeys is highly illegal and deeply immoral and you don't wanna be busted for animal cruelty, I'm sure. The first person is far better for all concerned :)

Have no info on that particular extraction technique but will merge this into the main mescaline extraction thread for you to read through. Quite probably already been discussed in there and if not it will make a happy home for itself there soon enough :)

I don't see why it would not work. Mescaline is pretty heat-stable. Its melting point is significantly above water's boiling point.
http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/mescaline/mescaline_chemistry.shtml

However, you could have trouble with it sticking to the pan.

The sugars in the plant significantly raise the temperature above waters boiling point.

Mescalines melting point 183–186 °C (361–367 °F) (Sulfate dihydrate) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mescaline

In me experience and many others heat does degrade it quite a bit.

69ron's TEK:
1. Powderize your dried cactus. Mix 100 grams of dried powderized cactus with 25 grams of calcium hydroxide. Add 300 ml water to make it feel wet but not watery. Mix for about 5 minutes.
2. Add 300 ml of d-limonene. Mix well. Let sit a few hours.
3. Pour off the d-limonene through a filter.
NOTE Image:Information.png

It's really cool if you use a French Coffee Press for this. Using a French Coffee Press you press the cactus mix and squeeze out the d-limonene to get every last drop of d-limonene out. Then filter it through a paper coffee filter.

4. Add 25 ml of vinegar to the d-limonene. Mix thoroughly.
5. Separate the vinegar from the d-limonene (the vinegar is at the bottom, the d-limonene at the top). This vinegar will contain mescaline acetate. Evaporate your vinegar in a food dehydrator at 155 F to get waxy amber slightly impure mescaline acetate.

To separate the vinegar from the d-limonene you can use a glass gravy separator or a separatory funnel. Seperatory funnels are considered laboratory glassware and are banned for individual use in some locations. A gravy separator works almost just as well and can be found at some local kitchenware shops.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 at least 2-3 times.
7. Repeat steps 2 - 6 at least 2 times.

Question about 7. Repeat steps 2-6.
2. Add 300 ml of d-limonene. Mix well. Let sit a few hours.

Add the d-limonene to what? A new set of catcus+ch? the old already used cactus? or the end product--waxy amber slightly impure mescaline acetate?

is there any alternative to using a food dehydrator to evaporate the vinegar?

they seem a bit expensive...

Throw down the 50 bucks and you have one for the rest of your life =D

Try Ebay there's always bargains for the stealing on kitchen appliances.

Although if you must, place the liquid/mescaline concoction on a plate-pyrex dish with a fan gently blowing over the liquid.

as far as I can tell, food dehydrators have a grill style layer you put the food on
(see pic)

So I've got a load of vinegar which i obviously cannot put on a grill without it leaking.. how exactly does that work? Am I looking at the wrong type of food dehydrator?

maybe put the dish the vinegar is in inside the food dehydrator?

all the dehydrators seem to have a ring style arrangement with a spindle in the middle, I'd have to get lots and lots of small dishes to go in a circle

seems like im missing something.. if someone could recommend me a brand/style of food dehydrator that would be apprecieated
