I only get around to maybe once or twice a year. I could imagine getting into it you'd do it more often, just for me it's such a big deal that once I'm done even if I had a blast it's like "woah, won't be doing that again for a while". It's like a feel satisfied.
Plus I find it hard to find a really good time to trip, I'm very selective about who I trip with an under what circumstances. At night? Never. More than 2 or 3 people? Never. Bad weather/rain? Never. Any sort of obligations in the next 24 hours? Never. Stuck inside? Never. Stuck outside? Never. And I make sure I don't have to worry about my parents calling me or asking what I'm up to so I take of that beforehand. As you can see, while being a full time student and part-time worker in the rainiest part of the U.S., it's not easy to trip all that often.
I always feel like my life is split into sections between trips. My life is significantly different between each trip.
