The most likely culprit is the freezer, try running a fan over your product for a few hours. The spice should come right out. I tried freeze precip once and it didn't work at all, but every other time I just used the normal evap method and things went swimmingly. You could be smoking the deems tonight brah.

Theoretically possible, but probably not likely. My guess is your freezer is not set cold enough. Turn it as cold as it will absolutely go and don't expect crystals for at least a couple of days; three or four would be even better.
Also, try to minimize the number of times you open/close the freezer door and in general don't disturb your naphtha jar(s). :)
 
personally on foil as i can get it all in real quick before i start tripping, but bong head mates do it on the top of a bong
 
^Yep- bong. Never fails. Mix it with a nice smooth herb like mullein (or weed) and rip it down. If you have plenty of DMT it won't matter too much if a bit gets pulled thru.

Well, in the spirit of HR, don't do it until you have your scales. :) But if you have to, just test a TINY amount and guage your reaction (by tiny, I mean like match-head size). After that, you'll be able to guage, to an extent, whats a good dose for you. I rarekly weigh DMT because I've played with it enough times to know; but I certainly weighed it in the beggining of my daze. Can't you wait?

Swilow gave you a little HR advice, however, I always say that you cant pack too much DMT into a pipe. If you were to put half a gram (bit excessive, maybe like 200mg) into a pipe your body would only let you smoke as much as you could, the remaining DMT would simply remain in the pipe until the next smoke session came along. ;) I find that the perfect amount (if you can weigh it) is 100 mg. This will allow ~3 people to smoke off the pipe without having to pack more in.

Also I really advocate the use of the "machine" which Cosmic Charlie posted a link to above <3
 
IME dmt smokes the best when mixed with weed (or some other herb), if you're using something other than a vaporizer or a "machine".
I just feel like it burns more evenly and at a lower temperature and I always get much more mileage out of my dmt when it's mixed with something compared to smoking it straight up.
I've gotten my best dmt rips out of a chillum that had 3-4 brass screens inside it, and the dmt had been mixed with weed. I like chillums because you can just heat the glass and never touch the flame to the dmt. So if you don't want to put in the time/effort to make a machine, just buy a chillum and fill it with 3-4 screens.
 
Cut the bottom half of a beer can. Then cut the top half of a plastic bottle, and tape them together. Put the spice in, put the pipe on a stove and turn it on. There can't be a better way.
 
for me a self-built pipe built out of a test tube has worked extremely well.

Probably not the best method if smoking without a sitter... a hot burner going while you are in a different universe doesn't sound like a good idea to me

When the stove is hot enough you can switch it off.

Anyway, it works with a lighter too.

Try it. It's really fun. You'll get all the spice you need in your lungs with one hit.

I would say it's either the freezer being not cold enough, or your solvent is crap. I have noticed huge differences in different naphta-based solvents. In some I get almost no precipitation at all. Try another solvent until you find one that works.
 
man fuck i have dreams where i extract dmt... i havnt even done it in a while and i dream theres jiant white rocks of the stuff in trays.

Did you evaporate your naphtha down some first? If your freezer can't get super cold then you need to get rid of some of the naphtha first to make it easier to precipitate.
 
Do more crystals form after the naptha has fully evaporated? (Non-freezer)

My naptha is evaporating at a steady rate, and is leaving behind something (does not look crystallized)..
