I've witnessed this happen to someone during a 4-aco-DMT trip as well. Mind you, we had taken the 4-aco-DMT about 5 hours into a 2C-E trip. But he seemed quite annoyed by it, we weren't drinking a whole lot of water or anything, and he had to get up and piss like every 5or 10 minutes. Didn't happen to me though. That guy was a severe alcoholic as well, just thought I would mention that.
 
Same thing happened to me on my last trip with this stuff. Had to piss all the time. No other substances in my system.
 
on my own experience, with mushrooms only piss two times at most, but with 4-aco is much more accute, as I say before, every 5 minutes for 1 hour or so...
 
tried it yesterday with a couple of friends and one of them was a virgin in the field of psychedelics. me and a friend took 25mg (high i know, but we're generally hardheads) my girlfriend did 20 and the three others each took 15.
it was absolutely clean with an incredible lack of bodyload. it came on super fast and was a rocked-ride of joy! at 25mg it was similar to a sub-breakthrough-dose of smoked dmt , only that it was stretched to 2h. incredibly visual and incredible euphoric. we laughed our asses off for 2h and were down again, each had a blast.
the girlfriend of my mate, who was the psychedelic virgin before even attempted some laughing gas and a bowl of dmt !

in short: 4-aco-dmt is fantastic!
i'm blown away at how beautiful this wonderful substance is!
i'd say it was dmt-y but in an mdma-y way :D
...there was also some sort of religious ecstacy during the experience, inluding tryptamine-shivers.
it instantly was my DOC and i've tried quite some (even DOI, never DOC sadly...), best tryptamine experience ever, except -huasca.

edit: my face hurts a bit today, because of the excessive laughing yesterday =D

Will anyone elaborate on why 4-AcO-DMT may degrade into 4-HO-DMT after time and possibly improper storage> i've had some at room temperature for 8 months or more. I'm not saddened by loss of potency as I'm sure it still works just wondering how and why it degrades?
 
is it only me, or is it very likely that quite some people in this thread received bunk-stuff?
i can't imagine taking doses as high as 100mg.
25mg was plenty and i suspect it gets overwhelming around 40mg, still some people are saying they won't even get visuals of much higher doses!?

Water can attack the carbonyl of the acetoxy group.
 
Had a strange thing happen to me on my last trip. Had a kind of "splitting" feeling. It's tough to explain but I'll do mah best :D

Most tryptamine psyconauts know of the rushes that occur in the back of your next/base of your skull. For me it's usually every 5 minutes or so and only when I'm relaxed (ie meditating or [what I was doing on this occasion] listening to music in the dark in my bed). When I peaked this rushing sensation when from once in awhile to maybe once a minute. I really don't mind the feeling, I should say. But what happened next gave me a bad jolt. The rushes started getting more and more frequent and eventually they coalesced into one continuous head/neck rush that was insanely intense. It felt like, if I'd let it, it would've split the back of my head (but not in a painful way...this is the "tough-to-explain" part).

I kind of wish I had remained seated and entranced just to see what happened but in my delicate state of mind at the time I somehow pieced together the idea that I might have had a small seizure. thinking about it now I know exactly how I came to that idea (head rushes felt similar to Brain Zaps [but not the same] and I'd read on wiki that brain zaps can be mini-seizures or precursors to).

I'd like to believe I was about to be projected into ego-loss but I can't imagine only 22mg putting me into that state.

Finding out more and more about this chemical every time :D Loving this. Even that trip which was, for the most part, unpleasant and confusing, was a learning experience and I'm glad I had it.

This happens to me on most psychedelics but i write it off as paranoia (or as i jokingly refer to it in my head, pee-ranoia). Its unfortunate because i live above a sheriff and my bathroom is right above his bedroom, so when im fucked up i am somewhat nervous about going to the bathroom. 4acodmt seems to give me a decent amount of paranoia (as does mushrooms) compared to acid or others, so i havent been able to dose my stash as much as i might have liked do to excessive pissing.

PS i lived here for a long time and was always cool with it and even did nitrous all the time (which in hindsite im sure he could hear) but when i quit xanax i noticed them didnt seem to like running in to me outside, and realized i should take there feelings into consideration
 
A few weeks ago I took 50mg orally, and the Lady around 35mg. For some reason or another I seem to always need fairly strong doses of psychedelics to achieve intense visuals/reality loss. Like 1/4 cubensis is a moderate dose for me. I was at first disappointed to note very little in the way of visual phenomenon...but an extreme alteration of reality. Tactile and Auditory hallucinations were intense, as well as extreme euphoria..my whole face was sore the following day from laughing so much. Even when cramps and nausea hit, it didn't bother me because every physical sensation felt so strangely pleasant, even those that would generally be considered "sicky" or "painful". Conversely the Lady experienced intense morphing of faces, fractaling, parts of the environment became almost unrecognizable to her. Duration was approx 2 hours, and then swift comedown to a warm and affectionate glow and emotional vulnerability for the next few hours. Not quite what I expected, but I would definitely do it again, though maybe next time with some cannabis or other substance to jump start the effects without such a strong dosage. (or maybe just pop 70mg?)
I've researched LSD, DXM, Psilocin, 2c-e, mdma, 2c-i and one experience in which I was given Bromo Dragonfly under the pretense that it was lsd (that nightmare almost killed me)
I would put the 4-aco-dmt as number one for Euphoria and psychotherapeutic effect, 2c-e gave me the best visuals, but DXM is my regular pal for exploring strange new worlds and getting lost in the Dextroverse.

After reading some more here, I'm considering either plugging or going IM with it. As I tend to need such high doses to acquire an intense experience that the body load becomes uncomfortable (or the expense unmanageable) maybe changing the route of administration would do me good. I'll go ahead and look around, but anybody plug this? I'm not afraid of injections, but hate the idea of needling anything using a fucking cotton ball or other such bullshit. It helps, but it sure as hell isn't sterile. Does anyone know if a whatman filter would allow the drug to pass through?
 
Does anyone have some 4acodmt from last summer, like maybe 6 to 9 months old? Is it still potent now?

ie...Fumerate stored in airtight dark dry storage, cool but not refrigerated.
 
I've had a few doses at room temperature for about a year now, they were even with me in a hot tent for 5 days, and back and forth to the cabin with me with no real noticeable loss in potency or quality of experience. I go back to them every so often and the experience is reliably potent by what I expect them to be per weight.
 
So I've just noticed that my 4-aco-dmt stored in solution is turning black...I've been storing it in the dark at room temperature unfortunately because I don't want curious roommates finding it in the fridge.

It's in a 2mg/mL solution with 80 proof vodka, I'm assuming this darkening is degradation, is it still safe to consume?
 
I'm very interested in this stuff.
My online dealer requires a statement of intent, letting him know what it's going to be used for (human consumption, broadening scientific knowledge or other bullshit, etc. are not allowed). I've bought 2c-i from the same dealer in the past and my statement was that it would be used to test a home made marquis reagent.

Are there any actual known uses for 4-aco-dmt besides human consumption?

This tends to happen with tryptamines when stored in solution. Who knows if it's safe to consume.
 
^^ Just tell him that you're going to test its chemical and physical properties like melting point, solubility in different solvents and so on. :)
 
Do other people have the experience of large doses causing them to sort of 'break through.' I don't have any n,n-DMT experiences to relate it to, but above 25mg oral of 4-AcO-DMT I sit back and close my eyes when I'm peaking and the visuals are a completely new dimension, and it has the distinct feeling that I'm in a different place. I can open my eyes if I try to and see reality, but when I close them I'm in a different world that is inhabited by other beings. This goes on for probably an hour and a half to two hours (of laying down with my eyes closed), and the trip is very diminished when I come out, slowly fading after this and much shorter, when compared to lower doses where this doesn't happen. I had no idea I would be able to achieve that with oral dosing of this chemical, and I am interested to try n,n-DMT now.
