I'm really interested about this drug, of this "other-worldly experience" I'm hearing about and never tried it but it seems so fascinating. The thing is, I don't know anyone who has even TRIED acid, or if anyone knows a dealer who may sell it. And if I ask some friends if they want to try it with me, I'm not too sure they will say yes. So, this is a bit of a dilemma for me, unless LSD is fun when doing it oneself, but I usually like to be around people when doing drugs. And plus, it would be my first time, so I don't think I would know ways on how to maximize my enjoyment. And also, if I do obtain it, is there any way to find out if it really is acid and not a different chemical claiming to be acid? I only smoke weed and drop so I want to take it to the next level.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

A solo trip can be nice, but can also be strange, confused, and paranoid. It's good to have, at the very least, someone who you trust very much to be a sitter. It's also good to be tripping with an experienced tripper but that sounds like it is out of the question for you.

As for obtaining LSD, don't expect to do so through the usual black-market channels, and if you do, your chance of getting ripped off or sold bunk shit will be the highest. Read a bit through this thread and you will get an idea of where people are getting things from.

As far as "really acid", well, most "acid" that is sold today is either LSD or nothing, but that doesn't deter people from putting one or another of a very select few other chemicals. IF we're talking blotter, you should worry if the paper is excessively large or thick, and if it has a noticeably bitter taste. Blotters with designs on them may be less likely to be non-LSD.

It doesn't have anything to do with "enlightenment" vs recreational use... it has to do with the fact that LSD especially, and other psychedelics, will start to aggravate your schizophrenia and could easily mess you up permanently. The only reason people are telling you not to trip is because of that.

But now that you mentioned it, what do you guys think about tripping on acid solely for recreation? I try not to pass judgement, but I find it hard to accept or believe that LSD doesn't seem to catalyze much in some people. Could it be that these people aren't looking for enlightenment or anything remotely like that deep in their hearts? I think people who are more or less oblivious to the distinction or broader potential may be more easily confronted with it, or they may not be at all. There was this agitating Dutch topic elsewhere about this debate. Some people who have had ++++ experiences and what not can be presumptuous towards those who seek mere recreation, and of course some recreational users can have a similar attitude the other way around. Personally and first of all I would say that as far as I'm concerned anyone can take any substance they like for whatever reason they like. The only thing I'm interested in here is the possibility that one side or both can be deluding themselves if not the other. At the very least I consider it a possibility that recreational users can suddenly get a switch flipped, unintentionally getting some extent of enlightenment. Whether this enlightenment bears deeper meaning (or not, like some rec users say) seems like a much more complicated debate. I think it's hard to force recreational meaning on to someone, but learning hard lessons while tripping is much more probable...

^^ I use psychedelics purely for recreation more often than I used to... in fact most of my trips at this point are for recreation. I don't pass judgement on those who want to trip for recreation, although I do personally believe that it's a shame if you don't even consider that they could be more than that. I only trip for recreation because I enjoy drugs and I've tripped a lot in my lifetime, and psychedelics have become my favorite kind of drugs. When I began tripping and for years after that, I tripped mainly for exploratory purposes, although it was always partially recreational.

I don't find LSD to be recreational. Which isn't to say that I haven't enjoyed the majority of my psychedelic experiences. There is certainly euphoria, but it is not the kind of euphoria that you get off, for example, opiates. A nice big shot of dope will give you the sense of "God's in his heaven, all's right with the world", but God remains in heaven ... have a great trip on acid, and you are in heaven, and you are heaven, and you are one with God. That's serious business, not "fun", even if it may be euphoric. Now as far as taking acid to "get fucked up", you'll certainly get fucked up ... seeing visuals, having strange thought processes, and if you want do to this just for the lulz, whatever floats your boat, but don't be surprised if the more introspective and intense parts of the experience come up to bite you in your ass. Personally I don't get how people can dose up on LSD just to "get fucked up", but that's me. If you do, I don't judge you as a person, but I'm not comfortable with it, and probably won't be comfortable with you as a tripping partner, I have to say. This is not, of course, to say that every trip has to be a life-changing, huge spiritual event in one's life. Of course not. But one's mind should be open to the possibilities, and if it is not, you can be in for some serious trouble.

If you dont respect psychs, they will teach you respect. Many end up learning the hard way. LSD is not something to get fucked up on, since you may find that what you are hiding from comes more present and aware than ever before and you have no choice btu to deal with it.

tripping can be very recreational but I mean sometimes its hard to draw the line between spiritual and recreational and they can overlap in some trips. I mean using LSD at a concert is def recreational in some sense but there is no better feeling than tripping balls at a wonderful music event and that feeling of sheer joy to be alive and feeling the energy of life rush through your body. At the same time, the lights are flashing, everythign is beautiful, you are dancing and feel amazing with the music playing- great euphoria, while also opening up your spiritual side.

Excellent. There can be a balance between recreational and spiritual/self-improvement use, and this is exactly where it's at.

I dunno some people seem perfectly contented with themselves & the world, these peole seem to frequently fail too see what "all the fuss is about" & treat LSD as a pretty things to look at drug.


I'm sure it's only the deficient (in something) who gain significantly out of it.

I'm aware of that, but I personally feel that my schizophrenia has burnt itself out. I haven't taken my Invega in over a week and my symptoms are handleable.

I've never been prone to HPPD, I think in part because I'm on an SSRI.

Timing of dosing with acid

How should I time my dosing so as to minimize tolerence issues. I have 3 trips to see me through about 15 hours?

Just take what you're going to take at once. Acid lasts roughly 12 hours, give or take...Maybe have one at first, and take the rest (only if you feel you need it) about 2 hours at the most after the first dose.

If you know the strength, take as much as you can handle at once.

The first dose will give you a tolerance for 72 hours roughly, so redosing later in the night will provide decreasing marginal returns.

Ketamine hasn't exacerbated my schizophrenia. Dunno if LSD would or not, but I haven't taken my Invega in a week and am not hearing voices, so if need be, I can just start taking my Invega again.

As others have said, the best way to avoid tolerance is to take it all at once, since LSD (and all psychedelics) cause rapid tolerance buildup. However, if you're worried about it coming on too intensely, you can stagger your hits by maybe a half hour each to come up more smoothly. Perhaps take the first, then a half hour later take the second, then a half hour later take the third. or something like that. I wouldn't take any more than an hour after the first if you want to maximize effectiveness.

But if you're not concerned about too much intensity, then definitely just take them all at once.
