Clonazapam after XANAX the most powerfull anxiolitic (out of the most widly used, anyway), even though it
s only FDA approved for Epilepsy and its main action is a muscle relaxant. It has a hell of a long half-life with Xanax's potency, but the anxiolitic properties are quickly diminished with regular use. It is not classed as having Hypnotic effects but usually when you start to take the drug, it will make u very drowsy which affects also diminsh quickly after regular use. Been on Rivies for years now and rx'd 8mg prn and the only reason I take them is cause if I dont it's hell. Although I have found it to not effect some people as bad as others, but we all have different metabolic systems (gramma..?) Worse than alcohol wd's and H wd's 10 fold. IMO of course..

Well the pharmacophore (thienodiazepine) (and hence it's analogues) are scheduled (unfortunately :( ) here.

Both Risperidone or Quetiapine will definitely kill a trip. It's usually what's given (well, it's what's taught and also depends on the doctor themselves) when one presents in ED with amphetamine-induced psychoses. These two (imo) are the best anti-psychotics as the particular neurotransmitters are wide-range enough (D1, D2, D3, D4, also 5-HT2A antagonist) but more specifically they both target specific areas of the brain drugs like amphetamines also interfere with (specifically the VTA>NA pathway). They're not the only ones (and one could argue typical v. atypical A/P for days but).

IMO though, if a another drug must be taken to abort a trip, definitely choose benzos over anti-psychotics! The possibility of negative symptoms caused by them outweigh any reason for use.
 
I hear people talking about taking benzos along with/at same time as stimulants. This seems kinda counter-productive to me. Can anyone chime in on the benefit/effects are when taken together?

Personally, I save mine for the comedown.
 
Does the downer take away from the upper though?

If anything I'd want to take it to calm me given any excessive vasoconstricion. I'm extremely wary of this though. Not to imply xanax is a vasodilator though, just helps slow things down some.

I was actually just reading how mixing vasocontrictors and vasodilators can be really dangerous.

Correct. It can be fatal trying to mix beta blockers, atenolol for eg, and meth in an attempt to help calm the person down.

Er's usually control the situation with, for eg again, a benzo normally being valium along with anti-psychotics as first line treatments.
 
EDIT: Sorry guys, scratch this post. In my situation I can't really be posting stuff like this even though I am concerned about myself atm. Legal Reasons.

I'm legally prescribed benzos anyway, xanax that is. But I did delete my post here.

I just wonder what etizolam would be like.

and no, I don't have anything in my possession at all. my friend is ordering 250mg and I might try some from him if i can

Etiz is great! Id say its arguably the best benzo ive used, it like a clearer, less messy, euphoric xanax with the length of valium. I used if after meth once or twice also and it was very nice. I only had a small amount a few months ago but I had a pretty decent xanax tolerance at that time and I needed less Etiz on a mg to mg ratio than xanax. Id love more but im too scared to import stuff even if it is legal or grey area stuff :/
 
Personally I wasn't the most impressed with etizolam, for sleeping purposes anyway. Had 1mg with a handful of half litre cans of Stella and still ended up having to down a few valiums on top to catch some respite. I know 1mg isn't the highest dose but 1mg of clonaz or alpraz with that much beer would of had me in a sleepier state than the etiz did I reckon.
 
Yeah that's how I found Lorazepam vs alprazolam, 1-2mg of xanax does knock me around... 2mg of lorazepam... need like 2 tablets (4mg) to even feel it and I'm still up an walking around, lol.

so i'm eager to compare alprazolam to etizolam

Sorry guys. Whoa I was a bit fucked there. I hope that is understandable.

Never fear harm reduction was present in the form of a girl next to me in my bed who knew what I was up to :)

Someone I know shot up 7mg lorazepam (more like 5mg after losses) using an ethanol extraction with vodka. It's interesting watching him though, he says there was no rush but he can definitely feel the effects although it took 5-10 minutes.

Screw that hey! Best keep the benzos for oral/sublingual use. I reckon he's crazy but he's a needle freak so whatever, heh.


Yeah I want to try the more obscure benzos (& Derivatives) such as etizolam, pyrazolam, phenazepam flubromazepam, etc. When I can. I'm starting with Etizolam and going from there.
 
I'm also guilty of using the methy+xany combo. As Captain B says, it allows you to feel the euphoria and tweak from meth then the xanax stops the anxiety :) IME xanax doesn't really do anything for the vasoconstriction though
