Sydney- *Sublime@HOME any friday...part two*

yeah i was there for a couple of hours last night when the cops raided.. never seen so many cops in once spot in my life.. would have been close to 30-40 cops and 4-5 dogs, plus a film crew follwing them around through the place. couldn't walk 10 meters without almost tripping over one of the damn dogs. Saw them get a couple of pple.. a line of cops walked into the beatfix and almost immeditaly the dog headed straight for the back corner where it sat next to some guy and wouldn't move. the cops took him out.. don't know if he had anything on him cause the guy looked pretty calm and didn't fight at all when they walked him out. was kinda weird though how the dog headed straight for him as soon as it entered the room.
 
Yeah I was there too. Havent been there is ages thought it would be a good night untill all the cops came. Running up and down with the lights and cameras. Two dogs kept coming around and sniffing everyone - running the night for all involved. To top it off the party was dead and the cops kept coming in, up and down. What a waste of time and money.
 
If only HOME would give your money back for nights like that. So glad I went last week. Nothing like a few curious dogs to ruin the mood even if you're going straight

That was the worst subbies Ive ever fucken been to. That operation was over the top. A cop even asked me if I had ID...umm yeah :)

I've seen dogs in Subbies heaps of times, but that was fucken ridiculous. There were about 15 cop cars parked out the front when I left at 2:30am. I've never left Sublime so early, that was just shit.

To make matters worse, I had a VIP ticket, but forgot about the upstairs dress code and wore some Trackies. They wouldn't let me in and I had to line up and pay with the rest of the ruffians ;)
 
YAY! Subbies is redeeming itself. I think 1st 300 in get $15 entry. Not that it matters seeing i get a free ticket...ill have to remember to wear jeans!

Anyone going, or are ya's all turned off after last week?
 
What are the chances that they'll raid it again. After that night I am sure people are still shaken up.
 
i went that night too! i got there half way through it! i havent been to subs for ages n now im fukn turned off for sure!! never again ay!! sorry subs
 
what happened that you didnt like ?
we had trouble getting in, the boss wouldnt let our mate in because apparantly he didnt like his hair cut, too short on the sides... with a hat on , he got in eventually....
 
I'm going to Sydney in May, and will probaby visit Sublime...no idea what to expect though!

But yeah, just be ready for Australia's BEST club-night...an amazing club, with great music, variety and a lot of great people (40% of people there are fuckwits though). Too tough to talk friendly shit to ya...I hate tough cunts.

I could be wrong, but I think he was reffering to the night it got raided.

its probably way too late to see if anyones going tonight...(anyone hitting it up?) i'll be there for a few hours, but I start my new job tommorow.

^the great thing is, subbies is casual night!!!

You get rejected for leather/nice shoes and collared, button up shirts are frowned upon...I've seen LOTS of people get rejected for being too dressed up, which is great if you ask me...

Phat pants are welcomed with open arms...don't try get in the VIP door though...i made that mistake a little while ago and had to line up downstairs and pay.
 
I wouldn't say subs is the best club in Sydney. =P It is a pretty good night out though [even though I'll invariably spend my nights \getting some air' on the wharf outside.

I'd like to get back there sometime soon though.
 
subbies is all about the wanders, u leave your mates, go find someone on the terrace and chat the nite away, walk around the harbour, go in dance a bit and repeat.
 
^so true...my friends always claim I 'ditched' them...but I'd go to Subbies alone and still have a great time. Outside on the harbour is nice, excpet for all the dealers that can hassle you sometimes. I'm that guy at Subbies who always asks people if they are Bluelighters, but they never are.

more dogs again on the weekend...wasn't as extreme as last time though.
 
did anyone go to Subbie last nite (12/03/04)
there were some DJs that i never heard of but damn they were good, made me dance all nite, Pee Wee finished the nite so well, my legs hurt now
