[Support PD] If you know NBOMe drugs, where did you first learn about them?

I learned about the NBOMe's while researching LSD imitations in a personal quest to become more knowledgeable in dealing with LSD vendors. In particular, just recently, there was a vendor (FF) on SR that was passing off 25i as LSD as part of a larger scam, trying to build rep and get people to order a lot of cheap sheets he was claiming to be LSD. Fortunately, I didn't fall for his BS, but a few did. And eventually it came out that those who actually did receive anything only received 25i, and some were fooled by it. Looking around on SR, I found reputable vendors selling 25i and it comes highly recommended. But of course, it should never be misrepresented as LSD. Obviously, it doesn't have the same safety profile LSD has, and it's 10x cheaper as well. Anyone buying LSD and getting 25i is probably not going to die from it, but they're definitely getting ripped off.

I picked some up to play with. I want to be familiar with the experience to be prepared to properly distinguish it from legitimate LSD.

A good friend of mine told me about the NBOMe series. Upon learning about it I decided to order some myself, long story short I made ~90 tabs of ~1mg doses, half of them were 25i half were 25c.

The buccal method is a really gentle trip, there is a really clear headspace and pretty much everyone gets the 'perma-grin' for the come-up. I have about 11 tabs left and NOBODY had a bad trip off of these tabs. 75+ hits and not a single bad trip, nobody had more than 2 hits at once though. A few people who had never even tripped before took 1 tab and had a great time. The tabs were made by mixing the HCl powder into an ethyl alcohol solution and volumetric measurement was used to dose each tab (a small piece of watercolor paper).

The vaporization method is the opposite of gentle, typically a good hit of ~.5 mgs 25i vaporized will send someone into a STRONG +++ (or level 4 for the people who use the level 1-5 scale) within 5 minutes. For the inexperienced tripper, or even a pretty damn experienced one, this is VERY INTENSE! Everyone who has done it has said that it's more visual than LSD is for them. It is very easy to trip way harder than you bargained for so please be very very careful.

Next time I do either 25i or 25c i'm doing at LEAST 2 tabs though

Tried 25I a few months back, it was AMAZING, just what ever you folks do DOSAGE is key in keeping you and others in good health and also to keep chems like these open for research. I really should do a report on my experience.

I can attest to this being an extremely risky drug, it put a friend of mine comatose in the hospital with near fatal serotonin syndrome simply because he discontinued an ssri 2 weeks prior. Generation RX is quickly becoming Generation RC and it's much more dangerous in my opinion. All that being said I'm certainly not going to tell anyone to take or not to take a particular substance but I would certainly advise to approach this one with an excessive amount of caution, this is a VERY POTENT AGONIST

What does it stand for? I sure won't touch upon any of these until information about them in all aspects is disclosed.

25-X-NBOMe stands for 2CX + N-benzyl-2-methoxybenzene, where X = a halide (I-, Br-, Cl-). I'm looking forward to this.

To elaborate, the name symbolises

25 = 2,5-dimethoxy
X = para substituent like iodine
NBOMe = N-Benzyl-O-Methoxy

It's not very good scientific nomenclature but amongst those who understand what it means, it's plenty descriptive enough and separates better from 2C-X than other names might.

Not enough Mescaline content to be active Illuminatus. Weighed out nigh on a kilo cut from half a dozen cuttings but given that they were all fairly young cuttings less than 12" tall and less than a coupla inches across at best I don't think they'd matured enough to be all that productive. Was enough to get me to the point where I was sure a full on trip was just minutes away without going any further. Never had Mescaline and have wanted to try it ever since I first read The Doors Of Perception in my late teens so was doubly disappointing that I also managed to miss out on the chance at NBOMe-Mesc as the nearest equivalent available at the time. The cuttings I had left from the original 6 plants are still going BTW, and finally seem to be doing some growing at long last so I live in hope I'll have a better chance of something interesting in time. Maybe next year if I'm lucky at this rate.

I was first sent a sample of Mescal-NBOMe in 2009 from a vendor during the substituted cathinone craze. Ive been into All the PEA's for many years but found the incredible low dosing very interesting from the NBOMe's. I Have investigated many that have been in the background, and my cat has sampled many of the now common ones like 25c, 25D & 25i. I have some 25B - nbome coming in a week, im particularily interested in this one as being a major fan of 2C-b and the dosing is similar to those of LSD. My cat will investigate the addition of various sugars to increase sublingual absorbtion, and as this and most NBOMe's it is currently legal in the UK - this will not last as the government will realise the capatalist equation involved oin these wonderfull compounds and creare "horror" stories - and thus they will be media/publically sensationalised and ultimately banned. Some of them apparently feel similar to thier 2c-x equivilants and my cat recently stumbled accross 25T7-NBOMe - she found this incredible. 2C-t-7 my cat found to be incomplete in the past - but the "improved" version seems in-tact. I need to learn more around the chemistry of halogenated sulphides, before my cat researches more obscure 25t -x's......

Thanks for the contribution though. 25T7-NBOMe? It would be worth making a post about it discussing the effects, dosage etc.

I first learned about nbome after doing 2ce and getting even more fascinated with rc's than i had been. (i had already looked through pihkal and tihkal). I heard about them somewhere on the internet (possibly here on bluelight) I have since ingested 25i nbome and 25i nbmd both ordered online (came in tabs).
25i nbome is great but strange. I think it has a future as something that might perhaps even outlast its ban like 2cb did though. 25i Nbmd is probably Minimally active based on my one experience.

Be careful though nbome sure plays some strange dose response curve games!

I found a vendor that was offering nbome 2cc.I researched it here on this site.At the time there was very little out about it and was out was on this site.Go Bluelight!
So far NBOMe-2CC is the only one I've trialed.An interesting compound for sure.I've trialed it up to 800UGs Not very visual but, has a nice body high to it t.Seems like it would be pretty friendly in a social situation.Say camping or at a party....

First time I heard of the NBOMes its because I was concerned about getting sold fake lucy and was googling to see if what I had gotten was, indeed, acid. Some mindless browsing on 420chan eventually led to an innate desire to try them so I went and asked an old friend who had hooked me up with the guy who I suspected of selling me the fake tabs, only for him to tell me I had already tried it, and that the fake tabs were in fact some sort of NBOMe (2C-?, he just knew it was a derivative of a 2C). He thought I knew this...I plan to try it again in the future, possibly in a month or so once I'm ready again.

I think it's the most exciting area of psychedelics at the moment. In my opinion, they seem to combine all the benefits of the drugs they are derived from (visuals, good mood, sociability) with none of the downsides (body load, negative mental effects). And because they are analogous to substances which have some history of use and research, we can be a tiny bit more confident about their potential long term safety profile (although you never know and in order to experiment with new compounds, you need to take some measure of educated risk).

Also the fact that they aren't orally active makes it harder to pass them off as fake acid. I consider that to be a good thing.

It seems that this area opens up all sorts of avenues to research. I'm no expert in chemistry so correct me if I'm wrong, the n-benzyl can be tacked onto most compounds in P/TiHKAL and that ring can be substituted in as may ways as the phenethylamine and triptamine rings can be. This opens up the potential for thousands of new compounds to be researched, a good deal of which could be active.
