I have the opportunity to either rail or sublingually take 1mg suboxone. I know there's more bioavailability if you rail it but I heard that since it's tamper proof you have to do it in small doses otherwise it'll gel-up..is there any truth to this?

^Nope. It is essentially corn starch and other binders that you are snorting with a tiny amount of bupe. The reason some people say to snort less at a time is that it is somewhat wasteful to do huge amounts at once as some drips down the throat. 1mg can be done in one or two gos though.

I vote nasal.

Hi yall,

I have a concern about how I should approach getting subs with my doctor.

I asked my GP to refer me to a sub prescribing psychiatrist. I see him beginning of next week.

Over the past 2 years or so I've had a 200-300mg OC habit daily. It was nuts so over the past 2-3 weeks, I acquired a bunch of 8mg Subs and slowly tapering down.

I currently take 2mg sublingually in the mornings. I am aware this is still a very large dose. 2 mg is good to hold me for 24-36 hrs. I have tried 1mg but on that dosage WD is still apparent (with me the worst part being the extreme anxiety and malaise; a feeling of impending dread and that I'm not gonna make it)

I am set to run out soon tho and I know the best thing for me is to get a prescription and taper down even more.

When I see my new psychiatrist, should I tell him 100% the truth? That I am admitting that I need help, and taken proactive steps toward it? That I have been acquiring subs illicitly and they have been working out super well, and that the best thing for me IMHO is to get my own script?

While 100% honestly is the best policy, telling em I've been self-medicating is probably counter to them treating me. Alright it is straight up lol.

I mean it's obvious I'm there to get help, hop on the sub train. I may be overthinking this! Should I just leave that part out?

(I also don't want the doctor to think "this person obviously has some experience and tapered by himself" so he's drug seeking )

whew if you got to the bottom, thx for readin my novel. any help would be greatly appreciated!

It is best to find a doctor who doesn't do drug tests. Then, go without bupe for the appointment so you are in withdrawal. This is what I would do. Being honest is great - but it is about what you are like without medicine/opiates.

Thanks bro good idea. I will be in WD at that time since I'ma run out soon.

I also know that I was taking opiates to deal with underlying anxiety disorders- GAD and social anxiety.

Do doctor's commonly prescribe a benzo alongside subs?

Just tell your doc or whoever it is your goin to see (I didn't know psych's could Rx bupe). That's the same thing I did and just told my doc straight up..he didn't even blink an eye

It's for a good cause and he'd rather profit off you than some drug dealer, if your doc has a problem with it then see a new doc

I have been having bad anxiety since the first time I've taken suboxone. Higher doses make it worse. Even at 2-4mg I still have anxiety and any less I have withdrawal symptoms. Because of bad headaches I was switched to the naloxone free generic bupe. Minus the headaches, it's still the same.

I'm on the remeron and effexor combination (aka california rocket fuel). I've been sweating and feeling high strung. I find marijuana makes it tolerable but the doctor said I'd have to quit. I'm on month 3 which should have been plenty enough time for me to be "adjusted to the medicine."

I've heard plenty of people that don't experience unpleasant symptoms when on antidepressants and suboxone. I felt fine before when I took my preferred opiate along with my antidepressants.

I'm not sure what to do. The doctor is at a loss, but then again he is mainly a suboxone doctor. Any insight would help me greatly.

^^^ your on a bunch of different meds so its hard to say.... I would try to experiment and find the right combo and meds... work with your dr..

Bupe lowers my depression and anxiety... as far as headaches alot of people get headaches from sub... ususally from taking too much.. I spit out my remaining saliva after about 5 mins of sublingual absorption with the strips..

I just quit lexapro .. it felt like that and bupe had a really nice synergistic effect..

Possibly although I am aware some doctors refuse to do so. I know that some doctors that do so, but you can call the doctor's office/clinic ahead of time to learn about if they will or not.

Taking Oxy after Subutex not Suboxone.

I took 8mg of Subutex this morning about 6am and it's now 2pm and I still feel shitty so I took 7 30mg Oxycodone's and more normal Oxycodone Dosage is normally 3-4 30mg at a time. Do you think it is enough to breakthru the Subutex I took 8hr's ago?? I still feel like shit so I'm assuming I don't have enough Subutex. Please help me out on this and don't close it on me. I know Subutex doesn't have Naloxeone in it and that helps block your opiate receptors but Subutex doesn't have it in it.

Suboxone is a controlled substance because it contains buprenorphine, which can be a target for people who abuse prescription medicine or street drugs.

How should i dispose of unused suboxone film?
-Dispose of unopened suboxone flim as son as you no longer need them

1. Remove the flim from its foil pouch.

2. Drop the suboxone film into the toilet.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each film.

Flush the toilet after all unneeded films have been put into the toilet.

Oh .... Thanks for the info

Naloxone wears off before buprenorphine, so it doesn't matter if you used subutex or suboxone.

It's going to take a bit of time to get all of your energy back most likely. It will come gradually though, just try to force yourself to do stuff, it really helps.

thanks 2 both of you guys, thats hope, isnt 35 days kinda long? is 2 months an average when your mind goes back to normal? or whats the average span of time?

It's hard to say man, you'll probably feel much better soon with random bouts of laziness. Seriously though, force yourself to do stuff when you feel this way.

well its been a while since I've posted here, went to a farm of all things for my summer recreation, and decided to once again try and quite suboxone, or at least lower the dosage.

I managed to get down to 2-3 mg a day, and then I used heroin for two days and fucked it all up, yesterday I took 16 mg, today I took 12.
I've decided that I really do want to quit suboxone now, and not just stay on a low dosage and shoot dope every other day. My question is this, I was on 4 mg for three weeks and in the last week of that i went down to 2-3 mg a day, then as I said before I shot .7 grams (or 7 bags) of dope over a two day period. My plan is to now do a real rapid detox, and just hope that I'll be ok. tomorrow I'm going to do 8 mg, the next day 4, then 2, then 1, and then I'm going to try and just drop it like that. I want to know if this is an ok plan, or if it's just going to backfire.

thanks

Hi all,

I switched from mdone(70mg->30mg) to subs (6mg/day) about 12 days ago. I'm trying to taper off completely, and I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea on how long I need to wait to completely wait out methadone withdrawal?

Please really need help been on 8mg suboxone for a year and a half now. Slipped up couple times using a 100mcg/h fentanyl patch which lasted 3 days each time and the sucking the gel out. Then when switching back to my suboxone I waited like 24hrs and took my suboxone. Within 10 minutes I was in the worst hell of my life precipitated withdrawals. I'd never heard of that situation and was really freaked out, it was like a bad trip slash mind fuck. I ended up doing some searching on the web and came across bluelight and got some answers. I rode 4 days of feeling the worst withdrawals ever out. About 3 months later I did the same thing with the patch and when switching back to suboxone I waited 36hours figuring the first time I didn't wait long enough to dose and got the same hell of precipitated withdrawals. I ended up scoring another patch and just sucked the gel out immediately which pulled me out of the withdrawals but I faced the same problem again on my next dose. I rode out the precipitated withdrawals for another 4 days. Well needless to say I lost the last of my suboxone by dropping them off my boat. I only have 2 days to wait til my next script from the doctor but I feel like death and managed to get my hands on five 10mg methadone. I'm gonna take them all in the morning. So finally getting to my point should I expect precipitated withdrawals again? How long should I wait to dose suboxone since its only 1 day use of methadone? Has suboxone changed me somehow , cuz I used to be able to use OC 80s in the morning and then suboxone in the afternoon without any troubles? Any help is appreciated in advance and sorry if I jacked someones thread. I'm kinda new here.
