At some point of tapering. I believe this happened as I have tapered off of buprenorphine very slowly. At some point, I believe my tolerance became completely "reset".

I will notice the difference between not being on it and being on it, but there aren't really "withdrawal" symptoms like acute heroin WD like symptoms. You could compare it to going without dope after using it for 1 or 2 days, but not long enough to get WD's, to the point where you may want more, but it's easy to go do something for a while without feeling really bad, without having goosebumps (piloerection), without having hot/cold flashes, without shivering/shaking, etc.
 
anyone know any resources for finding dr's besides samsha, naabt and suboxone.com? im having a fucked time find a dr that takes a managed care hmo of medicaid.

I've been on the same meds for a while now. Atleast 2 yrs with Adderall and Klonopin. Suboxone was added to that mix about maybe 8 months ago. I take about 1-4mg intranasal over the course of a day, it varies, sometimes I take a second night dose. Anyway, I've been noticing that occasionally I am profusely sweating from my whole head, back of neck/shoulders, back, armpits, face, neck, almost whole body sweats. Every so often it'll happen a little while after I dose my sub, but usually it just occurs while i'm out and seems unrelated to the time i dosed my sub. I'm not sure if perhaps the adderall has changed and is causing me to sweat more but it seems that since I've been on subs i've suffered from hyperhidrosis HOWEVER prior to being on subs I was doing oxycodone and heroin for a while and the w/d's had gotten me used to the sweat however now its kinda excessive and sometimes smells rancid. It's a real pain in the ass to constantly have my outfits soaked and having to change so often. Anyone suffer from same symptoms and does anyone know what to do to perhaps fix this??? I also take hydroxyzine as well now
 
suboxone/dilated pupils

ok so i started subutex after a little binge on oxymorphone ... i switch back to suboxone on tuesday its know early friday morning... tuesday i ended up taking 16mg and still felt horrible..wed i desperatelytryied getting high and wasted alot of money then yesterday took a total of 16 mgs again.... i feel so out of it and like im half sick ..just really out of it hurting and not getting out of sus like i used to.... i do have a huge tolerance so idk if subs just cant hold me anymore.... im just in a huge fog and pupils are dilated and cant see clear... my pupils just zone in and out.... but i dont have the w/d symptoms of diarrhea ,goosebumps witch are usally the worst for me ... i can tell im really dehidated and i have not slept yet and its 5;30am ...i have been sleeping but waking up drench in sweat..but have not slept yet so i dont know if that is still going on.....

could subs not be holding me even at 16mgs?
 
don't bump your own thread. your question is a self serving and not in need of urgent attention. i'm going to merge it into the bupe mega thread.

if you're trying to get on subs then do it, don;t be fuckin round trying to get high, going back and forth between the two otherwise you'll find yourself in a cycle of being like this.

find a suitable dosage and stick to it.
 
im not trying to be rude but its not really that self serving when everyone clams you never need more then 4 mgs and idk why 16 wont hold me anymore... and im sorry when money gets tight i do buys subs to hold me over" yes im a junkie".. i just dont get why im only having half the symptoms of withdrawal and spaced out i also have a temp with my pupils the size of nickles
 
i think you might be mistaking the theory that a lot of people, especially OD posters, believe the optimum dosing is around the 2-6mg mark. a lot of people start on higher doses and taper themselves down to lower doses and find it a more efficient drug in the low dose range.

sure it might take you a lot more and that's fine. as long as you're makinf a conscious effort to stay off the other drugs and live a more stable life then props to you! do it by all means.
 
no well i know they do prescribe up to 32 mgs...even when shooting huge amounts of oxy sub always seemed to work but after binging oxymorphone the subs arnt working and im scared to take more and have it do nothing more and just be in my system longer .. i was resently sniffing 120mgs oxymorphone at once and about 240 a day ..i guess you could say that was to keep well ...i did feel good of it but idk if you could say high if i wasnt nodding out at all... im reading no that if you need more then 30-40 mgs of methadone then sub wont work...i recently tried methadone and was taking oxy in the morning and methadone at night 60 mgs for 2 day then the 3rd day of the methadone i took 120mgs without the oxy and that hardly held me


i know its time to throw in towel on opiates sine i no longer get high.... but i dont even have the strength to pick the towel up
 
well to put it blunt - you're going to have to go through pain at one stage or another if you're wanting to get off the other opiates/oids. it's not going to be a comfortable ride with a large tolerance, but by using a slower taper you can make it more comfortable.

you're going to have to bite your teeth and get through the however many days it takes you to stablilise on a dose of methadone or bupe, whichever you decide.
 
What you read about bupe and methadone is true... Bupe's full agonist effects plateau at the equivalent to about 30mg of methadone and for most they reach this between 2 and 4mg of buprenorphine. Taking more will produce more effects, but not stronger opioid agonist effects so taking more bupe likely will not help.

If you are only trying to use bupe when you can't get full agonists, as long as your tolerance is this high, you're probably going to be hurting while you're on bupe.

I don't really see a way around this.
 
i understand and i appreciate your responses ... i guess i dont have much of a choice and im going to dose more bupe i just pray that it helps me more and and doesn't just block me for a week if i do need to go to done:\
