Man, I just went in one forum and these guys were talking about tar. It brought back a lot of memories for me. I'm in rehab and now I'm really cold right now. The heating is off, and its end of Oct, so that is not helping one bit. I want the damn heating on!

I know, I'll put a dressing gown on. That'll help. Maybe go back to bed. But, I thought I'd join up to this thread, since I'm on 3.6mg of Subutex. Reduced down from 8mg in 0.4mg stages ~ taken a long time to get to this level. Finding getting to 3.2mg hard for some strange reason. Gonna ask my drug worker not to drop me down again for a while until I level off.

Yes, I have this guy who sorts out my script for me. He, leiasons (sp) with the GP / Doctors for me as well. And also is some kind of councillor at the same time giving me someone to talk to about my addiction.

He reads me really well, he also piss tests me so knows when I've been using in the past. Like, one time I used a week or so before seeing him and got piss tested, so I'm guessing it shown up on the test.

He was supposed to drop my script down to 3.2mg last week but it never happened. I'm glad it did not happen either! Because, I would have needed to phone him up and ask him to change it back since I was not ready.

I'm in the UK where most ppl get a drug worker of sorts, perhaps not everyone, but most people I know have someone they see who piss tests them on a regular basis.

does this "drug worker" thing with all the drug tests, etc...have to do with court ordered shit?....or does anyone who decides to join an opiate maintanence plan have to get a "drug worker" and get drug tested by him/her and have them as there "role model" or some shit?

Im very curious, because if this is mandatory for EVERYONE who decides to get on suboxone, then I think its a bit too much. I can see the benefit, but not only would that cost a SHITLOAD of money(even if each "drug worker" had several "clients" like a probation officer), but its also kind of invasive in my opinion.

Please tell me this has to do with the legal system and this is part of your sentencing

I certainly hope it would not be part of some legal sentencing from the way the dude is describing it. Sounds like a good job for an ex-addict though, so long as it didn't interfere with their sobriety.

You are right about the legal thing. Some people get arrested for a crime, and then get put into rehab immediately with a drug worker. But, a drug worker has roughly 20-30 clients btw. And there is this clinic everyone in the city goes to called JS Clinic. It's a drop in centre for addicts wanting rehab. Government run.

As far as I know, that is how it happens, everyone gets a drug worker who visits the JS Clinic. These guys help with reducing you off your script, piss tests, and just social chat. I think its pretty sweet and helps people not fall thru the net of red tape and bureaucracy. Everyone has one here in England though as far as I know. Even those who go to their GP get referred to the JS Clinic here. Tho' in a recent discussion with another ex-user, I heard in Scotland you can go above 100mg/ml whatever of Methadone, whereas here in England, 100 is the maximum dose they prescribe. After that, its up to you to sort your life out.

They spoke of this guy in prison, who was given 30ml of methadone, then bought 3x100ml bottles on the black market, and was using heroin on top just as a maintenance dose. My friend said if he was in a cell with that guy he'd be all like 'This ain't fair, get me out of here!'. Haha. Yeah, at the pharmacy in the mornings I meet all kinds of ppl. We chat together, some homeless guys, some not. All decent people though.

I've been on the same meds for a while now. Atleast 2 yrs with Adderall and Klonopin. Suboxone was added to that mix about maybe 8 months ago. I take about 1-4mg intranasal over the course of a day, it varies, sometimes I take a second night dose. It's a real pain in the ass to constantly have my outfits soaked and having to change so often. Anyone suffer from same symptoms and does anyone know what to do to perhaps fix this??? I also take hydroxyzine as well now

That sounds like a common side effect of adderall......many people report increased sweating while on stimulants, and can also be quite rank.

Aha! I have one 2mg pill, and four 400mcg pills. MCG (Microgram).

0.4mg x 4 = 1.6mg, plus a 2mg pill. I was supposed to get reduced down a 0.4mg pill every two weeks ~ but since I tested positive that stops for a while.

You hardly notice it to be honest. I doubt I could do a full 1mg reduction.

Don't you have the 400mcg pills in the states?
 
we have temgesic which comes in 0.2 and 0.4 mg's

...allthough im pretty sure its not used for opiate maintanence....ever.

only suboxone and subutex(and the generic subutex) are used for opiate maintanence. They are the only formulations of buprenorphine that are legal to prescribe and use as a maintanence drug. Temgesic is purely for chronic and post op pain.

There is also 4mg pills. I used to take 2 x 4mg pills when I started rehab. Just to see if I could handle the dose. Then they moved me onto the 8mg pills. It's cool having this forum to share information, innit?
 
Quick backstory, skip if you must:

So im scripted sub, and only take ~2-4 per dose, and can skip days, and have gone a week feeling pretty ok.

Last weekend, I did some shots o dope, 1 per day, .2mg and was wrecked, and that was all I needed, no sickness needing to get to next shot.

I switch between sub and dope easily, and always can do dope after sub, but I can take sub roughly 15 hours after last shot of H and no withdrawals at all.

yesterday I took
  • 30mg adderall IR over the day (15 @ 9am, 5 @ 5pm, 10 @ 7pm).
  • Followed by 3.5mg klonopin at ~4:00 AM (today)
  • additionally ~2-3mg suboxone at ~ 4:00 AM (today).

I'm going to get some dope right now, splitting a .6, so .3 for me (I've been doing .2 and getting wrecked) and about 20 minutes ago (12:25 PM) took 10mg adderall IR.

I should be good to do the shot of dope correct? I would be doing the shot in roughly 45 minutes, (1:30 PM).

Sorry for the newb remark, but my ride will be here soon, so a quick answer is nice, although I know this statement doesn't matter :)
