Bupe Suboxone/Buprenorphine FAQ & Megathread v2; 2010

i am going in for an appointment to get suboxone, soon, hopefully. i'm wondering if, when i'm tested, i test positive for suboxone if they'll deny me treatment. My opiate intake is out of control and i'm working hard to stop, which basically entails buying subs at an outrageous markup and then not even knowing if they'll be around. Its been 9 days since i've had anything in my system but subs and a small amount of xanax, and i haven't had any cravings to speak of. So, do i have to stop the subs, start the O Cs again and hit W/D before my appointment? That seems really counter productive, not to mention risky as far as relapse. i know this isn't a response to anything, but i don't have time to worry about where to put this, i'm sure you all understand. Sorry, and thanks for any help....

sry i was in too much excruciating pain to even think about taking a picture of it. But im not lying about the size. That was the whole problem, I had gotten so backed up/clogged up that it had been building up poop all throughout my lower intestine. Like I said earlier, even my doctor said he hadnt seen a fecal mass that large, ever.
I really dont see any benefit for me to lie about this. Im not proud of having to give birth to the largest piece of shit I have ever seen.
 
^ i believe it, i used to have to break up my shits with a stick before i would flush it so it wouldn't plug the shitter lol. ahh, those were the days..giving birth to a football out of my ass and bleeding all over the place :| damn that shit used to hurt.. glad it doesn't happen much anymore.

i get your joke and its funny...but im literally not able to laugh about it cuz it brought me so much pain that any thought of it makes me cringe.....i also cant laugh because im still in horrible pain from my lower spine injury.
Im not gonna lie, im crying right now as I post this...im in soooo much pain. Just no doctors will give me painkillers and trping posts sometimes helps distract me from the pain a little.
But its still pathetic, im worse than my grandmother...shes 89 and could beat me in a race right now. Actually she would pronbably be finished before I was even able to stand up. GOD IT HURTS!!!!!!!

and im not gonna take any suboxone or buy and pills or dope off the street. im trying to be strong its just so hard. i want opiates sooooooo bad right now, but not cuz of an addiction, its just the pain. I wanna die
 
James, I've had chronic pain for almost 5 years and have been managing it almost exclusively without opioids for over a year so if you would like some advice, want to vent, etc, feel free to PM me.

Sorry to bust your bowels when you're in so much pain.
 
Glad to hear your outta the hospital JB. And it's a good thing you got all that "waste" out of your system. I'm really sorry to hear the worst part (the pain) is still persisting. You should try another doctor, fuck those assholes who denied you!

Snorting was never really my thing with opiates. I've done it a fair amount of times, but I always preferred either parachuting or swallowing my pills. (unless of course the BA was terrible that way, then I would snort). Anyways, the few times I snorted subs I got pretty ill effects, and so I hadn't done it in 3-4months. Well, yesterday I gave it a shot. I had a very small amount and want to get the "most" out of it. I felt decent for about 2 hours, but then I started to get extremely "disoriented". I felt like I was in a "fog" of sorts. I also got a slight headache and some general physical discomfort.

For whatever stupid reason, I tried snorting again today. I did .5mg this morning. I didn't really feel much of anything. But after a couple hours I started to get the same type of negative effects. They weren't as drastic though. Maybe about 40% of the severity of yesterday (probably due to the lower dose).

Jesus, I just wrote a short story to ask such a simple question. Does anyone else get these types of effects from snorting suboxone? And *only* snorting suboxone?

If I take subs SL, everything's fine and dandy.

I pretty much only take my bupe intranasally and have never really felt disoriented from it or that i was in a foggy state of mind. usually i get best effects from snorting. it increases the bioavailability so maybe its just all the extra bupe causing the problems. i really don't know though. i hope one of the next posters can be a bit more helpful to you​
 
The only reason why I'm doubting the 5' turd is because I myself have been a heroin/suboxone addict for a long time and always have like 30 rock-hard turds logged in my anal cavity whenever constipated. I usually have to dig them out myself when it gets real bad.. luckily I've managed to stay clean for a while now and am finally starting to shit normally. :D
 
Is there any specific reason as to why people get headaches when they dose differently? or i've heard some people say they get headaches when they take a lot of sub. i normally don't get headaches but i've heard considerable amounts of people say they get them from time to time
 
any high dose of suboxone(above 4mg's) can cause headaches because your taking sooo much of the drug that you feel alot of its antagonistic effects and less of its agonists effects. I use to think this was because of the naloxone because I knew people who got headaches on suboxone and they stopped when they switched to subutex....but im not so sure now because I know people who get headaches either way, so it may be the buprenorphine.

I can tell you that anything over 3-4mg's for me gives me headaches and I dont like it at all.

people forget how potent buprenorphine reallly is, and it is completely understandable that suboxone at those doses would have bad side effects(i.e. headaches). Pretty much anything over 4 mg's in my opinion is too high.....we forget bupe is 40X's stronger than morphine so even just one 8 mg pill is equivelant to 320mg's of morphine. Its just that since its a partial agonist, you dont get nearly as high as you would with a full agonist. This also has to do with the ceiling effect.
 
for me i believe its the ROA, doubt id get a headache doing IV, and i dont using SL, even at high doses.....
 
After micron filtering, I don't get a headache from IN use.

I have never tried snorting Suboxone before IN use, and wouldn't bother now that I micron filter.

I am only using 30 to 50 mcg IN (opposed to 26 mcg IV), and this is dissolved in 10 to 20 units of bacteriostatic water (sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol).

It stings initially (I am assuming due to the benzyl alcohol) but doesn't give me headaches nor irritate my nose abnormally. Nor does it cause congestion.
