I think if he waited 5 days in between dosing, he'll get the same high. I would do much less though, like 1 mg. That way, you could probably use it more often, without losing the effect.

thats waaaaay too much. i would give 1-2mg chunks to people to sniff and they would puke 48hrs. i think .5mg is good. problem is its hard to break the chips so small. so in this case actually just put 1mg under your tounge(newbs only).

im 30, been on it 5 yrs. tried getting off several times. it gets so bad. i lose my gfs that way. not using dope but from them seeing me so sick from bupe. a full month of being a sweaty asshole shivering in bed is enough to make any girl give up.

i need the shit to function and i love it. i think about dope a little bit but im glad its not in my area. its just like a fixation....the bupe. no high, but i start my day with a shower shit shave sub shot, coffee and cig and lexapro and im a happy man!!!!! i have my gf divy it out though caues i tend to keep taking more hoping to feel something like that morning warmth or relaxation.....but the whole day. plus i IV it. im trying to stop it but its really hard. once i get back on the PAP there should be no reason to slam it. but i love taking my tiny 1mg dose IV and feeling great 10 mins later as i smoke a stoge,

god i have such an addictive personality. i have a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of help though too besides the subs. i live on a mountain; no dope, work for room and board so only get 100 bucks a month stipend. and i live a spiritual life. this has helped me more than NA or any fucking therapy ever has.

oh, i have AN AMAZING gf too. i love her so much. but she asked me last night if i would choose the pills over her and i said yes. i explained i cant function without them. i could be with her but i would try to kill myself and be such a dick that she would have to leave me. just the way it is. its like my insulin. really is.

so stupid me still took Vicodin today, but I'm done. I had my last dose of 7.5/500 vicodin at around 2:00 today.

any chance I can take bupe later tonight or should I just wait until tomorrow morning?

Is u only took an ESer(Vic 7.5), just one, then u can do it later tonite...
But I'm speakin from personal opin.

Ex, IF u'll come up from it by tonite, u can do the sub tonite
If ur still feelin the Vic, then U should def. wait

using Subs while Opiates are still in ur system, can put u into imidiate withdrawl.....

SO I am only speakin from personal experience....
If one VIc ESer fucks u up pretty much all day or even gives u an effect ATALL....WAIT till the morning... and deff.... MOST DEF. ONLY TAKE A SMALL SMALL SMALLLLLLL AMOUNT OF THE SUB!!!!!!!!!!

I have to get off of subs eventually, and I'm doing it now considering I no longer have a suboxone doctor and only had five pills left. I ended up trading them for a bunch of stuff that will help with withdrawals, if they come. And yes I've noticed that my suboxone use has been purely mental, I would feel like I needed it so I would take it. No physical cravings ever.

Oh no my friend..... don't let that fool u... I've been on Subs for 8 months and after the 2nd day without it(because subs stay in ur body more like methadone, in ur tissues rather than system, which is why its nearly imposs.. to flush ur system for them) But after my 2nd day without subs, I was sick as a dog, it was worse than Heroin withdraw(which is y I got on subs in the first place) because it was LONGER!!! less sympotoms maybe, but much much longer than opiate withdrawl..... So dont be fooled.... Maybe u weren't on them for as long as i was or even took as hugh a dose as i was (16 ml a day, 2 8s) but there ARE WITHDRAW SYMPTOMS ASSOCIATED WITH SUBOXONE!!!!

This is common knowledge...

How long you have been on bupe will determine how much w/d you experience.
If I do a short week to 2 week taper I can come out with little to no w/d. And this from coming off a 400mg oxycodone or 100mg oxymorphone a day habit.

thats not true because if it goes by how long you've been on it i would go through hell because ive been on close to 3 years.

@CaptainHeroin: I've been wanting to shoot bupe for a while, when I get a new script on Tuesday I'm going to play around with pills I can afford to waste. I have no micron filters, I was wondering if stuffing one spike with cotton, then filtering through that, and repeating will be efficient enough? I use 1CC insulin syringes

It'll be good enough but it's not perfect. Ideally Suboxone should be micron filtered but it's really your call. Now that I micron filter, I wouldn't ever go back to non-micron filtering.

Whatever you feel safe doing, really. The solution will still be orange and won't be devoid of all inactives but filtering with cotton is a good first step.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I'm jumping off suboxone after almost a year - I started last September at 16mg a day and gradually worked my way down. I spent the most time at 4mg but eventually worked my way down to 1mg where I had been at for about three weeks.

It's now the end of the end of day four and I have yet to go into any real withdrawals, like the ones I would get from lack of heroin. Just a little bit of restlessness. I have been taking gabapentin and I have some tramadols on hand in case things get ugly. Also have some kpins and valliums on the way. I stocked up expecting something terrible and so far it has yet to show any terribadness.

Expect a post from me in a day or two saying how bad it is once it kicks in.

Obviously it's more than one factor. But generally that's how it goes.

I've been doing IV coke a little recently and just havnt been getting great results and the only thing I can think of is because of my 4mg suboxone dose in the morning. I usually do the coke around 5 p.m. It is good quality coke and other friends get real high from it, mixes up clear and starts dissolving as soon as it hits the water. But I've never experience the "rush" I hear so much about it.

Anyway, my main question is, is there any correlation between suboxone use and blocking coke effects?

Everything I have read, I haven't seen anything about it having effects on cocaine. I found one article on bupe's effectiveness in rats dealing with self-administration of cocaine here, but that's it.

I could be wrong, and maybe it has something to do with the dopamine release?

You might notice a slight decrease in tolerance, but do not expect it to be mind-blowing. I would start on a lower dose though, just to play it safe (especially since you are using fent), but IME I haven't seen any huge drop in tolerance when I use after being on subs.

I also notice, any tolerance drop you do get, by the second or third day of continuous use, your tolerance will be right back to where it was. It rises much faster up then it drops down. And I can break through a suboxone dose similar to yours with around 75mg of oxy, so you should get results, though maybe slight diminished.

I wish I could know for you, What was your Suboxone dose? 8mg per day for 2 weeks? It could have dropped a little or a lot, it's hard to say. Tread carefully and let us know how it goes. Be safe!

Nope, no correlation. I have used IV cocaine while on Suboxone, the effects were very pronounced.

It's probably low quality cocaine, or a high tolerance. Those are the 2 most likely scenario's IMO.

While hydrocodone is a lower-level opiate, your tolerance is not. If you think you can do it cold turkey, go for it, but it's not going to be a walk in the park, just cause your using hydro.

Suboxone treatment has been a godsend for many of us, and is a wonderful option to use. I personally feel it will be easier for me to kick subs vs oxy. Suboxone lets me live a sober lifestyle, and its great.

The choice is ultimately up to you.

You can try quitting with just hydrocodone, no harm in that. However buprenorphine is still a viable option if tapering with hydrocodone doesn't result favorably.

Try tapering with hydrocodone and I wouldn't use tramadol anymore if you can avoid it (because regular tramadol use apparently has a nasty WD profile?).

It is possible to get Suboxone prescribed for this level of a habit but it's not going to be every doctor's decision to do so (some doctors didn't want to RX Suboxone to me, and I had a heroin addiction... yeah some doctors are real stupid let me tell you... 8))
