It's really not that hard once you do it every day. You'd get a method down too if you did it every day! ;)

I was able to keep up with all that by selling half of my Subutex to get the money for the next trip after two weeks. So that means I was using 8mg/day (IV). Never sold any benzos though, I used all of them by myself.

That time when quit bupe it took me a whole month (ca. 30 days) to feel bearable/normal.

But as i've told in the previous posts this time the suffering lasted only 2 weeks and this was after 4months of IV abuse (4-6mg/day).


I'm not new to buprenorphine WDs. Actually I've been through it too many times.

Jesus christ Valium no wonder u wanted to get off subs if i had to do all that id probably quit them to. Dont they have suboxone programs in finland and dont they have like universal healthcare or something there? see if goverments read posts like valiums here they probably would give suboxone for free to opiate addicts all their doing is making you sell half ur script which then inturns leads to problems for valium as he has to do something illegal and if he gets caught he wont get his suboxone anymore so if it were me i would go back to illegal opiods. if u have read on wikipdia about suboxone it said that sweden confiscated more suboxone than all the other illegal pill form drugs combined! geeeee i wonder why? :/
 
I definitely agree that quitting bupe gets harder as you get older, or at least after going through w/d a few times. It was much easier for me the first time I quit than it was the following times.

I'm about 5'10'' and haven't gotten any longer in a while? How bad would you expect my withdrawals to be? Or did you mean a different type of longer, in which case I'm roughly.....;)

Haha, yea I knew what you meant, just messing with you, and as your other point, might be in withdrawals for a while.

Anyways, just ran out of bupe untill Tuesday night, but I was wondering, to anyone who has a scale and bupe what weighs more. an 8mg sub, or 4 x 2mg subs.

I've got a scale, but no subs to weigh. I was curious as to see sniffing which would have less powder, since I don't think they equal exactly.

Yeah, patience is definitely a good thing to have.

When micron filtering though it's pretty easy. Suboxone breaks down relatively quickly in the water, and I only filter 3 to 4 pills at a time. It's only having a good deal of patience to push out 10 units from a 1cc needle so you can get it into your insulin syringe (i use 3/10 cc insulin syringes) - and the next time I taper down, I'm going to go to 5 units per shot.

However long it takes to break down, normally for me it's about 10-15 minutes, you want to make sure you're not dry-mouthed when sublingually using it.

I rarely utilize using it sublingually though.

Yeah I intend on slowing down but I'm still young. I will take this to heart - thank you for your advice. I really appreciate you sharing your story! I am interested about European countries and the BMT situation, so thank you for letting me know how it worked out for you. :)

I only get the 8mg Suboxone tabs, and they weigh 400mg each.

So I'm quitting suboxone. I was down to 1mg sublingual every day when I stopped taking it.

I'm on day four now with really no withdrawal symptoms. I'm feeling a little lethargic, lazy, tired, more sore than usual. But really no cold sweats hot flashes restlessness anything. I struggle to sleep the past two nights I was restless and had some RLS but i DID get to sleep eventually.

I'm sitting here wondering to myself, Is this it? Or is it going to sneak up on me? I'm expecting to sit straight up one night while sleeping and just be awoken by terrible withdrawals. I'm expecting at any time to start to feel them kick in. But they haven't yet.

I've been taking potassium supplements for the RLS, no noticeable help but I won't stop taking vitamins just because of that. Also been taking Gabapentin in high doses, 600mg at a time 2-3 times daily.
 
^ How long were you taking suboxone? That;s going to come into play with how long your w/d will be? If you've been on it for a year, or any decent length of time, I don't think that the w/d have fully set in yet.
 
I started on Sub about a week ago. It has been going well - but have been having trouble sleeping, so I took a couple of my wife's Xanax. I have my urine test tomorrow and the Dr is going to freak when he see's the benzos. If I substitute clean urine for my own will he know - so the real question is - should my urine be showing Suboxone? I was under the impression they can't test for it.

The rules say we can't really talk about drug tests, but you asked so
NSFW:

Most sub Dr's I know that drug test do SAMHSA 12 panel, so it will show up both the benzo's and the sub in your urine, or no sub in clean urine. Also even low dosages of sub show up for days in urine, so you can't tell him it was just a fluke or low levels, because he might be able to check quanitative which will show 0, and you'll be screwed. Also some sub Dr's make you sign contracts and what not, for example if I use I have to report it before my next apoint, if I don't and take a drug test and fail, I get kicked out. If I report it, he decides my fate.

In your situation I think honesty is the best policy. Tell him that you took some of your wifes xanax because you are having other symptoms. I'm on suboxone, gabapentin, klonopin, and hydroxyzine. Depends on the Dr. but most likely he will prescibe you something, maybe not a benzo, but something instead of kicking you out/having you take other peoples meds

@Falcon: Congrats on stopping, suboxone has a long half life, so sometimes the withdrawals don't start right away, because it's strong at such low doses, but you should be good, I don't think you're going to go into horrible withdrawals, maybe minor ones, but based on your situation I think you're pretty good.

@CaptainHeroin: I've been wanting to shoot bupe for a while, when I get a new script on Tuesday I'm going to play around with pills I can afford to waste. I have no micron filters, I was wondering if stuffing one spike with cotton, then filtering through that, and repeating will be efficient enough? I use 1CC insulin syringes

as a former long time opiate addict... i know how great it feels. but you know how your body adjust to the drug with tolerance and how much that sucks? that happens with the liver enzyme cimetidine acts on too! the cimetidine will not be a sustainable solution to keep the high going unless you want to just keep upping it which is not a solution

just a little warning. i think i messed up my metabolism a lil with that enzyme
 
Thanks for the replies. Yes, I'm jumping off suboxone after almost a year - I started last September at 16mg a day and gradually worked my way down. I spent the most time at 4mg but eventually worked my way down to 1mg where I had been at for about three weeks.

It's now the end of the end of day four and I have yet to go into any real withdrawals, like the ones I would get from lack of heroin. Just a little bit of restlessness. I have been taking gabapentin and I have some tramadols on hand in case things get ugly. Also have some kpins and valliums on the way. I stocked up expecting something terrible and so far it has yet to show any terribadness.

Expect a post from me in a day or two saying how bad it is once it kicks in. :)
 
i think buprenorphine withdrawals are more mental than anything else, especially if you have a history of depression/anxiety IME. that lift that subs tends to give to low mood is the addiction imo. can you live without that? more important do you have to?
 
I have to get off of subs eventually, and I'm doing it now considering I no longer have a suboxone doctor and only had five pills left. I ended up trading them for a bunch of stuff that will help with withdrawals, if they come. And yes I've noticed that my suboxone use has been purely mental, I would feel like I needed it so I would take it. No physical cravings ever.
 
No tolerance and bupe

Hey guys, whats up?

SWIM with no opiod tolerance insufflated ~4mgs of buprenorphine, with great effects. However SWIMS breathing slowed quite a bit. Not short of breath or anything uncomfortable but breathing as if he was asleep.

Now SWIM is about 140lbs - checking erowid this is a pretty large amount to insufllate with no tolerance. SWIM is wondering if this dose would generally be considered safe to repeat in the future provided he stays away from alcohol/benzos. SWIM is feeling fine, coming down learning some Jeff Beck. Any fans out there? Clearly still feeling rather open and talkative lol. This is like MDMAs little brother :)

The BL gods shinned upon me today and a fellow net friend gave me a free suboxone to take away this hell.... god bless the man, and good night BL im going a tad crazy now.
 
First thing is we don't use SWIM here. Just say it's you. There's also a megathread on Suboxone might of been better to post it there. Anyway...

My friend had very little tolerance and went and sniffed half of one of my subs. I told him to just do 2mg at first but after that he insisted to do another 2 and he says that's still the highest he been even compared to Oxy.

If you didn't feel like you were in any danger then you'll be fine to do it again. Chances are though it won't get you as high as it did the first time though. Maybe if you wait a month.
