So I have had 12mg total today to feel no withdrawal. On day 2. Do you think that will be my fault dose?
I was hoping it wouldn't be so high![]()
I have a question that I can't find a straight answer too (though it is possible I missed it, I've read a lot on the web though..) is it true that when you I.V. subs that the bupe stays in your system for shorter periods of time, (meaning that if you've lowered yourself down to say, 2 mg, and you I.V. it, that in the next 24 hours you can bang a bag of dope and feel it?) I know questions about I.V'ing bupe seem to piss people off, and I know the dangers and that it's not worth it to get high, but being the junky that I am, I just have to know.
I'm having the popposite problem, I'm going more than I want haha
So I've been thinking about something regarding buprenorphine and I can't figure it out. I'm considerably smarter then most of you so it's doubtful any of you may be able to help, but its worth a try
So it is often said that if you shoot or snort your bupe, it will have a shorter duration then if taken sublingually. I just don't understand why this would be the case.
Lets look at just snorting vs. sublingual for a second. When you snort, the bupe passes through the mucous membrane of your nasal cavity and enters your bloodstream. When you take it sublingually, it passes through the mucous membrane of your mouth and enters your bloodstream. Either way first pass metabolism is bypassed and I dont see why the duration should be effected. There might be slightly faster onset via snorting, but the duration should be the same.
The same goes for shooting. The only difference is instead of passing through mucous membrane, it goes directly into your bloodstream. However, again first pass metabolism is bypassed so I dont understand why duration should be effected. The onset will certainly be quicker, but why duration?
When a drug is taken ORALLY (as in swallowed) I understand how duration can be affected since it first goes into your stomach and goes through first pass metabolism. But with bupe you dont take it orally, you take it sublingually, and it seems to me that no matter which of the 3 ways you take it (sublingual, snort, shoot), the bupe is essentially going straight into your bloodstream....so why should it matter how it got there-duration should be about the same.-DG
Question about quitting suboxone - what are the withdrawals like? I've been dosing an average of 2 mg a day for a couple months now. I plan on quitting in about 3 weeks when all my classes are over. What kind of withdrawals am I going to be looking at?
Hey I know alcohol and Suboxone together is not a recommended together, however, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this?
I drank a few beers and I wanna know if I can have a few more.
Also in the spirit of harm reduction, what are the negative effects of mixing the two? I haven't seen this topic covered in this forum and i'm sure i'm not this first with this question. I apologize if this has been covered I did not see it.
Thanks
I just don't like the combination. I think you're more likely to have a shitty hangover too but I haven't had more than one drink at a time since starting Suboxone, and I really never drink now adays, I don't really like it at all.
Just drink slowly and you should be fine if you don't drink way too much.
Thats normal from what I hear.So I have had 12mg total today to feel no withdrawal. On day 2. Do you think that will be my fault dose?

if taking opiates on subox causes them to just be blocked but the subox works, why do you have to wait so long to get onto sub? if you go into precipitated WD's, wouldn't your next dose work since the sub already kicked out the other opiate?
what's the cencus on having a few drinks while in Bupe? I have a wedding to go to this weekend and would like to have a drink or 2, but not sure it's safe.
again Cap'n H says what I try to explain before me and with two sentences. I'm dying for attention and bluelights my only outlet. wtf!!!! omgosh! jk.
so this morning I took 4mg around 8:30am and felt a little loopy. an hour later I felt totally normal, minus some sweats, and just now started to feel very minor withdrawal again. So i took 2mg. So thats up to 6mg for the day.....and I have to say I feel quite buzzed. I have a feeling that was too much for today. I don't really like this feeling bupe gives me. It's not high like an opiate, but definitely makes me feel a little buzzed in a weird way.
I'm at hour 67 since any opiates!
side question, how does Bupe effect your opiate tolerance? If I ever wanted to jump off and use opiates again would I be where I was before in terms of tolerance or would it be higher or lower?
I was using anywhere from 80-120 mg of oxycodone a day.
hi, if a non opiate tolerant person uses a dose how long do the actual effects last for from a single dose? I usually dose 1mg and get good effects, this morning i think i underdosed (well i did as i was planning on doing a few lines of meph, may 0.8mg at the most), ive hit a few benzos and want to hit more before a few more lines of mephedrone then go to bed, its been 12 hours now since the bupe dose, its barely been a background buzz, should the main effects (mainly cns depression) of worn off yet?
cheers/
today i had surgery, i took 8 mg sub in the morning. they used fentanyl as a anestesia and it knocked me out. my doc gave me 20 perk 10s am i ok taking them tonight since the fent already broke thru the sub?
