I missed my methadone clinic this weekend and they would of given me two bottles for sunday and MLKJ day, luckily I had a few 8mg suboxones to hold me, but I was on 90mg of methadone and waited 48 hours and sniffed 4mg, hoping the higher BA of insulflated bupe would be able to overcome my illness, it took about 16mg but I am fine, I have 2 8's left and tomorrow should be getting more from the walk clinic in NYC Bellvue hospital. I can not believe I switched from such a high dose with minimal if any discomfort. I have plenty of benzos too, which might of helped, but still I am fine. Bupe is the best answer for opiate addicts, all you have to do is wait 24 hours if you want to use another opiod and it really feels nice to be in control of life with bupe and not hand cuffed by methadone. I am happy I overslept and missed the clinic. I do not recommend anybody on a high dose of methadone to switch like I did, it might not work for you as well as it did for me. Anyway does the ceiling effect pertain to only 16-32mg of bupe by way of IV or any route of administration?
