Yeah. Heroin fucks me up really badly these days.

One bag has me sweating, itching and nodding profusley. Like a dope n00b.

When I shoot sub, I've always felt the transistion from sick-not sick but never a high or a rush.

I'm glad. I think if I was getting high off the stuff, it would make the weekly reductions harder to swallow. As it happens I actually look forward to them as I get a handful of benzos along with it.

No bupe today. Last dose was yesterday at 6pm. I have diarhea but no other wd symtoms. I have been smoking ganja and a little caine tho, maybe it helped feel better. Should i take a dose now wait for WD to get worse or wait it out till at least the morning? I wanna get off of this stuff soon, I feel heavily sedated and my Depression seems to be worseing, also due to life events however

Sry pointless question. I really meant is this is bad as it gets? or do I really have to wait like 48 hrs before last dose to be in withdrawl. Cause if I hadent had H in this long Id be dying already. And i really dont feel that bad off of it, although using other drugs.

Took 2mg just cause I didnt wanna wake up with a head ache

Quick question people, does anyone else get EXTREME cottonmouth from sub? I've only tried it once since it was so bad.. I had dosed 2mg at night, felt really cold for an hr n then felt fine so i went to bed, next morning however i woke up feeling a lil lightheaded and had extreme dry mouth, my mouth couldnt produce any spit/saliva, i downed 2 bottles of water with NO relief at all.. since i had no spit i had some troubles swallowing anything, which freaked me the fuck out.. it was super early morning so i talked myself into chillin out for a lil bit and eventually i was able to produce some saliva, otherwise i would have went to the er or something. Do you think its possible that im allergic to it? i do have a opiate tolerance of around 120 mgs of oc a day, and i waited about 30 hrs after last dosing my roxis.. that 2 mgs of sub rocked my ass too.. i was a lil naseaus and felt the effects for atleast a good 12 hrs.. Im asking for help here people, im out of opi's n cannot withdraw at work and have sooo many obligations outside of work too. any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance

It takes 3-4 days before I feel the withdrawal from my maintenance dose of Suboxone (at 8mg). I've moved down to 6mg from 16 almost painlessly. Next week I'll go down to 4mg and stay there for a few weeks or so. Depends on my money situation. Wondering about the generic and when it may come out. The only reason why I am wd'ing is because my parents cut off my funding for it. One year equalled $10,000. Now the payments are on me. I felt better on 8mg than 6. I can really tell the difference.

I went ahead and tried out the suboxone for my first time recreationally. I followed your guys' advice and started with a very small does of .25mg at first. I didn't feel much even after an hour and a half so I took another .5mg and then I felt it.

It was a different high than hydrocodone, (that's the only opiate I've ever tried) and it felt more like a body high to me. I also smoked a bowl of some purple urkel and took 1mg of xanax as well and boy was I "chillin". I felt pretty slow and I wasn't completely "sharp" in terms of my motor skills. I may have even been slurring my words slightly. My eyes felt pretty heavy and it felt good to just lie down. (I love downers btw.)

Overall it was a pretty cool experience, except for when I smoked a cigarette, I got very nauseous and had to lie down. I don't think I'd go out of my way to acquire more suboxone for a recreational high though. I've been trying for a long time to achieve a hard nod through use of vicodin and norco but have been unsuccessful for the most part. I was hoping the mixture of suboxone, weed and xanax would provide that nod for me but it didn't. sad.

Long-term users of other opiates be warned:

The 12-24 hour guideline to avoid precipitated withdrawal is not for everyone. Heavier users need to wait the full 24 hours or longer before starting Subutex.

I found that out this morning. I tapered down to my last doses of oxycodone- 75 then 30mg 2 hours later (from a lot more, for a LONG time), expecting to be able to take sub in the morning to feel better. 15.5 hours after my last dose, a 6mg Subutex IV put me into pretty severe precipitated withdrawal (I tested a ~.75mg dose before doing the larger dose, it had no discernible effect either way), despite the time and my COWS score. Had to call and beg my mom for money and it took 240mg IV oxycodone to break through the bupe. Not a fun time.

12-24 hour is a good guideline for heroin users. Oxycodone sticks in your system a lot longer, so you really should wait quite a while before starting Suboxone (much longer than 12 hours).

6mg buprenorphine is also a huge dose, you should never have to take that much buprenorphine at once.

CH where is your tollerance these days? You said a bag has you floored, as well as 2mg sub??

I said a bag "would" have me floored. I don't use anymore and in less than two days, I'll be 10 months clean from heroin.

So, with that being said, my tolerance is really low. I use 0.25mg buprenorphine at a time, around 3 to 4 times a day.

I essentially don't have an opiate tolerance from what I can tell, because I still get incredibly fucking high off of 0.25mg. This, and I wake up feeling no WD symptoms sometimes (except for yawning, sneezing, feeling ever so slightly sleepy). I'm trying to get to the point where I am WD-less (minus yawning, sneezing, feeling ever so slightly sleepy).

A lot longer? The elimination half life is ~3.5 hours, morphine (which heroin is immediately is deacetylated into) is ~2.5 hours with most sources even saying 2-4.

But anyway, that's why I wanted to post that. Because despite reading all the clinical guidelines for bupe induction I couldn't find anything better than 12-24 hours (and 36-48 for methadone/LAAM) and the COWS assessment.

When I say "a lot longer" I am referring to "total WD time" if you're CTing.

the WD for hydromorphone will be the shortest in time;
the WD for morphine and heroin will be slightly longer, and...
the WD for oxycodone will be longer (depends on the individual)

However, antecdotal reports of a week (OC WD) compared to three days of heroin withdrawal seems a lot better.

Then again, if you use heroin hard enough, you will also have a week long WD. It really depends on a lot of different factors, however overall I tend to imagine that oxycodone has the longer total WD time.

I think OC's (taken orally) take a while to get out of your system, whereas smoked or injected heroin falls out of your system really quickly.

I think im gonna try to taper to .5 mg at a time 2-4 times daily, then do that .25 2-4 times daily for a while. That sounds like a good idea. How long would your wd be from a 2 week 1mg a day MT?
