well im here for some advice.
i fell off the wagon about 9 days ago. i was on suboxone for over 3 weeks, then decided i was going to just enjoy the weekend...well i did, and about two days later i was scared to take suboxone again because when i first got on suboxone i went through the worst possible pain anyone could go through. i went from 600 mgs of oc's to 16mgs of suboxone, and i was sick as hell for 5 days before my body started to make use of the suboxone. so im back on oxy, but not 600mgs per day, im at the most taking 60 to 90mgs of oxy. i so badly want to get back on the train, but im scared to death that ill go through hell again. when i was induced with suboxone i was in severe wds, i waited 18 hours before i started suboxone, and it was apparently not enough, or it may of been just my body didnt like the suboxone, because i went through the worst wds for 5 days. i mean you name it i had it, i was ready to die. so now i want to get back on but i have no idea how long to wait, and what to do. i absolutely cannot stand to be that sick again, so i dont know what to do, im almost ready to say screw this, and just stay on the oxy for the rest of my life. im glad that im able to control my intake right now, but for how long. im such an idiot for letting the sub out of my system. can anyone help?

kind regards,
ruff

When I was using heroin, I could make it longer than 18 hours without Suboxone. Try waiting two or three days until you're in pretty bad WD (it might only be one to two days for you) before taking Suboxone again.

That should help. Let me know how it goes.

On suboxone, snorting coke...Dangerouse?

Ive been on sub for about 3 weeks, and before that daily heroin user for 6 months. I do NOT feel my suboxone in the slightest, so I figured it isnt effecting my body as it would without tollerance.

So is it safe for me to snort cocaine? Or is it as dangerouse as speedballing without a tollerance?

One thing I noticed is that I do not get a raised heart rate or dialated pupils at all from coke. I think if anything the sub does take away from my high in some ways.

ps. searched forums no results

The problem I've found with taking other drugs with buprenorphine is that any euphoria is almost nonexistent, like alcohol, adderall, coke. But it could just be me.

gotta be shitty coke if you're not feeling an elevated heart at all. if you're not even feeling suboxone to the smallest extent then your heart should raise from the coke.

You could have asked this in the Suboxone Mega Thread. That's where I'm going to merge this.

You can definitely use cocaine while on buprenorphine. You just don't want to overdo it.

I still feel the same amount of euphoria from drugs like adderall or cocaine, I just never found them that pleasurable to begin with and I rarely use either one.

If your heart rate isn't changed by cocaine, you're definitely snorting white powder, but it's probably not cocaine.

I dont do cocaine while taking suboxone because it makes me crave opiates. Whenever i do anything that raises my heart rate i get this crazy need to calm myself down with opiates. so i try to stay away from amph while taking suboxone.

I know what you mean. I can use stimulants without craving opiates, but I don't like uppers that much compared to downers. I like psychedelics and downers a lot more than uppers.

i got a question. i recently aquired a number of 50mg tramadol. i heard that you can mix the trams and suboxone for a decent high. i also have 5 1mg xanax so i'm sure i could take enough tramadol to feel it, at least the SNRI properties. any suggestions or experiences?

So I went in for my 2nd follow up appointment and I just need to vent... I hope this isn't outside the guidelines but I was told that for treatment it would be $1,000 period. Okay so we pay $500 up front and they said they'd bill us for the rest... So they tell me I have a statement there and I get it and it is for an addtional $1,100.00!!! it's ridiculous, I don't have insurance and anyone that doesn't knows already how much just Sub alone cost and add this on top of it and that's about 1,400$ I have to spend to continue treatment. Also I have not been able to sleep well AT ALL since I've been on Sub and now I'm getting a VERY aggressive pain in my knee periodically which is becoming more frequent every day... obviously not much I can do about that... He did however prescribe me Klonopin 0.5mg for the sleep issues so I am hoping that will help, it seemed to last night but I've heard tolerance can be built up QUICKLY for Klonopin so I wondering how long the relief will last... I just makes me feel like ALL doctors care about is money money money!... anyone else get completely ripped off by their treatment doctors?? of feel ripped off?? or is this just normal cost and I'm just a whiny bitch??

I'm not sure what it is about buprenorphine treatment but all doctors seem to be in it for monetary reasons. The two doctors i have been to did not accept insurance at all and would only accept cash.

I haven't been burned like you have but i empathize.

^ Thank you sir.. I don't feel so alone now... when I opened up the bill at the office I straight up told the lady "Good Luck, I don't have this nor do I see having it anytime in the near future"... She didn't have much to say but they still did see me so I guess that was nice of them... Oh I forgot to add that they also charged me 150$ for a drug test that I PASSED.... Gah it's so frustrating.. Thank God I found a coupon online that gives patients w/out insurance 25% off their prescriptions and it actually works for Suboxone... I couldn't believe it!

Yeah, you put yourself in precipitated withdrawal, which seems so much worse than regular wd's because of their quick onset. I was sick for three days after waiting 28 hours after using fent. Whenever I've gotten off the subs, I was very afraid to dose. I realize now that I need at least 48 hours before I can dose without getting thrown into wds. It's a timing thing and I'd suggest you wait the 2-3 days before dosing the sub, and maybe start off with 4mg instead of 16mg and work your way back up until you feel better. Good luck.

Damn how much fent were you using? You must have gone into withdrawals because the sub dose wasn't potent enough to keep you from getting sick. That is probably what happened to guy with the 600mg oxy habit. That is too high for sub. You need to go methadone first.

I've waited as short as 12 hrs after my last heroin dose and used sub and it was fine. 4mg-6mg dose of sub.

Here's my question. I just got a few 2mg suboxone and I plan to try it out for recreation. I am not an opiate addict, however, I have been taking Norco for about a week now due to a back injury.

Do I need to stop taking the Norco a few days and wait to use the suboxone? Or is it okay to just take some if I have taken the Norco the same day or the day before I plan to use?

And since it will be my first time, what dosage do you recommend? Should I take the full 2mg pill or should I try out a 1mg half pill at a time?

Sorry, I've tried to read as much of this thread as I could. I can't read the entire thread or else I'll get fired at work for doing so. Thanks for the help.

Oh yeah, and how long should I wait in between suboxone doses to not form a habit? Once a week maybe?

Ok sorry i miss quoted myself. I do get an elevated heart rate if I blow a fat line. I try to do a few small ones over a period of time because I like the less intense high, it makes me get the more stimulating effects. If i have a fat line I do get elevated heart rate.. I dunno about the pupils there always pin size... But when i do a fat line I get some stiumulant effects for a short while then i just get hella high and anxiouse. I kinda zone out and get a more downer effects...
Plus I always got a stimulating effect from my opiates talkative energetic happy outgoing, it wasnt untill i was fully addicted and 4 months in that it made me lethargic and lazy.. Maybe that has something to do with it.
My coke may not be top notch but it deff has coke in it. Prob cut with procaine or sumthin cause it numbs my mouth up exactly like some pure caine/not overly so like cut with novacaine.

Yeah once a week at least, sub has a long half life you could get away with 2x a week but i wouldnt dable. Norco is weeeeeeek compared to sub, so unless you were taking like 6 norcos at a time i would try taking 1/4 mg then maybe half a 1mg then work up to 1mg Do not go straight to 2mg sub. Thats like taking 50-80 mg hydro.

And you shouldnt have to wait, the waiting time is for people who are already addicted to opiates. Your week long use isnt significant enough to be forced to wait.

And lastly be carefull sub isnt the best recreational opiate... but im sure like any drug it can be fun. Be safe start SMALL.

Wow, ok then. That really puts the strength of the sub into perspective. Thanks a lot for that guidance, I probably would have been sick as hell if I just tried taking the whole 2mgs at once. I already get a little nausea from taking one Norco at a time.

I'll try to cut it up into 1/4 mg. So I will be feeling some of the "good effects" so to speak, from that small a dose? Will that make me nod? How long will the effects last?

Wow man, that's a lot of $.

Do you have health insurance?

My doctor only charges for the first visit which covers the next day follow up ($50) and every other monthly visit ($30). Doctors that charge hundreds and hundreds of dollars are typically just in it for the money.

I'm really sorry you're in that predicament.

Oh I forgot to add that they also charged me 150$ for a drug test that I PASSED....
This is why you should never consent for a drug test.

I've never had to get drug tested.

Yeah, you have to wait until the hydrocodone is fully out of your system before taking Suboxone.

No one can say how frequently to take it or not. That's an individual thing. However, once a week shouldn't pose too much of a problem if you keep it to once a week.

Some people nod from Suboxone, others find a speedy effect from it.

but yeah, a low dose of Suboxone should deliver the "good effects" for someone with a low opiate tolerance. I use 0.25mg at a time, and I still get high each time I do it.

can anyone help me?

Sure.

I don't like tramadol, I've never used it while on Suboxone. I would stick with Suboxone and xanax, it makes for a sweet combo.

I would split your 1mg pill in half and use 0.5mg. You'll get a better high from xanax while on Suboxone, so you won't need as much as you would if using xanax by itself.
