Strangest drugs.

Still wondering about bromo-iso-valerianyl-ureum, what does it do?

bromisoval is a ring-opened barbituate type sedative

was in medication formula's from maybe the 50-ies.
.
This drug is still dispensed over-the-counter in atleast Laos (possibly other SEA countries). I spent 5 months in SEA during my high-school gap year with a friend who was originally from Laos. I don't recall the name of the preparation but I *think* it was supplied in combination with acetylsalicylic acid.

We both tried it together and it's effects where simple. Benzodiazepine-alcohol-carisoprodol like sedation. I've never found traditional GABA-type sedatives to be particularly pleasurable so I was unimpressed. These simple Bromine sedatives aren't used medically anymore because they pose a high risk of Brominism due to their low potency (Many of them require upwards of a gram to produce a therapeutic effect) although, as mentioned, they are still dispensed scarcely around the world.

Datara fascinates me although i have taken dramamine and no sir i do not recommend at all lol. My friend took Datura and thought she as trapped in a painting for 2 days lol.

I hae had scopolamine mixed with northern lights and things got weird for abit
The closest I got to the natural genes is angel trumpets or devil trumpets more on the latter side if you ask me. Brugmansia is the flower name. I tripped/ hallucinatedi densely for 3 days and most of that time was like in hello, talking to dead relatives and friends and just chaos. That shit scared me

Datura is a pretty common weed around here. Blooms at dusk/night, which is kinda fitting. Sitting near a plant as it blooms in the twilight will make you realize why the Brujos figured it had a spirit in it.

Mirtazapine is fucking bizarre at high doses. It’s an atypical antidepressant with a dose range of 15-45mg, but at doses of 100mg+ it becomes a pretty fun (albeit very sedating) delirious psychedelic. I was honestly shocked at how well it works, straight up LSD level of trippy
Read that before, they totally debunked it, but you describe the same so there must be truth in it.

At normal 7.5/ 15 mg it gave very nice lucid dreams, kinda trippy, great med for depression too, opposed to 1-st line treatment the nasty SS(N)RIs.

Better use it for decoration and for the delicious smell, and no kids or animals around that can eat it.

Angel Trumpets are beautiful, unlike the delirious trip they cause. Glad I never tried.

Tbh I’ve only ever actually tripped on remeron at obscenely high doses. With lower (high) doses I still got the sedation and CEV’s, but no geometry or flowing of patterns on surfaces.

If you don't mind my asking, what were your "obscenely high doses" typically? (I take remeron for depression)

For me that was in the range of 180-270 (4-6 pills). I ended up at 45mg a day for about little while and it had little impact on my depression, but I’ve seen a lot of people saying it really helps them (edited dosages to be correct)

Salvia was surprisingly strange
"Gosh this salvia is strange, how unexpected and surprising"

Literally no one ever, except this guy

Salvia and dissos in general is probably the 'correct' answer to OPs question though, if you want strange that's where to look. And deliriants as well I guess.

This. Some extremely weird stuff happened with me for Haldol, but DXM has been the strongest and strangest trips to date.
One time they tried to dose me with Haldol while I was on the 4th plateau in an ER once when I was a teenager; I immediately snapped out of it and told them to give me risperdol if they insisted on drugging me with that class of drugs instead due to the risk of death being so high with haloperidol and DXM combo (lucky for me they listened to me because I said I was allergic to Haldol.) That was a fucking horrible night as I was still tripping up until it would normally wear off anyway, but also the antipsychotic side effects were present. It was shit, the doctors accused me of being on PCP, and so on and so forth. They called back 7 days later and apologized for calling me a liar when I explained DXM shows as PCP on drug screens. Dummies almost killed me with the haldol and then called me a liar, yet at age 14 I taught them something new. Doctors are terrible at their fucking jobs most of the time I have come to find over the years lol

Does it have to only be on the internet?

And what do you mean by "strange"? Like strange as in "wow, I never expected anyone to use that to get high" or strange as in effects? Or strange as in chemical structure?

DXM is probably the strangest drug I've ever personally done. It's got dissociative/psychedelic properties & it's chemical structure is similar to that of an opioid (it's the d-isomer of levorphanol actually), though it doesn't really possess any opioid activity. In high enough doses it can cause out of body experiences, near-death-like experiences and I truly believe it even has some sort of paranormal or supernatural component to it (but that's a long story).

Some of my old DXM trips completely rivaled any mushroom or acid trips I've taken. But it's got a lot of physical side effects & I don't think I'd be able to handle it anymore at my age. It's not as visual as LSD or anything though. The trip is mostly an "internal" trip, if that makes sense. Although there are some hallucinations.

When I was 27, I went on a 900mg extended release DXM trip & smoked some weed at the peak. I suddenly felt like I was outside of my body & that I was watching my life play out as a movie that was about to end. I thought for sure I was going to die (thought I had accidentally taken too much or that an organ was shutting down). I basically laid on my couch next to my mom thinking I was done for & dying. But eventually I took a klonopin & started to come back to reality. The next day I was very much grateful that I was still alive.

What's strange to me is that something this powerful is available all over the store shelves, but I can't legally walk into a store & buy some opiates? Pfft.
I understand the paranormal/supernatural feel you describe... I do... Very interesting aspect of the experience!

Glad I'm not the only one!

There's something deeply profound about a DXM trip. More than any shroom or acid trip, but it's hard to articulate.

I actually miss this aspect of DXM. I had to stop tripping on it though because this past year I started to notice that I would get something akin to "costochondritis" a few days after a trip. I have no idea why. I didn't connect the two for a number of years, but then I did & ceased using DXM altogether & the weird costochondritis episodes stopped.

One of funniest listed side-effects of a prescription medication can be seen with RLS drugs, like ropinirole: compulsive gambling.

There have been case reports of individuals with no history of gambling issues develop full on gambling problems when taking this class of drug.

I bet that it would also be bad for anyone who has an addiction.
Those two, I meant to connect them, and was distracted.

I meant to connect them, and like I said, I got distracted. Read both quotes. Comprendè? I guess no comprendè
