i checked SLR wondering how you were, glad to know you are still handling things with an upbeat attitude. be sure to post some pictures of you and your newborn when you get a chance!!
 
im still waiting.....and waiting. my mom seems to think that ill be in the hospital by noon tomorrow. my sister ( batty as some of you might know her ) is hoping he will stay put till she gets here to visit, which is in 6 days....i hope it doesnt take that long !!

overly excited and anxious, i doubt sleep is in my immediate future...lol
i love you all !!!!!!! ( im surprised im in such an upbeat happy mood !)
 
so yea..no progress just yet...still waiting, but im HOPING something will happen by tomorrow night... the doc got my hopes up that it would be soon :( so i guess i just wait more...*sigh*
 
Don't rush it. Chill, find something to do for a bit. Really you don't want to lay in that hospital for days do you.

Good to hear things are going well.

well, when he told me i was 3 cm. dialated, i just expected it to go a little faster ( i know labor takes HOURS, but damn) my contractions arent painfull or regular, however i have quite a few an hour.
im just confused how i got to 3 cm. and not be in labor....its beyond me... i thought that when u dialate, things are well on their way... maybe thats just how it *usually* happens

i know that my body will do what the hell it wants, and at its own pace, regardless how much i want it to hurry up, so i just try to eat and shower alot (which i wont be able to do once im in the hospital)...sooo , im off! for the 17th shower today!

ps- sorry if im becoming a postwhore, but i really truly have nothing better to do, and it helps to pass the time

Did it ever occur to you that it was tuff for us to having to sit here and wait for news and cute bubby pics...........lol.

Only jokin...........u no that.
 
ooh... i wish there was something i could do to help nature along....i asked the doc. if walking or climbing stairs would help start 'active' labor (this is what everyone is telling me to do) and he said ' well, you might get some excersize, and pass the time... but besides that ...nothin '
i asked my mom if we could go to the hospital and ask that they break my water ( quite a few women i know had to have theirs broken) so maybe my contractions would get stronger, and she was just like ' ummm. i dont think so.....go lay down for a bit'
but if theres no change by tuesday (saturday is my due date) my doc. said theyd go ahead and 'help me along'
so im just still a-sittin and a-waitin twiddlin my thumbs

just for kicks , what does everyone think of Elijah Travis ??(travis being my moms maiden name, so theres somewhat of a family history)

and do you know whether its a boy or a girl?

edit: i love the name elijah, i person want a boy and name him elijah.. :)

oh , daddy is at his house sleepin right now (i live with my mom)
every time i call he says ' r u havin the baby?!?!?' and i say no and he gets all disappointed. hes going to be there , him and my mom, one on each side (even tho they hate each other,lol)

i when i had surgery in april he stayed in the hospital with me 24/7. they have chairs that fold out into beds, and id wake up, yell at him that 'i gotta pee !' and hed get up 6 times a night to help me up to the bathroom, so i have no doubts that hell be at the hospital the whole time again .
now, if he can make it without fainting, thats a nother story

all bets are that as soon as the baby crowns hes hittin the floor...lol
 
good luck and i hope things get moving along. i am 30 weeks and i know how everyday drags on sooo slow for me, i cant imagine what it must be like for you to be so close, but still so far away. if you are anything like me i am sure you have yelled many a times by now "get outta my body!"
 
walking does help... supposedly...
but also suggestions to help along are a hot compress on your chest, curb walking, swinging for a while, jumping on the bed, certian pressure points if you look up accupressure...
 
black cohosh, blue cohosh and evening primrose are a few other things besides rasberry tea leaves that can help IF used properly
theres a ton of information online to help start and speed up labor naturally with herbs.
dont try castor oil, please.
