We're looking forward to seeing the little one!

I admire your courage staudri- you are handling your situation at 16 better than I believe I would in your place, and I'm 24 with a good and flexible job.

You are MORE than enough woman emotionally to be an amazing mother to your child. I look forward to your continued involvement in this forum as the glow of motherhood continues to grace you. Many Bluelighters are parents or parents-to-be, and could greatly benefit from your advice and counsel.

My best wishes to you for a quick, easy and uncomplicated labor.

PS- Keeping a journal of your feelings and concerns could be very valuable right now. Buy yourself a pretty book and write every day, even if it's just a few lines. Reflect on your new identity as a parent. :)
 
im gunna get a roll of black and white film and take a bunch of awesome pix. ill post em as soon as i get em developed. if ne1 has ne creative pic. ideas let me know

because of the fact that your stressing over it, means that u will try your hardest to be a good mum.

just dont smoke in front of him, or swear at him or hit him ok. i hate mothers and fathers who do that to their children, its disgusting.

dont stress to much dear. u sound like u will be an awsome mother and your son will grow up being so proud of his mummy.

You probably won't get any really great photo ops until you get home with your baby. Hospital lights are unkind. Even though they kind of make the birthing rooms a little nicer (at least at Duke) everyone's strung out- I'd up for three days, the Mom had just pushed a human being out of her crotch... I think the idea of using B&W is a good flippin' idea though.

I hope that labor goes well for you. I can't imagine what that's like- and I was there when it happened once... 8o
 
yea, i got to watch my little brother come out.... i had front row seats....it was ...intresting to say the least. i really want to have pix of my big ole belly to remember that , yes, i really was that big. i made a plaster cast of my belly from my chest to my hips, and i cant even believe thats as big as it is. im hoping to get some really great pix of my belly before i go into labor though, just to have proof....im due in 9 days so i better get to it , lol
 
Great to hear things are going well for you sweety...........your gunna do just fine and cant wait to see some pics of bubby and the proud Mum.

lol, im in virginia. i just hope i get around to takin pics. before i have him and its too late. my mom has 1 pic of her when she was pregnant with me and i look at it now and its insane to know i actually fit in her belly. makes me appreciate her a little more, lol.
 
8 Days and counting... my baby's Mom was pretty sick of being pregnant at this point. Hang in there, you're almost done.

We're from NOVA- we go back up through there all the time. I know there's a trip coming up in early June, let me know if you need anything. My girl is always outgrowing stuff. Some clothes are unisex, of course all the toys are.
 
good lord, no more toys. lol. my little brother has a shitload that im sure will be passed on to me. that child has enough shit to entertain an army of kids. i have 3 baskets full of clothes that ive already washed and folded like 3 times ( that 'nesting' thing i guess ) one of my friends gave me a sexy underwear and tank top set and said " honey, i know how fat and ugly you feel, but u will be sexy again soon" she has 3 kids, so she knows how i feel, its not my main concern but i though it was awesome that she thought of me in the midst of mountians of baby stuff, it made me feel better. now i can look foreward to stuffin my non-pregnant belly in that cute little tank top.

everytime i stand up i keep hoping ill be in a puddle of water, but it never happens, lol. i know imma hate life when it happens, but i wish i could just get it over with and quit worrying. i asked my doctor if the hospital had a newborn intensive care unit , incase something happens and he needs immediate care after birth, and he said even women who have been trying for years to have a family, or have had problems during pregnancy dont even think to ask that, but he assured me that they have the best care avalible in the area, so that makes me feel a little better.

neway , its time for food .....AGAIN ! lol
 
progress....

some of you might remember my pregnancy post a few weeks ago, and i promised updates soo...

i went to the doctor today and im 3 cm. dialated and should be going to the hospital when my contractions become more regular, more than likley tonight or tomorrow.

thanks for everyones imput, i am now able to go into this with alot more confidance. im all set to go and will post again when i return from the hospital. Thanks for everyones support !!!!!!
 
yea, im going to pounce on the first offer of painkillers that are offered....i think i just might ask for an iv before i get my epidural...

my contractions arent painfull (yet) so im just waiting ...and waiting...and *gasp* waiting some more!

at least the hospital room will have a/c (which isnt on in my house til friggin mid-july)
i am very happy i didnt notice 1-3 , however 4-10 are probably going to suckass.....*sigh* so its off to eat....AGAIN! <3 u all !!!!!!
 
Congrats girlie,

My friend like to spend as much time as possible at home before going to the hospital, but that might not be for everyone.
