well, my thinking is this......the caliber of parties that ultraworld puts out, im sure they know what theyre doing by adding the hip hop tent. itll prolly be a good thing
 
Yeah Jamal...long ass fucking car ride with just us to keep each other company....and then a whole weekend together after that. You think we'll be able to even STAND each other after that? I'm bringing cameras and booze and buckling up for a CRAZY weekend! I can't wait, i'm finally making it to starscape! :-D

If too many people start saying they are gonna have to bail due to lack of transportation....I'm gonna have to start a STARSCAPE TAXI!!!! =D

But, I live super close to the venue so...me driving to the New England area to pick people up and bring them here is kinda impractical :\

But its totally something I could see myself doing anyway. lol =D

Oh yeah and....I know in the past (at least last year) people have organized an e-mail list to help make the meet-up easier. I'm totally willing to get an email list together if someone can tell me what exactly I'm supposed to do! lol. I think Web organized the e-mail list last year..or maybe that was for Boo?? I dunno. But if anyone has tips let me know and I'll get started! =D

Ok so since I'm totally bored today, I went back through this thread and got a list together. This is a list of people who say they are going (or so I assumed from their replies) If you aren't on this list, or want to add someone to this list, let me know. If you are on this list and don't want to be, let me know.

Hopefully I'll get around to starting up e-mail correspondence and all that shit so that a good quality meet-up will take place =D

If your e-mail is not listed in your BL profile, please post it or PM me with it if you want an e-mail (we're not talking massive spam emails or anything. Just an e-mail list of everyone going and maybe a few e-mails going out to those on it)

i have a feeling that starscape is gonna be... overwhelming. for me, at least. so many people, so much music, holy shit where will i begin and where will i end?!?!
 
However, I am not happy about the whole hip hop addition. It is my personal opinion that that style of music does not belong at this event... but who the fuck am I? Fuck it, it may turn out to be a positive thing, who knows?

I am in full agreement WEB. I like hip hop, respect it, and have no problem with it as a musical genere, but I do NOT see it as anything resembling "rave oriented vibe." Personally, i dont think it belongs there, and was one of the problems I had with b006 as well as other SOE events. However, as stated above, Ultraworld probably wont allow it to take away from the rest of the evening (even tho i say it allready has, since there is no goa stage this year). I almost see this as having a country music stage along with the others at starscape (well im exaggerating...)! It seems like they were really reaching to fill a spot, goa isnt nearly as popular as hip hop, and hip hop djs are hell of a lot easier to find. Im not trashign hip hop, im actually listening to some at the moment. BUt i really dont think it fits in with the starscape vibe...but as web said, maybe its just me :\

Ok I just realized I am going to need all of you to PM me with your e-mail addresses if you are interested in being on the Starscape e-mail list. For some reason I thought our BL profiles had a field for e-mail addresses but they don't. It just has a link to "send this person an email" but I need to get a list together on my yahoo mail account in order to send out a mass e-mail.

I don't mind taking the initiative to get a list together but I've never gotten around to doing a BL meetup and I know many of you have, and have good ideas on planning one and so I'd really appreciate any advice/help you can give me!! =D
 
last year everyone met up outside the jungle tent, but for some reason none of them liked jungle :-/ (i thought it was kewl, got to hear andy c's entire set while socializing with the personalities i never got to meet in rl)
 
^^ yeah the funny thing is....while i bailed on the meet-up last year, i was told where you guys were all hanging out (after the fact) and it turned out to be right near where i was most of the night. lol

btw....THE WOOD....umm you are really fucking hot

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!! I've been kicking myself in the ass ever since I missed last year's meetup. Especially because I WAS there!! (It was a last minute decision to go so I didn't pay attention to meet-up details and stuff)

But NOTHING will keep me from the meet-up this year!! :)

Oh btw...xena...or somebody....whats up with gmni13? I haven't seen him post in awhile :\ Tell him he MUST MUST MUST come to Starscape!! Its our belated birthday party!!
