Six in hospital after taking "2-CB"

Interesting. Thanks for confirming it wasn't 2C-B (although that was pretty fukkin obvious). Intensive care is some nasty bizniz. I hope he's okay <3

Any idea what it actually was? Was there any left over to get tested or any word from those that are out and about now? My money's still on an NBOME or a 2C-T-x unless it was a polydrug thing. No 2C-x is an intensive care job unless it was some kinda freak reaction or summat.
 
Having been a student at Newcastle a while back, I can tell you Jesmond is full of well off daddy's girls and mummy's boys who are pretentious, narcissistic bellends.

Whilst I hope the lad is ok and there's potential they took a fake, there's as much chance these boys necked a few pills without having any idea what the drug was or the dosage required.

We'll find out more in a bit I guess. It's drugs, being nasty, media will lap that up. Better headline than "sicko shaved my shih-tzu" in the Sun today.
 
May have stepped on a rake when he was freaking out, ala "Ketamine kills girl" when turns out she got into a bath and fell asleep.

Who knows?

Apart from the squirrels that is.

I can see 2cb landing folk in hospital just because people are daft, not in "critical condition" though. Most of the time when I hear about someone being hospitalised due to drugs they really should just have went to their bed.

We are quite lucky at the minute as the NBOMEs don't seem to have taken off as big here, in America finding acid at the moment seems to be difficult and there is loads of blotter about, lots of NBOME.


There is NBOME being sold round here at the moment though I'm fairly sure, under a different name that doesn't hint at the drugs name at all. It's also been cut and put in a capsule, people are just being told to crack open the capsule and sniff. I've tried the NBOMEs pure though before and have no interest in sniffing capsules of something being sold under something comparable to a headshop name though. Especially as it's clear then the guy is just trying to profit as he doesn't want anyone knowing the chemical. It's a pity people don't realize the craic with the NBOMEs though, it isn't like acid, you can't go for a 15 hit wonder and expect to still be standing after.

I've seen first hand 2C-B land people in hospital and you're completely right, it was because they were being daft and should have went to bed. I find the stuff extremely forgiving though, kept redosing one time at a night out, sniffing and eating and just redosing and redosing as the comeup got me really riled up. I was fucked out of my head and couldn't cross the street, visuals properly swallowing me and my shoes if I stared too long, but when I got to a rave and had some good techno blasting and could just stand and close my eyes, as close to feeling out of my body as I've ever had with any substance I felt completely safe even in the weird location as I recall at one point a dog running about and I thought it had jumped off the balcony (was a few stories up). But at the same time I've seen people who handle their shit well have major freak outs on the stuff and some people properly loose their minds (talking gibberish/acting VERY out of character, although lots of drink was involved) for a few hours. Showed me that when your messing with psychedelics that work at this sort've dose you need to watch who's eating them. So 10x more if it's an NBOME.

Although the 'critical condition' changed what I was originally thinking, definitely sounds like something fake or accidental overdose, mistaking it for something else.

True enough. I'm giving the fella above who claims to know the peeps firsthand the benefit of the doubt though. Does sound more like noobs overdoing it with Goodies they bought off t'interwebz though I must admit.

Thanks. It's an old photo, I've put on some weight since.

NBOMe's are gonna stick for a while I'd have thought. Don't see where the mainstream popularity will come from and if 6-APB is anything to go by there won't be a rush to temp ban the stuff unless a few people get too eager and give the media reason to start a moral panic. But yeah, be careful.
 
Agreed. They've not really taken off half as much as you'd think summat that can basically be bought legally for pennies, knocked up onto blotter easily, and sold on as "acid" (or LSD-26 or some other bullshit name) for a bazillion and two percent profit. Is actually quite encouraging. Had similar worries when 2Cs first became popular but never really happened. Was offered homemade 2C-E blotter once and the fella got an earful from me about irresponsibility and profiteering cos s/he was essentially clueless and just in it to make a few quid quickly. The average punter seems surprisingly - and pleasingly - immune to being sold dodgy shite with a dubious name on blotter thankfully.
 
bought online so there's obv that on record. as he said he's fine and out and about now, so I'll find out the crack probably tomorrow if he can remember(!)

they know what they're doing generally, and they're not 'mummy's boys' for sure and this actually happened in the Sandyford/Heaton area which I'm guessing you know is quite different to the posh boys and girls in Jesmond. They're aren't that type, they local lads and they aren't 'dabblers'. They thought they were buying 2cb online. I'll find out more tomorrow...

That's the only reason I posted here today, I haven't used the site in a while but came here with the sole purpose of spreading what little information I have, as opposed to speculation.

2cb has always been a nice add on to E when coming down IMO - we had pills that were 100mg and split so quite ofter did halfs

must be shit 2c mate or you are making numbers up. 99% of 2c pills are from asia and they have no where near that dose. i bet you can tell what % purity your gear is by just looking at the wrap yeah? :)
