Share Something Positive from Your Day vs. It's All Around You

Last day of teaching for me and the second grade teacher asked the students to get in an "appreciation circle" and give me feedback for the things that they think I do well. Here's some of what I heard from 8 year olds:

"I'm grateful that you always give 1000000000% so that we get to do really fun projects with cool stuff."
"I like that you let me work away from the other kids when it is too noisy."
"I'm grateful that when we don't follow the instructions you never get mad and you joke with us."

and my personal favorite:

"I love you and you make me want to be an artist when I grow up."

Did I cry in front of the whole class? Of course!=D

Agreed! Great post indeed Herbavore :)
What a nice quote. You´ve earned it!

@Herbavore no problemo, just being honest. lol but I couldnt remember writing that cause i musta been pretty steaming drunk at the time.

I felt like I was manoeuvring social interactions with a grace and ease which isn't typically how things happen.

My manager complimented me she said "Maya is so amazing, she gets things done"!

i was feeling crabby this morning bcus i got to bed at 2am, but i still did my morning run.

I get to spend time with my dad today and that means the world to me...gonna spend more time with the people that matter in my life rather than mindlessly partying.

In early March, I filed a 1040x form (that is an IRS amended tax form) for some federal tax credits I hadn't claimed in 2013. I I got a letter from the IRS today, telling me that my form was accepted and to look for my tax refund check in the next 2-3 weeks!!

First day in a very long time that l didn't have ANYTHING to do...we just lounged in the pool and now we are watching No Country for Old Men, one of my fav books/movies. And it is nice to enjoy these things sober! Seven days today;)

It feels so good when someone you like take their time to cook for you. I´m very grateful for that as well.
