I think it boils down to a combination of transphobia (not seeing a trans woman as truly being a woman, no matter what)
I don’t get that. I’m sorry, but that is not transphobia. It is simply sexual preference.
I’ll be frank, I don’t consider trans women at any stage of transition to be the same as a woman born as a woman. That is a pretty common perception that ain’t goin’ anywhere, and hostility to that is illogical. And I’m not hung up about it gender wise, I’d fuck any person who I’m attracted to. I’ll call them her/they/mam, whatever they like, no skin off my teeth. But then if I was to go through life all over again and settle down with someone permanently, I’d still seek out a person who was born female for a variety of reasons.
How is that transphobic? It has nothing to do with fear or logical fallacy or the crap that society spews, it is simply preference and biological fact. Maybe somehow in some future there will be the technology to completely alter the physical makeup of a human being but we are still light years away from that.
And all that is okay! You can fuck who you want to and everyone else can fuck who they want to and some random person not viewing you as a woman can not view you as a woman and it really doesn’t effect your life. You
know why loads of people do not view transitioned MtF as 100% synonymous with cis women (or vice versa, which in my lifetime were just called tomboys), but you’re forcing yourself not to see it. The answers are there and it ain’t anything too complicated.
Understanding other human beings is difficult and I get that. But accepting that they are different from you and think differently is exactly what you are asking of others when you get hung up on non-existent transphobia.
