Being new to Briz from Syd hubby and I would love to meet up wid ya all. Weekend, either saturday or sunday, sounds good for everyone so far. And a BYO picnic near the river sounds brilliant.
Name the day and we will be there.

Blue Eyed Girl: weeeee! by the time this rolls around, i'll be able to say..."my husband and I will be there too"...hehe :D We can have a married-doubles totem tennis match. ;)
(really tho: we've been together for over 4 years, it's just putting a title to something that's already there...but it's still cool :) )

and for getting together sounds good... what about the easter Advent*jah ?? is a little far off but will be one of the biggest and best events in Bris.
I personaly cant on weekends cus my weekends are in the middle of the week :(
 
Sometime when the weather is better! Spheroid - the same thing goes for Easter Advent*jah as for Two Tribews. Personally I'm not up to any events until I've finished my thesis (June), so a picnic would suit my time constraints and budget better. Sorry that you don't get weekends off - maybe a midweek coffe/drink as a secondary meetup or a smaller meet-up at an event can be organised so you can come to one, but I think this picnic idea is a goody.
Ok, not this weekend, obviously, but how about either the next one (8th-9th March) or the one after that (15th-16th)? Hands up please?? I guess I'd go for Newfarm Park simply because it's more central than West End, but I'm open to suggestions. Cuddlefish, myself and a soccer ball will be in attendance...
 
I can't do anything from the 8th of march til around the 20th since i'm off on holidays then celebrating my birthday.
 
Organise the time and place and I’ll be there, I’m not much fussed as to when or where other than as I posted before with the dates I’m away and work/study commitments during the week.

bring nibblies, something to sit on and any fun park type games (im bringing badminton) friends romans and countrymen welcome (just bring anyone... hehehe)

im up for that andromeda, but also people there is a doof which would be good for a different atmosphere that nite at belthorpe very cheep, plus my friend will b dj ing later on in the morn/day with pystrance hardcore or tranceor whateeeever suits the time. so are u up for----------

The Details:::::
Autumnatic is an outdoor party and landcare event for the vernal equinox. The event aims are tree planting and lantana removal at a beautiful new site in conondale, to provide an inspiring sonic and visual experience, and to further develop a sense of active and creative community in the area.
The gathering will begin friday night, with a chilled acoustic night for those who wish to come early and be part of the landcare work on saturday. Work starts 9am saturday morning and will run throughout the day.
Music on saturday will start at sundown, and will feature a broad range of electronic sounds provided by djs and live acts, illumnated by a host of visual innovators.
The event will be catered for by the griffith uni food co-op and food not bombs, and there will be toilets onsite. Please car pool as parking is limited!!!
Entry is $5 for those who arrive by 9 am on saturday and help with planting/weeding or $15 for party-goers who arrive afterwards.
Things to bring:::::::
::For Planting/weeding: gloves, long sleeves, cutting and digging tools, water
::For Partying: a torch, blankets, more water, a bag for your rubbish, smiles!!
::Things to leave at home: pets, alcohol, glass, fightin' words
Directions::::::
From brisbane, take the Bruce Highway until you reach the glasshouse mountains tourist drive and landsborough exit (malaney via landsborough rd). follow this road through landsborough until you reach malaney. Continue on straight through malaney on the main road (malaney-kennilworth rd). Keep following this road for 15-20km, until you reach aherns rd on your left. (no street sign here - look for the crystal waters sign and a big arrow...... )
Aherns rd splits about halfway along. Take the right turn. Keep following this road until you reach kilcoy lane on your right. Go past crystal waters permiculture centre, follow the road straight ahead through the cattle grids (dirt road at this point) Follow the signs on to broken bridge rd, keep following the signs until you reach the site. good luck!

for those of you who cant attend a meetup on the saturday in the park, perhaps you would like to come to the doof, or maybe something on sunday?
please please please send me an email letting me know if you are coming to the new farm meetup, as there is no real point of having a meetup if only 3 ppl attend! let me know if the 22nd is not a good day, so we can change the date/venue of the meetup if enough people cannot come. Please! lets make a go of this, meetups are great fun!

I vote for picnic... Celebrate my birthday!!! :D Which btw BK *huge hugs* for the sms. Although after the week I've had postponing it and sleeping the weekend away would also be a good idea. *shrug* I'm not a decision maker at all, somebody decide and if it's on, I'll drag my ass there, will be nice to see all of you nutcases again, it seems like it's been forever.
 
I was going to cancel the meetup, but seeing as how quite a few ppl are keen for it, it will go ahead as planned.

3pm, new farm park, the rosegardens... bring pickernicker stuph and anyone/thing else you would like to bring. Im bringing badminton and hopefully a nice clean shiny red bug.
anyone who wishes to come to the doof afterwards can follow frootcake and I.
