Scary movies on psychedelics

I disagree that Saw is pure gratuitous gore. If you watched the Saw movies and payed attention, you'd know that theres more to it than that. I love the message of Saw ("Some people are so ungrateful to be alive. But not you. Not anymore.") and the way the villain/anti-hero goes about spreading the message works so well. I don't know why Saw hits home with me so much but it does. The gratuitous gore? Well, maybe I'm just messed up in the head for liking that part ;)

watching movies at the theater on psychedelics is just fucking terrible, multiple people have told me this. Download a copy and watch it at home, that way you can smoke a bowl, scream, get drunk, ect... without worrying...

Yeah, being stuck in a movie theatre on psychedelics isn't the greatest idea.

Definatley watch movies on phycs at home. I have many times even horrors. I feel like is has to do with comfort, being in your own house and all. You can change the setting if need be. In the theatre, theres in the movie and ten theres out in the hall. Neither is really comforting I find.

As for horror movies, I watched "Prince of Darkness" on a hefty dose of 2c-i, and I managed just fine. I was feeling like I was the people being kiled/stalked, but the movie moves to fast for the effect to set in. And I just absorb the movie imagining what it would be like to loose a leg...

definatley download those movies and happy tripping

The psychology of Saw isn't through the view of Jigsaw, it's through the view of the victims. If you put yourself in their shoes it can open you up to try and figure out what you might do. Sure you MAY say you'd do something sober, but tripping puts you into a different mindset, more primal in my experience. Then knowing if you'd have the guts to do it really comes out.

The stuff in Saw don't get me. Now seeing Napalm in 28 Weeks Later burning people alive made me cringe and nearly cry at the brutality of human nature. I can only imagine how much that would have hit me tripping.

&Weird I FOUND 28weeks later pretty mid, but briliant in its intensity. Great conceept. I had mates around me shying away, but I reveldd in it. Oh god I ca;t ake sense,

yea, ^ i liked that movie alot. Made me think of primordal (sp) fears we all have.

eugh that scene when the dad and mom are trapped in the room and he sticks his thumbs in hers eyes....

The jut terror of being trapped in the containment room.

So many aspect of that would have really hit differently tripping. I'm kinda curious now on how different horror movies since I do always look for the psychology of them would hit me while tripping.

I couldn't even watch American Psycho while stoned, and I love scary movies. But that's just me.

It's not WHAT the main premise (zombies, vampires, serial killers) is. It's the basic underlying psychological aspects in horror movies that makes them seem like they'd be interesting and enjoyable on psychedelics.

At least to me.

i uaully watch drug related movies while tripping, if a movie is decided upon.
Or i like to watgch music or animation films.

As far as scary movies, i find them silly and funny when i am tripping.....
I cqan only get scared when i watch a movie sober, if i am tripiing i just lasugh at the silliness..

It's one of the movies that I've watched stoned and actually found funny in a very dark way. Watching a scene where he fires up a chainsaw while singing the praises of Huey Lewis & the News's 'Hip to be Square' is just very funny in a very sick way! :D

Try the remastered Fantasia (yes, the Disney movie) and THAT is a mindtrip.....it's also like that movie was MADE for hallucengenics......8o :\

That movie, was freaking off the chain.....

I saw 1408 in theatres tripping on what was supposed to be 12mg of 2c-e... a compound I've used over 50 times and love and adore.... however, this time it wasn't from my supply and was diluted into a drink. I was told it was 12mg... but once calculated after the event, it turned out to be 24mg... needless to say, I was very unable to drive... the movie was FUCKING CRAZY!!! 1408 is a metaphor for an eternal bad trip (at least from my perception).

There were these jackass teenagers in the back who kept laughing.. and this bitch who kept turning around and telling them to "Shut up" or "Would you please just shut the fuck up?!?!" and so me and my friend where freaking out.. he thought we were being too loud.. and realized we weren't speaking... for me, I wasn't sure if it was happening or a part of the movie...

we spent 8 hours at a post box pavilion in the neighborhood outside of the theater because neither of us could drive in our condition, and our friend ended up having to go to work who was supposed to get us. Needless to say, crazy movie... crazy day.

I wouldn't recommend seeing any Saw movie on an psychedelic... I'd be less worried that it would be emotionally scarring to you, than you would find it disturbing and the implications of such movies being widespread and their effects within a society that is filled with murder and the like.

my two cents... sorry about the length.

I can't say I really enjoy horror movies in the first place.A psychedelic might help, not with the movie but maybe bring up something worth while to think about.
