I'm waiting for someone to come and say "It was a great film Mugz, thanks for the recommendation" just doesn't seem to be happening, lol.

Has anyone at least given it a try?

Is a massive chick flick but I like it. Watched it again last night. Isla Fisher is as fit as ever in it too.

Will Hayes (Ryan Reynolds) is a 38-year-old father who is in the midst of a divorce. After her first sex-ed class, his 10-year-old daughter Maya (Abigail Breslin) insists on hearing the story of how her parents met. Will gives in, but decides to change the names and some of the facts relating to the various love affairs of his youth, thereby creating a love mystery; Maya is left guessing which of the women will turn out to be her mother. The story he tells Maya is depicted in long flashbacks. From time to time the film switches back to the present, where Maya comments (often disdainfully) and asks questions.

April 1st was a few months ago mate .

I know this is a drugs forum, but I can't begin to imagine the combo you must have been on to watch that! Let alone enjoy it! I would watch it but it will only encourage them.

Started watching a few westerns recently. There seemed to be a period in time where they made loads of westerns and then a new genre took over, although there have been some in more recent times, anyway, start with one of the best !

Westerns were took over by a 3rd wave of horror I suppose weren't they?
Tis a shame as you can't beat flicks like "High Planes Drifter" and "The Magnificant Seven" (even though it was pretty much "Seven Samurai" with guns )

Erm The Host is quite funny. Napoleon Dynamite. Amelie. No others really come to mind.

It was extremely girly :D not always a bad thing though. At least it kept you entertained and you watched it the whole way through. Gotta be a good sign right?

Still on my western buzz, I watched True Grit, think its a remake of an old western, Very well done and acted too!

I might watch it again tonight, haha, have not got much choice on my harddrive unless I hook up my external dvd drive and route through my box of dvds which will be noisy. Streaming is out of the question too.

Maybe it is worth hooking up my DVD Drive and sticking on a film, my housemate will be moving back to spain soon so I am not too bothered about annoying her, it is only 20minutes after quiet time anyway and she doesn't always stick to the rules.

Will watch a film in my big bindle of films without cases one that I haven't watched yet then will report back on whether it is a good movie to be recommended to others

Drugstore cowboys - already mentioned above but worth saying again - top show

Spun - nuts film about tweakers in the usa

River's edge - not much drugs (well, lots of pot) but far-out performances by Crispin Glover and Dennis Hopper

and one more:

Human traffic - reach for the lazers, safe as fuck

oh and of course

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - trippy as fuck

I enjoyed True Grit. If you liked that I recommend:

A story about family, greed, religion, and oil, centered around a turn-of-the-century prospector in the early days of the business.

I just watched 'My Dog Tulip'. 10/10, one of the best films i've seen this year. A definite must watch film if you love dogs, jazz, and quirky animation. It was very heart warming, and brilliantly written. I think it would go well with MXE.

The story of a man who rescues a German shepherd and how the two become fast friends.

Sleepers

There is a great film on at the moment on ITV 3 called 'SLEEPERS' starring Robert De Niro & Kevin Bacon.
Its about a group of young lads sent to a boys prison where Kevin Bacon is one of the guards who is a sadistic bastard who beats & sexually abuses the boys.
They then meet up with him later in life when they are adults and no longer in prison. Won't say anymore but watch it if given the chance, very good film and the book is great also.
