which i also watched the full non screener today and i like it in the way shit like this could happen and we take certain things for granted like our meth treatment , imagine one day some apocalyptic shit happened like a massive world war where a couple of nukes were used , not enough to kill us all but to fuck the earth up big time this film shows us what our future could be on a more realistic scale than any other film like it out there or go watch 2012 .. really ? yeah the road scares me more in a reality way of earth going bye bye , or maybe not earth but the life on it and it will be all mans own doing !

But Stake land is like The Road but with more action , more fiction and crazyness in it .. worth the watch imo

So yeah thats the guy that brought us Hellraiser which some were YAAAYYYYY !!! and others were totally NAE !!!!!!!

The story was actually interesting enough since it wasnt some idiot with a knife in their hand that wont die or wears a scream mask over and over repeating a story over and over but yes theres a but .. the voice acting was all over the place im sure i heard a woman speak french with a Scottish accent while she was yodeling all at the same time which is a pretty fucking awesome talent to pull off if you was at a party stoned or something but it wasnt , it was clive barkers book of blood so fail on that big time but ayyeyeyeyeyeyeyey < (french accent) i as said enjoyed the story although not a blockbuster hit good for a few mates chilling out bored to watch

I watched Ghost Dog: Way of the samurai the other night, I loved it at the time but cant remember anything about it now I was stoned to fuck.

I was talking about that with a guy at work the other day. I've had it on DVD for ages, only bought it because RZA did the soundtrack but it turned out to be a quality film. I like how his best mate is French (or Spanish, some foreign shit anyway) & they can't speak each other's language but still have conversations anyway.
 
A quick warning to everyone: Captain America is the shittest film on the face of the earth. If you value your life don't watch this crap. This site is about harm reduction, and this film will make you want to self harm.
 
SUPER 8 oh mr spielberg i know it was only producing the movie not directing it but while watching it i just knew it had that lesson you want to teach the world that if an alien visits all it wants to do is "ET PHONE HOME" or go home for that matter, dont prod it with sharp sticks with rust nails on the end of it nor nice new shiny ones either because you wouldnt like it done to you would you, so yes here we have that lesson given to us once again but with mr j j abrams who gave us lost and cloverfield which many either like or dislike ... i for one liked both

One thing that bothers me is the entire town turns in to a war zone that has no target , they all are just firing in any old direction ( special fx ? ) at least make them have purpose , things are a bit over exaggerated , its like watching a more aggressive ET if you ask me

The film is not bad but it feels like its out of its era and was written in the 80's , could of been done in the 80's and would of been much more appreciated in the 80's but there has been so many films like this now that its nothing new to us any more and mr spielberg you always have young children in your films and still wear that beard , i getting worried about you old man please dont pick up the KFC bucket next because we then have full proof of what u are up to and we all know what happened to mathew kelly dont we.

watch it, make your own decisions these are just my own thoughts , watchable yes. watched before in other movies a hundred times also yes .....

Sleepers was an excellent movie. Early brad pitt and one of his best.
Also, Meet Joe Black is a long but moving film. And i don't think anyone mentioned Old Boy, Another must.
 
JJ Abrams who made Lost & Cloverfield?? Therefore do not watch anything that has that cunts name on it. Mainly because of Lost but he still fucked Cloverfield by showing you the monster, totally ruined the film for me. Lost on the other hand was utter mince, I liked it at first then it just became this never ending cycle of nothingness, things happening but nothing really happening, just padded out garbage to make more money. Lost in 3 seasons would have been great but I completely lost interest in it after a while & gave up watching it because I just got more annoyed after every episode. Pile of shite.
 
I loved it when u just got a sudden glimpse of the monster , that made me like oh fucking holly shit !!!

if we never saw the monster we would of complained we never got to see it... well i would lmao

agree yes first 3 seasons of lost were amazing and if they werent i wouldnt of watched the rest shame they turned it in to some biblical show , i felt tricked in to

Aye Lost sucked me in to the point where I kept watching even though I was hating it because I HAD to know what was actually happening, then eventually I just decided to give up.

While watching Cloverfield I got the impression that you were never going to actually see the monster & quite liked that idea, then when they did show it it was pish. Would have been much better without it, better to just leave it to the imagination unless you're gonna have it running about in full sight for the entire movie.
 
rumor has it they are doing a cloverfield 2 where its an actual movie of what happened rather than a camera view and it will be more from the military side

please not another Battle LA please ffs

Aye, I watched the whole thing last year, started out great but turned into complete dross. Went on for way too long. I cant even remember the ending now it was that shit, all i remember is people going back and forward in time and shit.
 
Well tonight will either be X-men first class or Cowboys Vs Aliens or i might review both , we will see how sleepy i get and if i can be arsed watching 2 films +++

It totally shows u everything that charles and magnito talk about with their past and how the x-men were started and the way the humans and mutants were at first helping each other and then the split between charles and Erik

It sets everything up for the films we have seen already making it a great prequel and you even see one of the newer x-men for a quick seconds that refuses to join them like he does a number of times in the more recent times of the older xmen films , i would say there is a small space for another part of the prequels but i would be more than happy is they leave it the way it is now because after watching that i could pick up with the x-men films that are already out and it would work perfectly but no doubt they will bring out another prequel with this new cast just to milk the franchise as much as they can

Well worth watching, really enjoyed it so if your a fan and would like to see the beginning that shows how everything started between charles, magnito and the x-men although some are there at the end that i dont really know from the other films there are others you will know like mystic and beast , if you want to see how they started out you will enjoy this !
 
What many people have been looking forward to this summer is Cowboys and Aliens and look forward they should as out of the films ive been watching over the past few days this is the winner for sure ,its nice to see some alien action in the past instead of the constant onslaught of alien vs marines in the present or the future where there is an army full of high tech weapons ,in this we have a bunch of cowboys who later team up with some indians so what you get are some pistols and spears vs hi tech alien weaponry all for one person who is Daniel Craig's character who wakes up at the beginning with this wrist band which he has no idea is or how it got there so you start the film with a bit of mystery but lets say it helps even out the battle between the races.

Theres a nice cast too so we get some decent acting for a change and as i said a bit of originality for once which im so happy to see because i get so bored when i see another alien film and its just another skyline, battle la or something along that lines , this is so much better but there is one film i can give slight comparison to which is war of the worlds so think of that throw a few indians, cowboys and of course aliens and thats what you get with so much more !

If i was standing in the cinema trying to decide between super 8, x-men and this i would go see this for sure although x-men comes very close to it as i enjoyed that very much too.

Wrong thread I know, but have you seen The Walking Dead tv show? Fucking best show everrrrrr. No other zombie film or TV program in the entire genre can compete with it; good underlying storylines, awesome zombies, occasional tits, super violence, and pretty much on par with Break Bad in the quality of the acting and the actual show.
