Downloaded El Secreto De Sus Ojos too, will watch it soon.
 
El Secreto De Sus Ojos won best foreign film at the oscars, was watching the BBC News last night and the reporter was saying he was surprised it won because it's a very 'traditional' film. He was prattling on about how only a select few of the people deciding on the winners would have seen all the foreign films in the category so it'd be the old retired people with more time on their hands and with traditional tastes that would have made this the winner.

What are your thoughts on that Liberal and anyone else who's seen it?

I dunno about that, i mean it is traditional in that sense, I heard the director does some CSI episodes as well, so i can see the similarities to the old school detective spiel. I was most impressed with the flow and editing of the movie, technically its superb, and the storyline pulls you in.

Also amazed that Almodovars "Los abrazos rotos " was nowhere to be seen this year, I liked it, then again the Academy is political like that, and Pedro already has his Oscar.

I heard someplace that they didnt submit it cos of Volver being snubbed, so maybe thats the case.

Or he can just get a bunch of blank DVD's and get a copy of " Convert X to DVD"

Better still a cheapo dvd player that plays AVI files, and a USB stick.

I'm on lovefilm because I can't afford an internet connection plus phoneline and thus my means to jack sparrow a film are limited.
Fuck sake I do luckily know of someone who has a list of things he is preparing for me.
I would download, but I can't. Same way all of last year I had a choice of dodgy cunts selling soapbar or atrocious weed, or to buy one of the blends online and know what sort of high I was getting even if the cunts changed names/blends every 6 months.

My world is utter shit. My pc is fucked.

Anyway yesterday I watched 7 dvds. By far the most films I have watched in a day before. Especially since until last week I hadn't even been mentally capable of turning on my TV or DVD player and had kept 2 lovefilm dvds for 3 months.

Moon wasn't anything like as good as I'd expected it to be, but repeat watchings I suppose will be needed.

What is it about you paying for stuff you don't use? You like my mate who's too feart to call up and cancel stuff / speak to people?
 
I've a mate who's paying all sorts of mobile phone line rentals, insurances gym memberships & other stuff because he won't call up to cancel. Doesn't like talking on the phone apparently. What a shitebag.
 
I'm not doing the fanny any favours, what kind of arsehole can't make a simple phone call.

To keep this on topic he has a lovefilm subscription that needs cancelling (probably) and recommends you all watch some good films. ;)
 
you can change the synch of subtitles from within VLC player with the G and H keys on the keyboard like, can be a bit fiddly but it works. Same for out of synch audio and the J and K keys.
