Recommend another good movie per post

^ It sounds as fucking dull as dish water.;)

A bit like that Northern Irish film on BBC 1 last night. Very well acted, with some excellent dialogue, but a bullshit plot. And to me, that's a very fucking important part of a film. 8)
 
Watching La Frontiere de l'Aube at the moment. Interesting stuff, feels a tad student film-y at times with kind of varying sound levels and background noise and choppy editing at some points. Quite intense though, dunno if it's cos I can sort of relate to how the guy feels or whatever. Also the bird in it is well fit.

Got interesting now, kind of unsettling too. Erk.

Edit: Wish my French was slightly more up to scratch than it is as the subtitles are a bit crap.

Aye, but the ubiqutous aul' Jimmy Nesbitt. I see him in town the odd time, he lives in a town nearby and came to my school one day, as he used to attend it. I like him well enough, to be honest.

on another note, ive gone throught this film thread and watched most of the films in it, can anyone recommend me a few great films to download (or rent from the legal video rental store)???
 
I am easily pleased maybe, but it was a good story about obsession and the consequences it can have IMHO. But YMMV ofcourse. :)

American Gangster (2007) by Ridley Scott is a decent movie, worth watching if you like gangster movies but I have seen better from this director really.

You all owe it to yourselves to watch Curse of the Maya (or Day of the Dead or summat was it's other title, the film switched between the two at random).

Fucking dire so it is, but to the point where it's a must-watch just as an example of how many things can go wrong. They should have won some sort of award for the lighting. Seriously made better films in college.

EDIT: Actually... looking at it on IMDB it doesn't appear to be the film of zombie Goodness that I can't remember... One I'm thinking of is the last year or two... memory be arsed...
 
I watched 'I am Legend' the other night. Was really worried cos its a will smith film and he seems to be in a lot of suspect stuff lately but it turned out to be really good.
