As as a fuly paid up member of the anti invisbility club I feel an explanation may be in order. But you can wait for that I have my reasons & I wish to appear mysterious & interesting.


Not really, but it was mooted earlier in another place that some people deliberatly do this ? Why tho ?

Im invisible for the sole reason i don't feel the need to let people know when im online. I lurk through the pages quite often but found when i was VISIBLE i got random pms and when im INvisible i get none :D
 
I am deeply offensive that some people don't have the testicular fortitude to make their presence known. why? i dont know.. it's their choice, it just detract from the community feel of the forum.

I call utter bullshit on the "oh i get random pm's........." Erm, grow some balls and say "please dont PM me anymore." I say it often and am yet to be stalked and murdered as a result.
 
I just went shopping and I started thinking about how I like to browse privately. I like to shuffle through the shopping centre unnoticed, until I need to buy something, or ask a question.

The fact that people can see me is irrelevant, and in fact, if I had my way, they wouldn't be able to. Not because I'm sneaking about or because I'm anti-social or anything like that - just because for my particular purpose at that moment in time, I see it as unnecessary.

Personally I have found certain people who lurk invisible quite regular are also the ones who are awaiting their chance to pounce on particular people they dislike for whatever petty reason it may be. I guess they like to try and catch them unaware, I really don't know. But either way I find it really amusing. And sad.

Also I am guessing they probably spend a large majority of their lives on this thing, as they clearly must lack in having any sort of proper life in the real world, and they don't want it to be known just how often they are online. And for however lengths of time they are on for as well.

Of course the above statement I have made does not apply to moderators. I can understand totally why they use the invisible tool.

I can proudly say I have never once used it, and I never will. No need - I have nothing to hide.

What difference does it make if they're visible or invisible?

There's only written arguments that occur on the internet. It's hardly comparable to physically coming up behind someone and belting them with a sledge-hammer.

Oh well that's the thing, I feel this type of invisible person wouldn't actually even have the balls to confront anyone in person about their problems. They would use the coward way and just bitch behind their back, but if they saw them in person they would just run and hide. Very much like on here. It just comes across to me as a very weak character.

But I am sure there are many other invisible users who actually only do it for the mere fact of hiding their countless visits to bluelight, and to not be noticed as always being online. I guess because they really care about what others think.... hmmm....

Try not to take it too personally dear. I am talking in general. I haven't dropped names. If you are so comfortable with the fact you are always invisible then what others think shouldn't matter. lol

Well of course they wouldn't and shouldn't because I am not a nasty person. I am actually very friendly to those who are decent with me, and to those who aren't, well they aren't worth my time at all. So there is nothing to be scared of with me, you're right with that. :)
 
None of you are invisible. Just thought you should know that =D (*evil cackle*; but I promise only to use my powers for good).
