PHISH: Official summer tour thread

^ lol nice

i understand great music makes the body move involuntarily in odd ways

but if you are a man and you twirl/spin or dance with your hands raised above your head you are a fucking loser

Do Phish Phans Dance??? Oh course we dance! Trying going to a live phish show with a head of L (and maybe some nice rolls) and you can't stop dancing. And then continue dancing the entire night until Sunrise!! :)

Do Phish Phans Dance??? Oh course we dance!
yeah i know

i just wanted to bust chickenscratch's supper hetty goo balls

i really wish phish had a rhythm guitarist i think i would dig them a hell of a lot more

paige is by far my favorite musician in that band, love how he uses the real piano sound and isn't afraid to go lightning fast, chaotic and extremely melodic

free is easily my favorite song of theirs and the one from the brooklyn DVD is one of my all time favorite songs, i've hunted down many different versions, but nothing moves me like that one

that brooklyn show is ok. i'm not a huge fan of 2.0

some of my favorite Free's are 11/22/95, 11/21/98 and 12/29/98.

that song has some fucking balls. love gordo's bass drop.

anyone with plans on going to the alpine valley show at the end of the month? i may end up stuck with an extra tic for the first day. anywho...cant wait. its been almost two years since i've seen them

no...arms crossed...pissed off....worst show ever. sorry you never saw the dead.

from someone who has seen both..and more than one time i can honestly say i enjoy phish shows more and yes...everyone dances like crazy. people do the same at the dead but you also have a lot of older people in the back sitting down in lawn chairs. furthur...if you can stomach the dead without jerry are pretty good...although i dont like the guys voice on shakedown street when they redo it

shake it down shake it down shake it down down down

john k is such a dork, his singing is awful, if he is trying to sound like jerry he's doing an awful job and it's time for him to go away

jeff mattson or stu allen or gtfo

he's a good guitarist...i just dont care for his voice on certain songs. still a fun show...and i still love seeing furthur however i just dont think they are as fun or good actually as phish. improv wise i dont see anyone better than phish but its just my opinion...but again, if anyone else is heading to alpine valley hit me up

and we're off!!!! i couch toured ghost>boogie on>if i could

god dammit, i've been chasing if i could for my entire career. they sounded great last night. woot!

Bill, they play a normal 3 hour/2 set show when headling a festival. I didn't tune it, but it looks like they played a TON of repeats from worcester. Looks like a pretty standard festival show. All reports from my buddies have come back that it was a decent show, with some big moments....again, standard festival show. Although, i'm excited to hear the gambler with Kenny Rogers. and the return of shafty is pretty awesome. i'm expecting big things from the rest of this tour.
