I sent their site to someone I know and he said he thought that the they fizzled out in the eighties.

I sent them an email and they responded. I'm gonna check it out.

I almost scored a deal (for only $60 more too... had to waffle those 5 minutes) on a RTX 3060 8GB but instead opted to buy a RTX 2060 12GB for $490 as the other cheap-ish (if I can say that these days) RTX series card was a 3050 for $400, and from what I can tell even a 6GB 2060 is better than the new 3050. The 3050 would be a fine intro card if it was going for msrp, but since I'm trying to upgrade from an old RX 480 8GB (also so I can switch the RX 480 into media pc to replace a R7 250 2GB and finally run the bluray drive and 4k streaming proper) while still getting more RAM and 'future-proofing' for my gaming PC, I opted for the slightly more pricey 2060.

Very excited to get Metro: Exodus and try to max out the graphics, specs call for a RTX 2060/GTX 1070 on Steam for recommendation so I don't think I'll be able to max it out, but at least it'll look damn good!

Nice man, that's a great deal.

Wish I had a sick GPU. Not that I'd ever really use it, but it's nice to have the option =D I'm incredibly tempted to start nerding out again with some Hearts of Iron 3 Black Ice though 🤓🤓

The only video games I've played in the last 15 years are SNES games on an emulator. But I think my graphics card must suck because the graphics are awful

It should have been hundreds cheaper for a 3000 series card... but these are the times we live in. Wife was sick of how much I've been spending on ammo for range days so she thought it was better if I spent my money on games that are cheaper and can moderately simulate shooting.

I've bought Dying Light (it's on sale, yay) and been trialing that. The ol' RX480 holds up well enough but it's sweating. Can't max out graphics on 2015 era games. Excited to do that finally. It'll be about the same as having a Xbox Series X currently I figure.

My favourite game ever was Ultima IV did anyone else play that back in the ancient times? The design of the game was really cool, it was a very open world with a non-linear plot that had all these symmetries in terms of the game scheme, quite beautifully contrived.

I find it interesting that they can still fund their 1999-esque web page lol. I've known about the Temple of Inner Light ever since my first trip down Erowid's DPT page. Thought they were gone a decade ago.
Holy smokes I would not have expected they were still around either. That website is amazing. I love finding really old websites like that, relics from the past. It even says "Under construction", amazing.

Switching to Seroquel IR and an almost negligent dose of XR, let's pray I tolerate it well 🙏

In theory quality of life should drastically increase
The difference between the two is significant. My psychiatrist would always give me IR and 50 mg at night led to perfectly blissful sleep and a bright and sparky morning the next day.

Once I asked another doctor for a script and eidn’t specify I wanted IR so she gave me XR. The very same dose of 50 mg XR and I could not get to sleep at all and was a zombie most of the next days

Yeah I've been on 300mg XR for a couple months now, it stabilizes me really well but it just ruins all my nights ánd mornings. I deeply loathe everything about Seroquel but it works so....

It's just a zombifying drug but you get used to it, which is exactly what the problem is =D

I think your graphics card is fine - a potato could run a SNES emulator these days.

There's a lot that impacts the experience when emulating old games. The display that you're using (not a tiny CRT like in the old days) is a big one. The image isn't being stretched to fill on your display, is it?

Oh hey, how's it going?

I was trying to make a joke, is there a "deadpan" emoji?

Spilling toothpaste on your shirt or sweater in the morning must be one of the worst ways to start a day, what a pain, especially when in a hurry.

This happens to me way too much

It beats oversleeping until almost noon when you're supposed to start working at 8:30, and missing a meeting completely. That was me today :cautious: And I can't shake the feeling of being extremely tired.

yeah throws my whole day off. I have band practice after work too. Fortunately, as I am a purely development role now, it is so easy to fudge my time. An unproductive day here and there is fine because I'm wildly ahead of expectations already.

Have you messed with Snes9x's scaling filters under display preferences? Makes the retro graphics pleasing on modern monitors.
