Bluuberry, thanks for the words and tips.
I have been gargling salt water, which helps. My strep test came back negative, which is good, but something is going on in there. The doctor told me that in 80% of the cases where a man comes in describing a swollen uvula, it's after a heavy night if drinking (and other dehydrating drugs I presume though he did not mention those specifically), and then intense snoring all night. I know I tend to snore when I sleep on my back, and that night I passed out om the couch on my back, No idea if I snored or not but my girlfriend tells me I sometimes do if I lay on my back. And he said because of the irritation of it, people who are prone to canker sores will get them after that, So it's good I don't have strep, but at least the antibiotics he gave me "just in case" would have made it go away in like 2 days. Canker sores that get constantly agitated take a lot longer to fade, and apparently caused by some COX virus that only some people seem prone to... and I have to eat.
Oh well, first world problems.
