OPIOD FIENDs hate ALCOHOL??

Wow, another wine with food guy, I thought I was alone.

I like to drink fortified wines(wines with 15% abv or above) with evening dinner, helps the food digest. I have recently quick drinking though.
 
Personally I can't afford to build up a massive opiate tolerance or I would be paying like 200 bucks a day just to feel normal. On the days I'm not using opiates I drink a few beers. Of course it doesn't compare to to the opiate high, but it's much cheaper.
 
i know personally i have said many times that alcohol isnt even in the same ballpark as opiates.

never drink when easing off opiates, - hung over, plus easing off opiates = incredible headache when you wake up

i guess i enjoy drinking sometimes, but yeah, generally speaking, alcohol is completely worthless by comparison and i could easily go the remainder of my life without a drop if i had unlimited opiates to use
 
UGGH, with me when im coming off of an OPIOD habit, one of the LAST things on my mind is drinking ALCOHOL to kill some of the anxiety or whatever..my stomach is usually upset from the DTWDLSs, much less if i drank up a crapload of alcohol..

never understood the whole WINE drinking phenomena..not my thing..

same thing happens to me. I used to smoke rather frequently, but stopped about a year ago because the anxiety was getting really rough. I smoked with some friends about a month ago and had a serious panic attack, which resulted in violent shaking and vomiting. Strange how I do higher doses of "heavier" drugs but don't feel anything remotely close to that kind of anxiety. So now I'm the only one who has to pass in my constantly smoke-filled condo... 'tis okay, though...i've got other ways to spend my time (and mind)

But, yes, opiates definitely made me lose interest in alcohol. I switched from drinking 4 or 5 times a week and using once a week, to using 4 or 5 times a week and drinking maybe once every two or three weeks. I find I don't like being drunk as much (not to mention the terrible drunken insomnia I get, probably from mild withdrawal) and I find I'd much rather pop a few pills of some sort and be social at a party than to be drunk and belligerant.

not sure i follow your logic here?

Most ppl seem to assume drinking means getting drunk. In the morning i take 100mg of 'done tabs. When i get home I drink half bottle of wine with dinner (like lots of french and italians i know do also), i dont even feel it. it certainly doesnt seem to make me stoned or anything. Now i wouldnt get pissed on it cuz i dont like being drunk anyway.

I like alcohol and I love opiates..

Now that I think about it.. I just love to get fucked up. Alcohol is more available, cheaper, and (for me) less addictive.

I can get WASTED with $5 on alcohol... If I'm gonna indulge in opiates, it's typical for me to blow $50 in one night.
 
I've been doing opiates/opioids for years but only have gotten very heavily into them recently, and since have bearly been able to get more than 1 or 2 beers or shots in without getting a sick feeling from drinking. I used to drink a couple times a week but now I just have no desire to drink anymore than a little bit once in a while. You drink and drink and then it's easier to get more down and you drink more and then that's when someone says "hey do you want to smoke some weed" and of course I never turn anything free down and get sick as fuck. I hate that feeling of wanting to puke and you can't move without being sick. I'd rather do opiates. maybe a beer or two with it. if I'm not on anything then I probably won't drink. so yes I'd say I've grown to dislike alcohol possibly as a result of opiates.
 
I agree with most on the fact that Heroin has ruined me on most drugs such as pot,lesser painkillers(of course),hallucinagens and many other drugs.But I like both H and booze also the ocasional E buzz.Everytime I go on methadone maintenence alcohol is my drug of choice.When I'm not on any kinda maintenence H is numero uno but once i have a high tolerance to dope I like to drink some liquor before each shot.I know it's stupid and dangerous but I've come to know my body when it comes to this combination and have found what I can handle and can't.Don't get me wrong I won't drink before a shot of dope I'm not famillar with.If it's a new stamp I will test it out and go from there.The testing happens even if i don't have alcohol because I've been using long enough to know if I'm shooting 5 bags at once of a certain dope doesn't mean I can handle the same amount of another kind of shit.
Anyway I like booze and opiates and even enjoy the mix!

Actually...

Sure dont want to steer this thread away from its intended topic but you could just as easily overdose on the same stamp you have shot everyday for a month.Theres very little quality control in the game.In fact,the same thing happened to me twice before I learned my lesson.
 
Alcohol is just no comparison to opiates - once you've had the best, you don't want the rest ;)

Bar a bottle of wine with a meal.

Yeah you are absolutely right but I trust the dude I've been buying from. For a little over 10 years off and on he's my only dealer but it'd be naive of me to sit here and say that it's not possible for an occasional hot shot to slip into his stash.i guess it's blind faith/stupidity.
 
I'm like K'dinAZ...I used to drink alot w/ my killas and all other pills but since like 98, I rarely mix them bc alcohol screws up my killa buzz
 
I dunno, I prefer mixing the two although I can certainly see the dangers.

Also, I don't shoot, perhaps thats a factor?
 
the other day I killed a gram of good dope (from about 10am till midnight).....I went to a party at about 7pm that day and proceeded to drink about 8 beers until midnight, when both my alcohol and dope ran out......I felt great all night (I nodded thru a chunk of it)....can't say the same for the next mornin' tho....and my dealer was gone so I couldn't get a morning blast......oh well.....I feel fine now.....back to work.....:)
 
Amazing, I thought that I was alone in the fact that I don't like drinking anymore since I started taking hydros and oxys. In fact I can't stand it. I have a really hard time sleeping after drinking now. I wonder if that has something to do with the opiates?
 
I would by no means call myself an opiate feind, but I chooose not to mix the two because of the safty issues. It's easy to lose judgement and have one too many drinks or pills then end up dead. Don't want to pull a hendrix on you guys. I'd rather stick one at a time, the few times I have mixed I was definitly worried about my health and breathing rate. Besides, cannabis is always a welcome companion on any opiate journy ~ alcohol can stay at home.
