i had as good of a time as i think could have been had at that event. i spun at 6:30am on the main stage on Saturday morning and while there was only a dozen or so people listening (that i could see, everyone else was hanging out by their tents), it was still a blessing to be able to play some of my favorite techno & trance classics under the rising sun. it was a beautiful venue and i was in the best place to be, doing what i love to do. to those that know me, it may be pretty surprising to hear that i played even one trance track, but i have some classic favorites from the early 90's, and what better place to play them that at sunrise outside?
i'm glad the URU soundsystem survived the weekend (big ups to Shinma and Jimme Cathexis for keeping it alive) and it was fun sharing a smoke with Jeremiah and Kaz up on stage while Orbital's "Halcyon" played out all 12 minutes of its supreme sonic bliss. Thank you to Kellay and Ryan Mack for the herbal hospitality and cold drinks!
I really wish that more folks had come to this, as my main motivation in playing this was to hang out w/ all my scene buddies from around ohio, and most of them didn't show up. However, Simone and I had a great time lounging out and chatting with Rob Rage & his friend in their van, early that morning after my set. Shinma's set was playing in the background and it was soooo tight.

We all went to this trashy little diner for breakfast on the way back to Cbus, and all these old-ass crackers kept staring at us.

Aaron (Glasshopper) where were you Friday night / Sat morning, man?
