i didn't realize avery was the whole team. :| and he doesn't "pwn" kovulchuck, after getting bloodied up the other night....if anything, he was the one who got his ass handed to him on home ice.
 
we will see about that. btw, atlanta coach bob hartley is a really great guy. i went to one of his hockey training camps one year and had the oppourtunity to skate with him. he is such a nice guy, not full of hiself or anything. he has a great knowledge of the game as well

congrats on your team's sweep though btw. i was kinda pullin for the thrashers to be honest with ya, but i dont have anything against NYR other than the fact that jagr is kind of a baby. i like him and all, but man is he high maintenance.

pens dropped the ball tonight as well. ottawa and NYR have both advanced to the second round. i fully expect vancouver to win tonight and i'd kinda like to see minnesota pull of a miracle come from behind to win the series. ill probably be cheering for anaheim in the second round though if they dont. i just have a soft spot for the wild (mostly for backstrom).
 
Anyone see the ducks game last night? Pretty crazy, Parros getting into it during warm ups with Boogard. God damn I would not fuck with that monster.

Vancouver sure shot themselves in the foot last night too, what a stupid penalty to take in OT.

appreciate the respects.....FWIW of course i wanted my team to win, but the rangers just out-played us and were just faster and more athletic offensively than we were defensively. and hey if they end up winning it all, at least we can say we lost to the champs right? :D

the anaheim and wild game got ridiculous in the 2nd period. head hunters were on patrol and crucial plays unfolded. niklas backstrom played WONDERFULLY but in the end it was his crew in front of him that lost the game. not that they played terribly, the just werent givin him a lot of help.

congrats to the ducks!
 
i'm so pissed the wings blew a 2-0 series lead. these last two games they've looked exactly like they looked when they ducked out to anaheim/calgary/edmonton in the three previous years. hopefully they can step their power play up and get some production from their first line. zetterberg needs to wake up.
 
I went to game 4 of the flames v.s wings in calgary last night it was fuckin jammmmmeeeddd booiiiii

flames won 3-2 and i watched chelios get rocked right in front of me fuckin ehh!! GO FLAMES GO!! and red mile after the game was fuckin packed!

side note: i am not a flames fan im actually a leafs fan but I live in calgary so I give my 100% support so i suppose you could say my 2nd fav team.

sweet video! it really gives you a feel for how the sea of red is in person. that was draper, btw, who got crushed behind the flames' net. looks like you had a good time brosef! niiiiiiiiiiiice!
 
oh it was a great time, I know youre a somewhat red wings fan, it isnt like i hate them, my old man is in fact a hardcore wings fan, i just hate chelios and hasek! dont ask why, but I do.

So you say you might be headin to Edmonton some day? if you EVER get the chance to be in calgary and go to a flames game i recommend it.... supposibly, the flames and leafs games are the most entertaining live games to be in the NHL.

I had a lot of fun that night, i will get some pictures up soon, today was a rough day at work being up all night to go to that game but it was well worth it.

P.S. IAM SO GLAD THIS THREAD EXISTS! ITS ABOUT TIME BLUELIGHT! it is about time

wtf, was it free shirt giveaway night or something, christ! haha... calgary IS a supportive fan base thats for sure! looks like you guys had fun!!!

btw, its ok, OBVIOUSLY im more of a jackets fan, the habs have slowly but surely taken my #2 spot, detroit would be 3... after that its up for grabs, though after watching the series between the ducks and wild, ive kinda developed a soft spot for the wild. besides that, im a HUGE fan of niklas backstrom. congrats to your boys on tying the series up btw, i havent watch todays game yet cause i was working, i had to call my dad and have him tape it so im pretty pumped for it. i JUST bought a dvd recorder today also so that i dont have to tape the games any more, from now on i can record them from my tv to dvds. next season im going to record and catalogue every jackets game so that i can be their eyes off the ice. ;) hehehe
