official NHL 06-07 thread! (free agent signings updated on page 11)

hell no you arent! if theres anything the jackets can do, its beat the good teams! like i said, we beat the top tier and practically forfeit to the bottom feeders! game four of our ducks v jackets series shall commence and the jackets shall come out of it smelling like a rose. ;)
 
man.. looks like the wings are gonna take first overall. and being a wing fan i should be happy about that.. but i'm not. i'd much rather see the dallas stars, than the calgary flames in the first round. plus, the presidents trophy is a freakin curse.

i'm prepared for another first round upset. especially if zetterberg doesn't make it back.

thats exactly right. and if anyone knows, its you wings fans hehe. eliminated in the first round by the oilers who tanked this year and didnt even come NEAR the playoffs. kevin lowe should have known better than to dump smyth, with all his garbage goals and screening the oilers had something, as soon as they dumped him to NYI the oilers crashed and burned. you can bet the oilers organization regrets that one!
 
just wanna give a big ol' shout-out to my atlanta thrashers! we're in...goin for the cup...first time in our short franchise history. now if only the city would show a little enthusiasm......:\

yeah what a shitty game. looked real good first 12 mins or so of 1st period (scored in first 1:30), no clue where we were 2nd period, and an electrifying yet disappointing end to the match.

rest assurred...we'll trounce carolina tonight and would be lovely if the same happened to you! ;) if not, well, tomorrow night will be huge. :)

doesn't help that they got rid of Pronger too. isn't it pathetic that the two teams that went to the cup finals last year aren't going to make the playoffs? has that ever happened before?

And at the beginning of the season, some people were complaining about too many division games!

What do I care if I don't get to see the Phoenix Coyotes? Games like the Lightning vs. the Thrashers ON THE FINAL NIGHT of the season for the DIVISION TITLE are WAY better!

dont forget there are 5 games sunday though! but besides that... you think thats gonna be a good game!? what about the leafs and the habs on the final saturday night of the season! old time rivals, habs in 8th in the east with 90 points and leafs in 9th with 89! unless the isles win out (i can see them beating philly, but good luck against the NJ trap on sunday) which would put them ahead of both toronto AND montreal. the NYI game is at 1:00 pm ET tomorrow, should they lose to philly... the leafs/habs game at 7:00 will be one of the biggest games of the entire season (playoffs included). a couple of habs fans have already said that they'll bet money that this game will have higher ratings than would a game 7 of the stanley cup finals this year unless of course the habs are IN that game 7.

what an ending to the regular season! =D
 
Hey Ryan sorry to say this but Sat night your team has to lose. Its a must win for our team and we want to win the Division. We blew it agaisnt Dallas tonight but its a must win tomorrow. If not Im going to need some major drugs to help me. HAHA Should be a fun one and like you said what an ending to the regular season.
 
hey, sorry to say, but the jackets WONT lose because we dont have any more games TO lose. we're not allowed to end on a bad note whereas your ducks can lose 3 out of every 7 games after tomorrow night and still win the cup. jerk! ;)

good thing teemu got busted on the illegal stick before the playoffs eh? ;)
 
Yea we might win the cup(dont want to jinx it)....but as of right now ur Jackets are in the way of us getting the Division Title so sorry to say this but ur jacks are toast. About that Teemu thing well F-That. Hes still an awesome player! And i know for sure that his goals and pts werent a fluke this season cause of the stick(im hearing that a lot now) Im sure that the majority of players play with an illegal stick. And besides Selanne had a goal tonight so a fluke?? I think not. I wish your team the best. Its going to be a good one.

By the way are you going to root for any team that are in the playoffs?
 
^ i definitely dont think teemus points are flukes either, hes awesome, and i assure you that youre right about the fact that a ton of players probably use illegal sticks. BUT... unfortunately the ducks WILL lose tonight so you may as well stop arguing that fact. ;)

and let me put it this way, im DESPERATELY hoping that montreal makes it because if they do, then that is who im rooting for. theyve become my next favorite team behind the worlds greatest team, the jackets. then i would have to say either pittsburgh or detroit next. though i shouldnt say this because one of my friends is a HUGE wings fan and was born in detroit and grew up there most of his life, i might actually even be pullin a little more for the pens. :)
 
In a few hrs we will see :) I'm rooting for the Pens in the East cause I love there style. They play so recklessly and such an open game. Sid the Kid is the real thing. Dont know much about Montreal so cant say anything there. Det. well dont get me started on them. HEHE
 
Well apparently a Leafs win will allow the Isles to play for the last spot tomorrow afternoon (vs. Devils), so go Leafs?
 
i'd like to see the isles win today just to send a big FU to the leafs. ;)

i would definitely not mind the pens winning the cup now though, and detroit wouldnt disappoint me either if they did. so a pens v wings cup finals would be pretty awesome.

btw, philly just beat buffalo 4-3!

oh and ANOTHER btw... i hate you euphoria. :D the jackets played a good game last night, but the ducks just put it to em early. what a chippy game though. i was REALLY surprised to see scotty get THAT upset! i can understand from the hit by nash, but i think nash just had too much momentum, i dont think he went crashin the boards with the intent on a hard hit on neidermayer, i think he just kinda went crashing into him while hoping to wheel around the net. something that manny said though pissed him off bad cause neidermayer and malhotra both took trips to the locker room. im curious as to what was said.

good game though nonetheless and good luck in the playoffs! :)
