If you are using yahoo for your email associated with BL I'd suggest going to UserCP and putting in another email address from another provider. If you don't have another making a gmail account is pretty quick and easy. I haven't known gmail to disappear Bluelight emails as Yahoo can. No one knows why yahoo works for some people with BL but is often a problem with others. Bluelight has no preference about who you use for mail but some email servicesw have just proven less Bluelight friendly.

You're using Yahoo an interesting email server, and still awaiting confirmation (clicking the email the server sends you). You may need to check the settings on your email server :\

I've manually resent your activation email.
 
Have you responded to a Bluelight confirmation message that went to to the email you registered with? If so You are an activated Greenlighter. Then you are able to respond to threads and start threads in most forums. You can PM staff and receive PM from them, but being able to PM any member and post in the area called the loung will take til you have gotten to Bluuelighter status. That usually happens within a day usually faster. Since your on your 6th post I;m assuming it is going pretty well atm. Everythings working OK?

Need admin help

I think that I missed my confirmation email.when I log on it says that my account is not yet activated yet. If someone could help me fix this problem out would be fantastic I have budgeted this forum often over the last few months and anxious to stary posting thnx ps. Can u also send a reply to my email, most appreciated

dont have a frikn clue

Im not at all good with the whole computer stuff,i cant seem to get my account activated,i have no clue.im comin off suboxone and just tryn to get a little support
 
You activate your account by clicking on the link in the email you should have received from Bluelight. Be sure to check your spam folder as well, especially if you have a yahoo address. Also be sure that you have the correct email listed on your account here. If you need to have the email resent, you can use this link http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/register.php?do=requestemail :) Hope that helps.

keep tryin 2get a activation e mail 4 sum reason its nt sendin it 2 me i joind 5 days ago but i cant post any help please:!:!:X im still a greenlighter after 5 days get a flashin banner sayin account not activated aaaaaaaaarrrrrgggghhhh

Welcome to Bluelight shellnant! Have you checked your spam, bulk, or other folders where an email filtered by your settings or your email provider might filter some emails to? Occasionally nothing has worked with some email providers and a member has found the most workable solution to been to utilize a different email provider with Bluelight. You just enter the new email with your password @ this part of your userCP http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/profile.php?do=editpassword I have not heard of any problems with gmail and BL emails. Yahoo is notorious for losing some BL emails for reasons unknown. Most email providers are compatible with BL and BL doesn't have a preference as to what you use. Its just been noticed yahoo disappears activation emails fairly often.
 
I can't post in the lounge forum. Is this b/c I'm still a greenlighter?
 
^lol it took me like a week or more to reach 50 posts.

I found out something interesting. Apparently our website is not the only one yahoo likes to block. I'm part of another website (just clothing, nothing even questionable like our topic here) and they were saying yahoo blocks their emails a lot too. What I find really odd though is that it only seems to happen for some people. I have a yahoo address and (to my knowledge) have never had any problem with it blocking messages from Bluelight, but I know tons of people have.

All 3 of you are still awaiting confirmation of your account = YOU have to click the link in the email the server sent to you. Only yeggman is using yahoo, which we know often misdirects our emails :\.

I've manually resent the activation emails to all 3 of you -check for them, open them and click in them, get to postin' and welcome to BL.
 
Welcome to Bluelight Altmed :) Site registration emails all over the web vary between instant to several hours for me. I think if repeated good efforts(checking inbox and other folders the email may have gone to have failed) it is likely best to try another email service.

Double checking for typos or other problems never hurts but sometimes our best efforts fail and we just have to try another way. Hi,

I hope this is helpful... I had registered with a Yahoo based email address & I never received an email for registration... I changed my email address to a free email service & now it seems to work fine. I received my email in just a minute or two!

I dunno where the emails to my other account went (@att.net, prodigy & several others are all being apparently managed by Yahoo! now & yes, our email has been pretty sucky... in fact my connection speed sucks now too... I'll be changing services if this keeps up any longer... Customer service isn't great either...) I get tons of spam that comes through just fine, but when I need something, it does that a lot since Yahoo took over the mail servers.

Anyhow, you might give that a try... it only takes a few minutest to set up a free email account, either on gmail or hotmail & you'll be up & running in no time!

Look around for the appropriate forum and threads. Most are pretty straight forward. There is also the search engine, which is useful. If you cant find exactly what you are looking for, even though you are pretty sure you've looked in all the right places, you can go ahead and start a new thread in the appropriate forum.
