I have an ex-girlfriend who lives in Lisbon who I visited last, erm, three summers ago? The roads were vastly improved in Lisbon and everybody was driving new cars, albeit on credit they can't pay back. The cost of living in Estoril was comparable to London.

I never said it was harmless, I pointed out the large safety margin compared to the majority of shitty (un)researched chemicals out there.

I can hit the pub Friday Saturday night with hard intent and do less damage than a solid two days on mdvp for instance. Alcohol causes problems for some people sure, but to kill yourself in a night requires a lot more effort than what can occur in with a gram of crystals from china
 
Portugal has also had issues with corruption within its government. I think it's better to consider the drug policy in isolation from the economic issues, unless you want to consider all the other variables which affect the economy, in which case (and frankly, can they anyway please?) it would be better to split this discussion to a new thread.

Your experiences are your own... but this is pure drivel. To be fair, so is everything else you've said in this thread so bonus points for consistent idiocy (or disingenuous trolling bullshit - always so hard to tell with you).

As what can only realistically be described as a longterm, hardcore MDPV addict, you are 100% backwards on your descriptions there. Then again, that's only me... and the 0% MDPV deaths that have come to light over many years of (very) extreme (ab)use. Don't get me wrong, the stuff is fekkin brutal and will destroy the lives of perhaps most people who indulge in a big way over time... until they stop (and beyond that nobody knows).

In contrast, people die every weekend at A+E units around the land from acute alcohol intoxication. Almost exclusively under 40s (to go by your entirely arbitrary cutoff point). Then there's the 4-6-digit deaths from overall alcohol use in the UK per year. Obviously scales of use are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay different but 0:xxxxxx is a big fukkin difference no matter what.

It's hard to know what to think of you. Are you simply a troll posting bollocks to rile people who know better (and can back it up)? Or are you actually a bit "special". Or are you simply a bellend? Genuinely hard to tell which applies but one of these clearly does.
 
How much alcohol does it take to end up in hospital? At least a litre of spirits and even then most people will usual vomit or shit themselves and pass out well before that. Compare that to 1000mg of Nbome-25, which is the most common dose churned out by vendors, which results in plenty of emergency visits with far more dangerous cardio vascular side effects.

Lets sit down tonight. I'll have a bottle of whiskey, you can have a gram of Jackson 5's ABC. Who should be more nervous? Myself, with a food that has a proven dose curve for the past 10 000 years, or you? More often or not I'd spew before the bottom of the bottle and wake up with a hangover from hell. I wouldn't be the one needing a trip sitter or suddenly fighting anxiety as soon as my heart rate bounces towards 200bpm.

Alcohol is very much self limiting. I have been drunk more times than I care to remember and have never felt the need to get in a fight, drive a car or start seeing shadow people.

It might be tougher for agoraphobes than Royal mail but at the same time if I'm not happy with their product they are not able to hide behind the anonymity of the internet either.

no-one's saying rc's are superior to "real drugs", it's just this ban is a step backwards. do you still think weed should be illegal? surely not....and if more tolerance was given to drugs like weed, mdma, lsd, mushrooms, nos and other fairly safe drugs with little addiction potential, there'd be no market for crazy shit like spice and benzo fury and phenazepam etc. banning everything isn't the way and you totally know it!

The last doof I was at I had just finished skinning up a spliff and was stretching my legs when two pretty French girls wandered by. I gave them a wink and had a chat, and found out they were performing a fire twirling act later that evening. They accepted an invite to join us for dinner and while we sat around our camp sharing said spliff one of them produced a gram of ketamine and offers of other illicit goodies. They day I turn down two pretty French girls is the day I finally lose my mind. It's as silly as arguing that cannabis is a gateway drug.

Bezos should be regulated for good reason. All this hand wringing about people about to face nasty withdrawal is ignoring the very reason why they need to be professionally administered. Self medication is foolish. Even doctors are not permitted to prescribe valiums to themselves. There are strict professional rules that are in place to ensure even educated individuals are not open to addiction and abuse of these drugs. Prescription patterns and regulation by professional bodies are in place to limit the nasty side effects. How the hell can any one can argue that inferior versions of this class of drugs should be free to the general public?
