Benzos are way less damaging to both health and in general than alcohol , yet ones regulated n one isnt ?
 
Some of us are not fortunate enough to live in a fantasy world surrounded by drug dealers to the affluent. Some of us live in small towns flooded with smack and crack and no longer wish to associate with the type of people who sell drugs. Some of us don't have the money to invest in bitcoins to source off the daeknet. For some of us, RCs can provide a relief from a 9 to 5 existence which could rapidly descend into severe alcoholism if it wasn't for these distractions. I would much rather stick to the good old tried and tested chemicals, but for some of us it's just not possible.

My (ex) girlfriend who is an (ex) heroin addict lives right on top of a square in Estoril where dealers used to deal from. It's how she became an addict before moving to the UK to get away from them. She went back to Lisbon when the dealers had left. Lisbon is really not what you paint it as and you are talking about it in terms which suggest to me you have never been there, rather you are making shit up because it suits the ridiculous point you are failing to make.

Let's get this straight. You've talked shit about alcohol and have been called out on it. Same for benzos where you said they came to the UK in the 1950's and are all gone now. Ten years and a million addictions out. Close eh? Then you moved on to economics, talked shit, and were called out on your shit. Now Lisbon in particular, make up some shit, get called out by someone with more experience than you.

That's actually pretty good. A wise man would be learning from his mistakes. You've made a whole bunch of mistakes here. So you're catching up fast right? Right?

I never said it was harmless, I pointed out the large safety margin compared to the majority of shitty (un)researched chemicals out there.

I can hit the pub Friday Saturday night with hard intent and do less damage than a solid two days on mdvp for instance. Alcohol causes problems for some people sure, but to kill yourself in a night requires a lot more effort than what can occur in with a gram of crystals from china

How do you know that? I have taken MDPV on many occassions & although I may now feel it to be the devils own stimulant, a single solid nights drinking would almost definitely do more physical & emotional harm to me than entire 48 hours on MDPV. I guess if you had never taken MDPV you'd have little idea of what you're talking about.

I've spent 30 years immersed within the UK drugs scene & I have been analysing the harms associated with drugs the entire time. 30 years of examining the harms of drugs is like doing a whole bunch of PHD's back-to-back... I'm not just out there getting wasted, I talk to people, I examine how I'm feeling & what's said later, sober. I know what I talking about, I'm an expert. Are you?

With my experitise I know of no drug apart perhaps from crack or meth that produce the degree of harms associated with alcohol. A life-long heroin habit would be healthier than a life-time of alcoholism.

You are like a mouth-piece for the establishment, you are! Drink, don't do drugs? You got shares in Carlsberg or something?

I spent 2+ years caining MDPV with a seriously heavy daily habit and after being medically examined, xrayed and echocardiogram there is absolutely no sign of any structural damage to my heart or other pathology associated with stimulant abuse.

MDPV was specifically designed by the patent owners to be much much physiologically safer than pyrovalerone inteself, the LD50 is so ridiculously high most people refrained from mentioning it on here because it would have only encouraged people to go over the top with it.

I concur with what Si Dread has said above.

Also, liver damage can occur so quickly in alcohol abuse because the metabolic pathway becomes saturated very quickly, after a surprisingly few drinks of beer it is no longer being metabolized and is then building up in your bloodtream exponentionally as you drink more. This is what leads to acute alcohol poisoning and also why you can have a few beers, wake up the next day and still be over the legal limit to drive.

Alcohol is actively promoted in this country with aggressive marketing tactics from producers and suppliers and venues, there are meager warnings like 'drink responsibly' on the bottles when they should have pictures of chirrotic livers and 25 year olds who look 50 from alcoholism.

Alcohol is arguably a gateway drug. To cigarette smoking, to the attitude of 'hrm if this is legal and socially acceptable, I wonder what the proper illegal drugs are like?' etc.

It also has severe negative effects on peoples mood in the short to medium term, ever been to a club on MDMA and noticed how almost everyone sticking to drinking looks like a morose sourface cunt with the potential to erupt into violence at any moment?

Around where I live half the town looks likey should be in hospital because of what the drinking and smoking and general pub culture does to their faces and demeanour.


In the UK, 'alcoholics' are the ones that look dishevelled with a week day old beard and smell of piss, sitting outside the betting shop with a dog on a string though' at least thats what british people think - All the happy alcoholics just consider it normal and abit of fun to get absolutely wrecked at every opportunity, then go into work hungover after slapping their wife or someone else about a bit when they get home from the pub if they managed to not get arrested or kill someone in their car.

I rarely visit my local town centre after dark. A perfectly safe & friendly middle class shopping centre becomes a puke & wanker strewn shit-hole after dark. On a sojourn into town one evening a few weeks ago, the first in many years, to take a visiting Kiwi mate to dinner, I was reminded why. Drunken brawls, public sexual harassment & alcohol fuelled general xenophobia combined with an otherwise inexplicable undercurrent of the threat of violence permeated the place. My Kiwi mate was compelled to ask if it was always like this but I reminded him that because I suspected it was, I rarely bothered coming out at night, so I wouldn't know.

We sat in a cheap cafe & ate fish n chips while the Turkish cook/owner regaled us with horror stories of his drunken patrons, fresh scenarios of which he was expecting to endure again later that evening. I kinda wish I'd taken my mate for a pizza & sat in the Park or something, I'm not sure he got the best impression. He certainly got the right one though.

I didn't smell no weed nor meph about so I'm putting the bad vibes down to booze.

The liver is an amazing organ that repairs itself very quickly - but booze also fucks up everything else, kidneys, stomache, brain etc etc. My drinking days are behind me now apart from the the bottle of JD a day natch

Oh and OTW, you young man really are an arse of monumental proportions - I never normally bother reading threads that are argumentative but the complete nonsense that you spout like a stream of consciousness warrents comment. Do you consider yourself a troll or do you believe what you post? If the first then i pity you as you must live an empty anhedonic existence as is the case for most shit stirrers. If the second then maybe read a book or two as your knowledge on just about everything you post is severely lacking and in most cases laughably inaccurate.

This talk of Portugal's economy and my ex-girlfriend (who was Portuguese) has me thinking. I've had two other non-UK girlfriends and they were from Ireland and Greece. I just need a Spanish one now to complete the PIGS (fucked economies, look it up) set.

As a drug user believing in the liberalization of drug policies I blame myself for the economic crisis in Europe. Or maybe I blame my ex-girlfriends. I really don't fucking know anymore, OTW has screwed with my brain.

I've met some tough guys, but none who are so tough they wouldn't welcome not having to deal with typical drug trade on a regular basis, and there's no sane person in the world that wouldn't.

But if you just mean to say you're just a recreational user who only takes what you're offered by good friends, of course you won't have any problems.

Ismene I know you mean well but this is exactly what killed my best friend.

There's a world of difference between your drugs and the drugs of a benzo user which may involve heroin too.
