NHL 2010-2011 season

At least they aren't owned by Disney anymore, lol. They were pretty awful the majority of time back in those days...I don't think they were getting half of the funding they needed to be a good team back then (i.e. the NY Islanders).

Case in point: the year after Disney sold the team they went on to win a Stanley Cup ('06-'07 season), heh.

Although I do miss watching Paul Kariya and Teemu Selanne play together....

I'm also a Kings fan and it was nice to see them win in a shootout against the Sharks last night, especially after they let the Sharks score twice in 40 seconds during the second period.

Hopefully they can move out of last place in the Pacific Division :\

They were certainly a fun tandem to watch. I also loved their goalie from
years past, Guy Hebert. I just loved saying/hearing it pronounced a-bear.

My love for the Mighty Ducks was helped along by the movies of course and the fact that I played mite hockey for a team called the Might Ducks lol. The whole team loved the movies obviously, we were so into it, we were such losers lol.

The Ducks are still my secondary team I like to root for once the Devils get eliminated in the playoffs or if I happen to up real late, I like to catch a few of their games a year on the TV.
 
watching hockey in HD is too good

i was watching devils-red wings a few days ago and was blown away by the quality of the game. made me want to watch more top-level hockey!
 
This thread has been way too quiet lately. My Devils are hot right now. Gotta believe in the miracle run!! If they can make the 8th seed, it'll be one of the greatest runs in sports history and they'll be dangerous coming into the playoffs that hot.

I think I'll be going to the Stanley Cup Finals again. :) Unfortunately I was at game 6 last year.....
 
Kings owned the Caps this afternoon, 4-1 :D Fun game to watch (unless you're a Caps fan).

Western Conference is really tight, going to be really interesting to watch in the next couple of months as playoffs near and everyone is fighting to get/hold their spot.

That may be, but I can look back and cherish the 3 cups my teams has in my lifetime. I feel you're pain on that game 6 though, I remember in 2000, I was at game 5. Tough to lose in triple OT 1-0. I guess winning the cup makes up for it though, right? :)

Damn, I really cant believe how much the devils turned this season the fuck around. If they can keep this shit up, it will be one of the best comebacks I ever seen for sure. I dont wanna get too optimistic but damn it feels good to watch them, they really on a fuckin roll.

I also get a kick outa puttin my kid in his Devils onesie for games:) This winnin streak put the fun back into watchin em again.
 
its like a movie lately....every game they do it again..I keep waiting for them to fail and fuck up real bad but they just cant seem to be stopped, I really cant believe it. The way they closed up that gap is just nutz. Earlier this week they were IIRC 8 points out of the playoffs. This is from over 20 pts not more than a few months ago. I remember them askin the players about it and them bein like yo we aint even talkin about the playoffs, that aint even real to us right now, ask us if we win the next 15 games, you know shit like that. And now it actually seems slightly realistic when the reporters ask them, they say, well, we hope so, like they startin to belive shit might happen. Its a crazy ride for sure, Im havin my fun while it lasts even if they dont make it this was still a incredible run.

And if they do make it....I would NOT want to be the team to play them. 8o
 
The Devils went down to Georgia and came back with 2 points. I'm absolutely loving this. We're 8 points back from the 8th place Rangers, but we also have two games at hand, so if we can win those, that gap closes to just 4 points. I have feeling the last match up between the Devils and Rangers is going to be a unbelievably huge game for both teams.

I don't think that there is anything in the world that could even come close to making me as happy as I would be if the Devils got into the playoffs as the 8th seed and kicking the Rangers out of a playoff spot. My shouts of joy would be audible ten miles away if that happens lol.

I believe in this comeback and if my beloved Devils can pull it off, it will truly be one of the most amazing comebacks in not just NHL history, but in all of sports.

yea ATL real talk!!! they 2 spots away now...number 10 since that very nice comeback against the thrashers the other night. im with u.....beatin the rangers and knockin em out of a spot would truly be glorious. big ups on the rangers hate;)

wow, its nutz to think they made it from bein #30 to #10....thats a hell of a climb....
 
tb lost the first game tonight. im kinda pissed that my jobs hours prevent me from watching hockey. i might have to convince them to let me play it over the boh radio for the rest of the playoffs
 
Well, my beloved Devils weren't in it, but I'm pretty happy to see both the Rangers and the Penguins get ousted in the first round. It's just too bad that Buffalo couldn't boot the Flyers in game 7.... It's all good though because the hockey Gods won't allow such an injustice to the game as letting the Flyers win Lord Stanley's Cup. Anybody got predictions for ECF and WCF?

My predictions are:

WCF: Vancouver vs. Detroit, Vancouver will take the series in 6

ECF: Boston vs. Tampa Bay and Tampa will take it in 5.

SCF: Vancouver vs. Tampa Bay.
