New opioid users thread a.k.a. I didn't feel anything!?

right, but norco isnt vocodin. Not like it matters or anything, just curious.

Vicodin is usually used interchangeably to mean "hydrocodone." The names are different, but it's the same shit. This is a pretty poor subject to pick a fight over.

It all depends on your personal reaction to the drug. I'm skinny as hell, and it takes me 30mg WITH 75mg of diphenhydramine potentiation to feel anything from Vicodin, and I don't have a tolerance. As a pain killer, I find it bloody useless, and as a recreational drug only a touch better. But I know other people who can take 5mg and be off their tits giggling and talking gibberish and completely numb.

It's best to try drugs for your first time somewhere where it won't be a problem if you end up ridiculous or passed out, then you can judge from that experience whether you're up to dealing with people. In general, though, opiates are one of the most disguisable/functional highs and hydrocodone is one of the weaker ones. Though it does cause a bit more nausea for some people than other common opiates (personally a dramamine fixes it for me, but that doesn't work for everyone).

cant really give you a number of times I used opiates before I really could appreciate them. I would say about a year or so. I believe after the first time I used heroin, at 16, I began to understand.

Like gomakemeasandwich said, they are the same active ingredient; hydrocodone, and they both have acetaminophen in them as well.

To OP: Start low, two should be OK and if you think you can handle it after 30-45 minutes, another one maybe. If you're going to be using them a lot, look up a cold water extraction though, so you're liver will be around to help you enjoy them in the future! ;)

Where does one draw the line between not feeling anything because of their naturally high tolerance and actually attempting to "beat" that tolerance?

If you take 4 and nothing happens, do you double that? I'm having difficulty trying to find out the appropriate buzz amount without doing something reckless, e.g., ten 7.5mg pills in one sitting "because nothing happened the last time."

I wouldn't double it, I'd maybe take a couple more and see how that goes.

It took about 2-years time following the first opiate I ever ingested before I started to really like them. It was during a period of fairly severe depression in my life that I realized how utterly pleasant opiates are.

The habit didn't form until recently, I started going on binges and these binges would increase in length (from 3 days to 7 days) and in frequency (from once ever couple months to whenever I could get my hands on some opiates).

You should stop while you're ahead but most people are too stubborn to do that and just must learn the hard way. I was certainly like that, nobody could have stopped me with words or horror stories.

bippoar-hey friend, there is NO way that oxy is 50% stronger than hydro. NO POSSIBLE way. me and my friends all feel that hydro is MORE powerful though i KNOW the charts state that oxy is 1.5 times as strong. so ill go with that. but not 50
50% stronger and 1.5x stronger is the same thing..

Is it me or are we going trgough the same topics over and over again but at an alarming rate?

In the old od it would take a week for a topic / question to reappear now just getting of the 1st page seems long enough

thats why I said it didnt matter... cause its the same thing

No harm done. At first I read your answer and thought you were being snippy, but I reread it and it makes sense. I'm just used to seeing Vicodin on message boards and having to translate it to hydrocodone in my head because that's what a poster is usually asking about (hydrocodone as opposed to a brand name drug). No problems with me.

^^ Good point BingeBoy... I might merge the 'newbie to opiates' threads into here as well.

ETA: That's better. And yeah, people should have a look around before they make a thread, seeing as all these threads got made in the last couple of days or so.

perhaps next time you should elaborate on your dosing. its as simple as this....if you ingested 80mg or 40mg for that matter in anyway and you are an opiate "virgin" or just new to them, you should have been nodding pretty hard with plenty of euphoria and itching (esp w oxycodone) if you didnt than you

A) have a tolerance
B)recieved a fake pill which isnt likely
C) you have some kinda of opiate blocking chemical present in your body

that simple, this thread is pointless IMHO. If you want to take a step into addiction and all the bliss it has to offer than by all means keep taking those things. If you like your life the way it is with family, friends, money, school, future, dog, wife, kids whatever you got than stay off of them cuz i guarantee if you keep taking them you will lose ALL of the above.
i dont have a tolerance and my pills are real, is that even possible i've got a chemical blokcing opiates?

Wow this seems like such a waste of good oxycodone

i think codeine is the best opiate to start out with

the first time i didnt get high but i did get real happy almost felt like mdma
i started with codeine but i didnt like it all that much, then i tried tramadol with no succes

today i took 1 40mg pill, and chewed another one a few hours later, also popped a few ritalins
i gotta say i'm starting to like opiates, i know there's euphoria, but its very subtile (i find them alot more subtile then cocaine), so i understand now i didnt feel it at first

the next thing i gotta do now is slow down my use, i dont wonna get addicted

thx for your support guys

Sounds like the start of a new love ;)

You found them more subtle then cocaine? I found cocaine pretty subtle at first, but I can't really remember my first opioid experiences (codeine) too well, so for all I know it could have been similar to your experience.

Good call!

The best opiate high I ever got was from insufflating a 30 mg morphine sulfate tablet, really knocked me back into my chair. :)

I have tried Tramadol (500+ mg), Codeine (100+ mg) and Oxycontin (15 mg) but I never got any good euphoric feeling from them, maybe it's because I use them for killing the pain in my back but that morphine tab was just great. :D

never had one since, not even Oxy for my pain since I am sh*tlisted somewhere as a med abuser because I was plain stupid: my doc gave me 30 x 10 mg Diazepam to "help me with the withdrawals" for weed xD and finished the Diazepam in a few days + some incidents with Ritalin (use them both for anxiety/ADHD now tho).

So it's only Tramadol and daily med pickups for me now :( wish they would just understand the amount of pain/discomfort someone can feel without proper medication and give me something good since I never abused Tramadol or any other pain med, but prolly not going to happen anytime soon *sigh*

Damn, turned my post into a rant so I'll stop here ;) :P
