New opioid users thread a.k.a. I didn't feel anything!?

oxycodone is one of the most euphoric opiates IMO. and the one that causes the most extreme "opiate itches"
 
hydrocodone/vicodin Question

I'm trying to figure out a basic dose for me. I'm 6'5 258 and I want to try hydrocodone for the first time. Here's the problem I have to take a dose that will leave me to be functional as in you couldn't really tell that I was messed up. Is it possible for me to find a dose my first time that will give me some euphoria yet wont make it so I can't function as in sit at a desk and pretend i'm doing some work. Should I take 5mg then if that doesnt work take half of another and so on till I feel the effects? Any advice is appreciated :) Also id have to drive about 6-7ish hours after the dose it would be worn off by then right?
 
Usually 1 or 2 is the regular medical dose for anybody .. but it would be good to know the size of the pills you have considering theres a few of them ... ie 10/325 7.5/500 , 5/500 etc
 
I think a big factor is your personality. I have friend who is a heavy cocaine user and when I give him some oxy it doesn't do much for him. What I'm trying to say is that maybe stimulants is what will give you the euphoria that you're looking for. Personally I'm hypomanic which means I'm naturally all over the place and my brain is over active. That's why I like opiates so much, because it balances me out.
 
Just consider yourself lucky and move on. It isn't worth it as several people have mentioned. Once you figure out how to use it properly you are onto a real slippery(sp?..I'm a bit high and can't spell anymore) slope.
 
I find that oxycodone's euphoric effects are minimal at best. I rarely feel any euphoria at all other than that which is provided by no longer feeling withdrawal. It doesn't matter how much I take, the higher the dose the more tired I feel and that's it. I am either withdrawing, feeling normal, or nodding.
When I first started taking opiates I did feel some sort of euphoria when the dose first started kicking in, but after I became addicted that went away and now all I really feel is the nod.

I couldn't have described that better myself. When I use now it's mostly nodding. But that's not to say that I don't like the nod :\
 
considering your that big, id try 3 frist..... sometimes prescriptions are 7.5/500 and it says to take 2.... which wold be 3 of what you ahve.. id go for 3 man, and fyi3 isnt that much at all so your good
 
I would say 15\20 mg is what you'll wanna take, but I'll have you know that to truly appreciate it's effects you should take 40 mg (do a CWE if you're a liver-lovin' pansy, j\k) when you have nothing important to do.
 
I don't know what's wrong with you but I remember my first opiate experience when they shot me morphine in the hospital I felt like I love everybody around me
and life is beautiful and my broken bones it's nothing.Then doctor gave me script
for perks and I was high every day for a week,that was the best time of my life
3 years later I shoot up dope every day and don't feel nothing even close to what I used to feel. So may be it's good you can't feel nothing good from oc , I wish I
didn't.

Try two first and see how that works since this is your first time, and yes Vicodin wears off in about 3-4 hours so you shouldn't have to worry about driving with it if you're going in 6-7. Whoever's suggesting 40mg is out of their minds.
 
Wow this seems like such a waste of good oxycodone

i think codeine is the best opiate to start out with

the first time i didnt get high but i did get real happy almost felt like mdma
 
If I were you, I would take the vicodin when your at home, on your own time. Ive seen people react to this narcotic in different ways. Some are unaffected, others pass out. Being someone who's 6'5 258, I wouldn't go above 2 or 3 for the first time. The hydrocodone acts on your brain. It doesn't really matter what size you are. It might metabolize different than someone who's 5'8 120, but like I said, everyone reacts different. So do yourself a favor and wait for a time that you can go to sleep if you have to.
 
Yea, I'm gonna go with 3. If you take 3 and an hour later don't feel much pop 2 more. Their only the 5's so it isn't that much. But, the APAP is the problem, but that shouldn't be a problem taking 3-5 pills.

Well enjoy! I personally can't stand Vicodin, i used to love it but now it makes me sicker than a dog. Plus i can't feel the darn things since going up the ladder to Fent/oxy/pods
